Bolded by me...

It's not her nails that seem freakish to me, it's her.

I suspect a famous actress with the initials AJ would agree with me.

Those poor poor POOR (in all ways) poor children should not have this person for a 'mother'.

Oh, you are correct - her whole deal is freakish. I didn't mean to say only the nails. But they drive me nuts - one of the weirdest french jobs I have ever seen. Does AJ wear hers that way?

You say things so well!
Thank you! I love your avatar!

If Nadya had the Guatemalan maid, when did she use the Merry Poppins Nanny Service? I am getting lost with all Nadya's stories!

I don't have a problem with anyone receiving food stamps or SSI, but it seems like there is gross abuse of these programs- Nadya just pushed it to the level of "I can't BELIEVE this woman!"... Back when the supposed "welfare reform" took place, it seems most recipients were sent to the SSI program and other "entitlement programs" that were created just to make it look like the welfare rolls were shrunk. Now that the country is in an economic crisis, I can only look at Nadya and wonder how in the hell she could have a nanny when we can't afford a night out or a babysitter? I guess it doesn't matter whether or not she receives "welfare" on a technical level but IMO she is receiving Well Fare- she seems to be faring better than many of us.

I'm sorry for being a ranter! :blowkiss: Thanks for putting up with me!
I love your rants! :blowkiss:

I've got one for today, too. :D It's about these cries of death threats.

When the publicist was asked for examples, all she came up with -- that I heard -- were things like, "Someone should [remove] your uterus," "You don't deserve to live," and other things like that. (Did any of you hear worse?)

Granted, they are despicable things to say, but "death threats"? I've seen death threats sent to a relative of mine for decades (he holds a public position) and they are much more direct: "I know where you live, and will be waiting." "Make out your will."

Even so, I still might believe the publicist, if it weren't for the fact that they only found it necessary for her to go into hiding for like 48 hours, then felt safe to go right back to her mother's? Puleeeze. :floorlaugh:

Add to that: the police didn't say they were even going to look into the claims until after she was back home. From my experience, had they looked like real threats to her safety, the police would have been shown them from the start, already been investigating, and had a part in protecting her. At the least, they would have said, "Yes, there have been threats on her."

Even with all the above, it wouldn't irritate me so much, if only I weren't reading about these death threats  in every article about her now. It just all feels like a stunt to gain sympathy and make her detractors look irrational, and the media buys right into it. Bah.

OK, I feel better now. :cheerful:

ITA. That is exactly what it seems like.

Jholi, I had to go look at my avatar to see what it was! Getting scatterbrained!

Honest, can you believe the death threat thing? I feel bad if the publicist was targeted with threats, I think they were only trying to help Nadya and the kids but the first thing would have been to get Nadya to shut up! I hope the agent can do a better job. (What a mess!)

I don't know about you all but whenever people death threat me, the first thing I do is go out and shop and have my nails done...

There is an interesting article on the other thread (I think it's in the Jury Room) about the church not even knowing Nadya- it may be here too? Anyway, they were very nice in their wording about not funding her.

Have a great day! Boyz_Mum:blowkiss:

If she is making money on interviews and such, I sure hope the state of California is taking note and making her pay for the dr and hospital bills at least!

the agent,Wes Yoder,is the same one the parents of the septuplets (the McCaughey's) used.he was very instrumental in not letting them participate in any sort of tabloid trash, and in helping to keep a positive public image of them.she was wise to choose him,and she would be wise to do what he says.whether she chooses to or not remains to be seen.she appears to have a very cavalier attitude about the whole thing,as if they are her babies, and so she will get to take them home,no matter what.
usually someone uses an agent for public image and to help chose and filter through what offers they can and should accept.it doesn't necessarily mean she is going for a tv show.

I do hope that Mr. Yoder can help her image. In some of the original articles it did say that Nadya was interested in doing a television show (along the lines of the Duggars and John and Kate).

"Cavalier" is a nice word to describe her attitude.

Have a great night! :blowkiss:

 Personally, I don't think having an agent, publicist or anything is the right thing for this woman to even have on the top 100 of her list of priorities. There are much much more important things to be doing, like assisting with hospital staff in nurturing your 8 children, talking & soothing them, feeding them (if they can), etc....

Agent? Goodness me. I know ulcers are caused by a virus but this womans' actions have managed to send me through the roof.

Still praying for CPS to do the right thing and remove these children even if it is only until she gets her crap together, makes some money and finds a viable way to prove she can afford to raise & FEED these children.

I understand where you're coming from PattyCake. In the long run though if an agent can help guide this woman, maybe she'll learn something? There was an interview with Grandma I watched today and it seems that the agent might be softening up some of the edges (if he was in charge of the interview). Grandma looked tired but she didn't seem ready to run (like she'd been previously quoted). I'm wishing the best for the kids.

