Will the Long Island Serial Killer ever be caught?

I have been picked up many times by friends on motorcycles. Always took cell phone.. even before id. If we had an accident or got stuck i wanted to be able to call for help. Even with out pockets.
Cell phones were not left behind. Its debatable whether Amber had one or not. I doubt a bike was used. Will the killer ever be caught? Who knows. It looks like one in the Hampton Bays will get away with murder. Disgusting.

IF the LISK killer/killers are still alive they will not be able to stop killing. Unless they've died, the best they could do would control it for a few years, or do just a single kill somewhere else to get their fix while laying low, i.e. B.T.K.
They'll eventually make a mistake as all eventually do, if they haven't already. Without DNA they'd only know it's him by confession, unless another victim has the same M.O. Like the burlap bags to connect them back to LISK murders.
If they're still alive, then they're not going to kill in GB again, or has moved somewhere else to start again. As high profile case this is, I don't believe they would stay around, or at the least the MO will definitely change.
Like many here have said, if he's still alive then only a very lucky unrelated arrest will catch them.
Personally I believe they live on LI, or in the vicinity where anyone from there wouldn't suspect them if they were seen parked along GB, allowing them to dump the bodies. Better yet it could be 2 people that both live on LI, and work together.
I'm sure it's been discussed, but has LE checked for the IP address of any people who contacted the Craigslist posts, or were they all contacted by phone? Even so there should be numbers on the phone records that point towards who it could be. Especially if the same numbers appear on several of the girls phones.

Is there really that long of a gap? There are tons of unidentified bodies male and female going all the way back to Bittrolff's murders and long before when you read through seaslug's post about the unsolved murders. The brentwood 15 year old kid dumped in a sump, Scoliosis man, Sugar bear, Mickey mouse blanket boy on the beach in rockaway, Peaches, Cherries, Tanya Rush, the AC victims, Wolf hill Road man and many others. It seems the killer was very active in the late 90's early 2000's. What's the longest gap between a murder?
Just jumping in here,Lindsay to say I agree. I live on LI and there are several I unsolved murders that I have always wonderd if they were committed by the LISK. I know from talking to my detective friends the belief is he's dead. Not sure I believe it. Hopefully,now with the FBI getting involved we'll see some movement.

One unsolved murder case I took interest in is the murder of Peter Ghattas, in Ronkonkoma on 9/24/03. He was murdered 3 weeks after detectives brought him to Spota and Burke's office on 9/3/03, and gave them information about Burke's neighbor.
The detective that was charged with investigating the Ghattas murder is the same detective that wrote to Newsday that he heard the SG 911 tapes and found nothing of concern in SG's voice.
The LISK killer being involved in the Ghattas case? Depends on what you mean as 'involved' and in what manner.

Luv are they referring to Bissett or another deceased person? I was watching a tv last night and the detective said it was very unusual for someone to commit suicide in a parked car in a parking lot. Is that true? Have the circumstances of JB's death ever been disclosed? From what I've heard it seems very suspicious and I'm not convinced
I was told that they thought it was Bissett and he committed suicide. No mention of how. Just to add neither of these detectives that spoke to me were in any way working the case. This is what they were told in police circles I imagine. IMO, as a Suffolk County resident I'm appalled at tge way the LISK case has been handled. I don't believe for one minute that Shannon Gilbert's death was accidental. I happen to know someone that lives on Oak Beach,but due to WS rules I don't believe I can say what she has told me since she's not MSM.

so is the mother's dna in a database? And not the childs? If so the child could be kept out if they believed the father was the killer, but that what would be crazy. If the child was entered and her father had a record it could lead to identifying the mother. Of course, it is just possible that these pepole just moved out and away. Do the Brewers know where went ?"

Also here is a reference to the drifter, I have always felt the drifter is suspect number 1, and we still don't know who he is...despite many contradictory claims, an autobiography and even a suspicious sighting involving brewer and the drifter moving bags into a uhaul in the middle of the night.

I personally know Joe and his friend who lived with him we grew up together. And Joe grew up with a great family as did his roommate. Until they have concrete evidence he is innocent!
