How would they know whether it was Jayme or Denise?
There could be a pitch difference or they could have heard the shots that killed Denise. Either way, someone corrected me above. I'll say, as a note, my voice and my Mom's voice, especially at that age, are quite distinguishable. A scream could be the mere sound or the person can scream words. Either way, I'm sure an analyst could distinguish the voices.

Hey guys....since some of you weren't here last night @Wrenny posted a link to the full 911 log. Thread 6 post 516.

Interesting to see it all in it's native form. Don't mention names as one might be a minor and other person mentioned is Mom's brother.

AMBER ALERT - WI - Jayme Closs, 13, Barron, missing after parents found shot to death, 15 Oct 2018 *endangered* #6

Thank you very much for posting call log...very interesting to see in native form. Terribly sorry if I missed this...has someone mapped where the police station is in perspective to the Closs house in perspective to the casino? TIA

We know Nicole Lovell climbed out her window to meet an older guy. Kids do fall for such things. Photos show police examining the deck area intensely so it seems there may have been something going on there. I’d assume there’s a door there.
This is very true.

I was actually just thinking about this and thinking about how in many of these internet stranger abductions the girls do go willingly. Perhaps, if this is an internet relationship gone wrong, the man developed an obsession and Jayme was trying to cut it off. If she was consenting to leave, I would think she would have just met him somewhere, even if it was sneaking out at night. Just my thoughts.

If dad recently got in from work then he was probably in the living room at the time while everyone else could have been in their own room.

Jayme wouldn't have on shoes nor a jacket.

So which jacket and shoes or clothes are missing from the home?
Yes, that's the problem. It would be almost impossible for LE to figure out, otherwise there would be a description of what she was wearing. Jmo

okay, another theory - I have NO reason to believe it's true, other than to throw it out there for speculation
What if the shooter were someone the family knows? What if someone in the family were having problems with this person for reasons ranging from stalking to an argument over whether something was stolen? What if this person is a bf (current, former or otherwise) of Jayme and he decided to take (rescue) her? That would incite enough anger/emotion for a physical confrontation which got out of hand. Mom and dad protecting her from being taken. Or, again - speculation - what if Jayme was sneaking out to meet someone and they got caught and it got out of hand? So many scenarios, it makes one's head spin, almost.

"Deputies arrived at that address a short time after the call ended to find no one around on the outside,” Sheriff Fitzgerald says as deputies approached the house, they saw the front door was open and there was a deceased male in that front door way. Officers later found a deceased female while searching the rest of the home.

UPDATE: Sheriff: Missing girl was in home at the time of the murders

I think when the Sheriff was asked this same question later he did not realize how people were reading the 911 log and just answered yes that James had answered the door (meaning at the time of the murder). I am convinced that the officer saying man down meant that James was not at the door opening it for the officers.

Why would LE say it was kicked in, rather than shot in, if that were true?
The dispatch log reflects what the responding officers initially see at the crime scene. With the door damaged and open, then a body lying in the doorway and a larger crime scene unfolding, it’s fair to say his focus wasn’t on further examining the door at that point.

I keep thinking the same thing about the reference to a possible suicide. I am wondering if ‘suicide’ or a threat to kill oneself was heard during the yelling in the background of the 911 call.
i think this is another instance of information not being clear at all. i was really confused about the suicide angle as well, thinking it was logged as that based on the phone call alone before any officer ever arrived at the house. now however i believe that it was based on the officer seeing james on the floor with a gunshot. i don't think it had to do with the call at all. but someone please correct me if i am wrong.

It’s possible she’s been seen on camera somewhere very recently. Maybe a shop owner recognised her, told LE, they check camera and there she is.
I'm guessing no on that one. They would have been posting her picture everywhere and a BOTLO

To those who think Jayme was the target, I have two questions:

1) Why choose this plan, inevitably the path of most resistance? It doesn’t take much to come up with a plan that likely wouldn’t result in a violent confrontation and double homicide, so why would the assailant(s) choose likely the worst available option?

2) From the moment the front door was breached the assailants were in the house for over 20 minutes, but disappeared with Jayme within four minutes of the 911 call. If abducting Jayme were the objective, why weren’t they gone in 5 minutes or less? It’s not going to take 20+ minutes to round up the kid and leave, especially considering the father was out of the way almost immediately.

Amanda Blackburn was raped by Larry Taylor and then shot in the head, police sources told the news station. The other two men believed to be involved in the break-in had left the home with Blackburn’s ATM card to withdraw money when she was raped and killed, sources told Fox 59.

I think that's the reason LE is asking about anyone having a misunderstanding with the parents. I would imagine they have been able to look into Jayme' s SM accounts by now. Jmo

Agree. This level of rage feels very personal.

That frosted pane door must have been the BR door.
It was the front storm door.

Kids would have certain goto hood jackets or something on cold nights.

She seemed like her winter wardrobe may be basic and only consist of either these shoes or that jacket. So hopefully someone can tell LE if something is missing.

Especially the clothes she wore that day since they were probably more accessible if the perp told her to throw on something. Jmo.

How did the person(s) get JC out of the house and into the car so quickly after the 911 call without drawing attention to themselves as they sped away. Was the car parked close to one of the doors into the house? Was JC struggling, being carried, drugged maybe, hands maybe bound together, on the trip between the house and car?

You know tasers and stun guns are very popular now. Boyfriends are now gifting them to their girlfriends for protection.

Tasers and stun guns differ in various things, the biggest being range. While a Taser can be shot from a distance, a stun gun requires direct contact with the attacker. Both deliver a powerful shock to the attacker and are meant to give you time to create some distance between the two of you.

Bend at your knee and with as much force as you have strike the door with the flat of your foot

To kick in a door which is probably a steel insulated door, one would not do it with Tennkes ( that is what we call them in MN) I would think leather boots are needed. Nobody wears shoes except to work.

Do teens have leather boots? Or would it be an older person? Teens in MN wear tennies year round although Birkenstocks with wool socks are popular for winter

No, he definitely did not open the door for officers, that we do know. He was unresponsive and the door was open when they arrived.
