From a July 18 interview with CB, Rose's sister:
Wells nightmare worsens as boys removed | The Rogersville Review (subscribe or disable ad-blocker to view)

[...]

Grandmother [CH, Rose's mother] splits time between Tennessee and Wisconsin anyway, [CB] said.

“She’s been down here off and on for about four years. She goes back up north because she’s got grandkids up there, too. So, six months, nine months, she goes back. She leaves her camper here. She wasn’t supposed to leave actually until September, but she had to go up there and help her. Her doctor’s appointment is up there in October. Right after her doctor’s appointment, she’ll be back,” [CB] said.

Summer is the second person close to Grandmother [CH] to disappear without a trace. Her daughter – and [CB's] sister – Rose Marie Bly, went missing 12 years ago.

According to the FBI, “Bly was last seen leaving her residence in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin, en route to Cushing, Wisconsin, a distance of five miles. Her car was recovered five days later in Grantsburg, Wisconsin, in a parking lot typically used by truck drivers to park their tractor trailers. This parking lot is approximately 30 miles from her residence.”

[CB] was asked how her mother was handling the disappearance of two family members.

“Mom, she’s okay. My sister has been gone for 11, 12 years now. It’s hard on her. It’s not at all (easy). We just sit here and wonder because her story doesn’t even make sense. She was on her way to meet her cousin at the bar and never made it to the bar. And it was like two miles from her house. Then her car shows up about a week later in Grantsburg with no fingerprints and no nothing on it,” [CB] said.

The Polk County (WI) Sheriff’s Office and FBI still consider it an open case under investigation.

Cousin said there were no plans to meet. A woman missing; a mother waiting
I wonder if She said was going to meet up with her cousin as a cover. Then she went to the truck parking spot to make some money <modsnip>. ( Not judging that) just seeing it as something someone would do as a means to support her family, children, and put food on the table. There she could have met up with a trucker/ serial killer. The fact that they have DNA in her car with no match makes me think that's a possibility. I trust that those known to her have submitted DNA. MOO

Apologies up front if this info has been shared and I've missed it. Were they able to ping her phone in any way to determine where she made that call from when she told him she would be home? Or where her phone had traveled that evening? (And it just now dawns on me that I'm assuming she had a cell phone and didn't call from a land line somewhere. The additional problem with verifying that phone calls were made is that you can't necessarily verify who made them. If the husband (Ex) says it was her, we're pretty much forced to accept his word (unless there's a recording somewhere?). Similarly, unless someone else overheard her say it, we're probably also forced to take his word for it that she told him that she had plans to meet the cousin. I don't mean to imply that I have reason not to believe him (LE has stated that he's been very open & that he appears to up front and not attempting to deceive them iirc). But I do want to make sure I have a good grasp on about where all of the "known facts" on the case have originated.

Also, one other thought I had here: Mid to Late August is when many towns in the Midwest see fairs travel thru before schools start back up. Wouldn't it be an ironic coincidence if RB - either due to the possible head injury from the horse fall, or out of a desire to get away from the possible DV situation at home - simply decided to "runaway & join the circus" so to speak (meaning that maybe she become a Carny with the fair and left of her own accord - at least initially).

The fact that her sister traveled with a carnival for years makes this very plausible, but surely they checked since the relationship to her sister was so close . . . still very interesting.

I wonder if it was verified somehow that she actually drove her vehicle away from home that night.
I wonder: who actually parked it? Someone took the time to wipe away prints. Why?

If she was visiting a trucker (I don't think she was), wouldn't they go to his truck?

Just maybe they can trace the DNA with today's technology. In fact, I am rooting for that.

All my current opinions only.

Missing Persons of America -Rose Marie Bly missing from Wisconsin

June 17, 2021, content is copy protected, so you have to read it for yourself. Interesting info all together.

What stands out to me is that her cousin says she had not made plans to meet Rose, at all, that night. And also the husband seems to have called one of Roses friends (a woman) the next day. Rose supposedly told her husband they were going to meet and go out together, cousin, friend and herself. Husband contacts this woman the next day, asking if she knows where is wife is. She doesn't. I wonder where this lady fits into Rose's life. It looks like she doesn't know Rose's husband, or she is playing dumb, but he knows her parents, going to their house.

What if the husband told the truth...she telling him she is going out with a cousin and a friend. The reason why this comes up in her missing person's file (Charley P) It's most likely the story told by her husband. But she has totally other plans, she doesn't want to share with her husband, and she meets up with someone who doesn't have very good intentions.

LE searched her phone records, so they must know if Rose made that call to her husband (we don't now fur sure what was said in this phone call, but) allegedly told her husband she would be home at midnight. I might hope they checked her husbands phone or home phone records too, so it's confirmed she called him during the evening (at what time was that?). Why would you call home telling you will be there in a while and then never show up. IMO that isn't consistent with somebody planning to leave on her own account. Totally no need to make that phone call to her husband.

An other scenario is also very possible. Rose comes home, maybe lying and he knows or saying she met a new love, things escalate, etc. Contacting the friends parents, the friend and the cousin as a kind of playing the concerned husband.....

All IMO

Went through the <modsnip> different mising FB pages. They even had to close down one of them.

This is a running missing FB page for Rose Bly. Log In or Sign Up to View

I must say it's very hard to get the timeline and the events happening on the night Rose went missing right. Also I feel very sad what I see happen on a missing persons FB page....it's not helping at all. I totally get why LE is asking people only to share info with them and not post on the FB site. There are many conflicting stories, even from those who are supposed to have been close to her. Those people have been posting on the FB site, IMO feeling the need to react on accusations or suggestive questions (besides those who were sincere) of the public. Totally human. Sadly that is also the start of different stories, that don't seem to add up. Going to a Karaoke bar in Cushing, Wisconsin with a cousin, expected to show up at a birthday party in Grantsburg, Wisconsin, etc.

I hope LE has their story-line in order. I believe all of her family members, including her husband, and associates were cleared.

Edit to add

Also someone posted a picture of the parking lot her car was found. To me it's seems a completely normal parking space, on the picture no tractor trucks seen at all.

A friend of mine was murdered (solved). Her car was found neatly parked early the next morning. Only problem, her body was found prior to the car being found. Not what the murderer had planned.

So, Rose might not have ever put her car in that lot. Of course, she may still be living. But, that still doesn't mean she was the last person to drive her car.

All we know is her Grand Am was there. We don't know that Rose was there. Do we know how long it had been parked?

I tried looking this article up but it’s not showing up. Does anyone know if LE confirmed her husband passed the polygraph or if the husband just came out and said this?

Five years gone - Leader 2, written on August 13, 2014.

It took a while but finally the article you mention opened. This is in it:

Next week marks five years since she was last seen, and while the rumors have swirled, and lives have changed, the search goes on, according to Polk County Sheriff Peter Johnson.

“It’s still being actively investigated,” he stated, giving few details about the case in recent times. “Nobody is ruled out.”

“Our official statement is that nobody is ruled out,” Johnson stated, which is a clarification from several years ago, when it was made public that her husband had passed a polygraph test.

Some interesting reads in that group.

The husband has said he never told anyone she left for Cushing that night. He claims he stated she was meeting up with a cousin but never said she was headed to Cushing… Reports ive read state that he told authorities she was going to Cushing. If that wasn’t accurate why would he just now be speaking up about it?