I've been a ranting loon for the past few weeks about this story. I don't know a viable way for Nadya to raise and feed these children- maybe the agent will help and find a way to ease up the burden on the taxpayers. :blowkiss:

Wes Yoder claims to have given the octuplet mom some advice pro bono and considered a request of hers to represent her as well as the children....he decided against it.

Wonder if she is aware of this yet?

The advice was, of course, about licensing the photos and videos....sigh...

In this interview Suleman's mother seems to soften her stance against her daughter now that she has seen her grandchildren.

Is it just me, or does it sound a little like she is begging now too?????:waitasec:

well there has to be a larger reason. I suspect he realized it was a very bad business decision and quickly stepped away.

It does to me as well. It could be that if no public assistance is available that she feels the burden will be passed upon her. Going with the groundswell against any better odds. This is a sad situation no matter who is acting out because it isn't the babies. They were just born.

I don't think that she is begging. I think that she has resigned herself to the fact that no matter how it happened, she has 14 grandchildren and, she cannot turn her back on them.

to claim a back injury after seeing this photo just makes me madder:furious:

she can protest all she wants but she's working the system in every way she can.

She also has the " cat who ate the canary" look on her face. She was obviously thinking of the little ones in that belly as money makers for her.

seems she is having trouble finding anyone to represent her.no one wants to be associated with such negativity (can't say I blame them),and that's probably the real reason the publicist quit.bad for biz.

whether it is ethical or not is up for topic,I suppose.it seemed to work well for the McCaughey's,but they weren't on any type of gov't funding, and wanted to handle accepting donations and raising funds for their 8 kids with grace, which they seemed to have accomplished.I know they're very restrictive about whom they allow interviews with anymore, and I think they do max 2 per yr,one with LHJ magazine on the seps bdays, and their yearly one with Ann Curry.(whom I think they consider to be almost an aunt now).

HEY BoyzMUM - curious what has occured for you to have a change of pace here? I'd like to feel the same way for these children but not feeling I'm anywhere near that point yet. TY for your feedback, etc...

For me, it's never been - EVER - about any taxpayers monies, never about people trying to 'donate' to her, etc... It's been about her actions, her words and most of all her priorities. That deeply concerns me for ALL the 14 children.

While her parents are there for now, although admittedly financially struggling themselves, what happens when one of them suddenly dies or is injured and theres NO financial help from family.

I believe and feel for the moment, that the Grandmother has been the person who's raised the 1st 6 kids mostly. Now 14? Has got to be so very overwhelming to them all.................. knowing their daughters' habits, job status, etc.

The father of the Octopulets mom initially claimed he was immediately going back to the middle east to work to raise more money for this, yet he's still here. So it concerns me as to what's going on behind closed doors.

I dunno, it seems almost impossible for CPS or anyone to allow these children to go to a home with 3 bedrooms, no money and a mother so far has shown her priorities to be anything BUT the children still lingering in the hospital.

OH that's her excuse for not working for so long? OMG... no words at the moment.

Let's hope that Octomum is getting help and guidance in looking after her litter from the hospital

I also have to believe that she is being investigated as we speak.

Fisrt thing I see needing to be done is - clean the house and yard!! - And trust me - I'm not into housekeeping!

Hey PattyCake! I'm still really uptight about the situation- I am still very suspicious of Nadya and Grandma- but when Grandma mentioned that the babies are a miracle in that "nice" interview, I kind of softened a little. She said that for all 8 to survive and do well this far that it is a miracle and in that regard I suppose I agreed. (Seeing the photos made me melt inside a little too.)

I do hope that this situation is monitored closely- for the same reasons you've mentioned above. I also think it would be a great idea for a court appointed representative to be put in place to disperse the funds that are received on behalf of the children as I don't think Nadya is capable of handling the funds. I kind of think the 3 bedroom home could be arranged in a fashion to allow them to stay there until something bigger/better is afforded- people have made even less than that work for them?

All in all, I'm still pretty torqued up about the whole affair, but I'm hoping that somehow it works out for the children. It makes me feel bad that they've been dragged through this freakshow Nadya created.

:blowkiss:

I don't think Octomom has any concept as to what is like to bring 6 little ones let alone 14. She has an entitlement attitude and lives in LALA land. I'm starting to think her dream is to buy abig house beside Angelina, they will become best friends and live happily ever after. This girl has huge issues and has most likely gotten her way all her life. I pray to god, someone steps in and saves these children. This woman is definitedly dillusional. :banghead:

I know,I know to the basement with we !!:bang:
