“Islamic State fanatics and other terror groups are planning another massive attack on the scale of 9/11, a top US security chief warned today.

Elaine Duke, Donald Trump’s acting Secretary of Homeland Security, said jihadists were using crude knife and van attacks to keep their members engaged and their finances flowing as they plot another ‘big explosion’ similar to the September 2001 atrocities.

Speaking at the US embassy in London, she said intelligence is pointing to extremists plotting to take down planes to inflict mass civilian casualties.
Following the recent wave of attacks in Manchester and London, police chiefs have said the threat facing the UK is a ‘new norm’ that will not change.

But Mrs Duke said ISIS is currently in an ‘interim’ period focusing on a much bigger endgame.”

I don’t think this news would come as any surprise to anyone but I hope and pray they don’t succeed. I’m concerned about new attacks happening in London and Europe near and during the festive period. It was awful last New Year with the attack in Turkey.

Early on Tuesday morning, special forces of the federal police arrested the 19-year-old Syrian Yamen A. on suspicion of preparing a serious act of violence against the state.

Apparently, the attack south of the state capital of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern has been planned for a long time. A police spokesperson in Schwerin said that during the anti-terrorism operation at 6 a. m., three apartments in a prefabricated housing estate in Schwerin's Neu Zippendorf district were searched at the same time.

Several hundred policemen of the state and the federal government have been involved in extensive observation and investigation activities for days.

According to the investigations so far, the accused from New Zippendorf is "urgently suspicious" to have prepared an explosive attack in Germany. The authorities have said that the plans had already been "substantive".

According to the investigators, Yamen A. decided in July 2017 to detonate an explosive device in Germany "in order to kill and injure as many people as possible". The young man has apparently been in the focus of the authorities for some time.

Here we go again ..... would dear Yamen be a refugee, an unaccompanied minor who lost it all in a perilous journey until he was lovingly received by the German taxpayer? Next we probably find out he isn't 19, nor Syrian, nor refugee, but a hardcore member of ISIS.

NYC-Well, for the record---8 innocents were killed, 9 injured---2 critically, after an ISIS inspired attack by an immigrant from uzbekistan drove a truck down a bicycle path, mowing people down. This happened with the World Trade Memorial , seen looming in the background, in NYC.

One of the surviving victims had both legs amputated. :cry:

According to BILD information, the potential target is said to have been the Christmas market in Essen. Investigators would've heard that during phone tapping.

The market starts next week. Previously, the "Hessischer Rundfunk" had reported this with reference to sources from the investigators' circles. The police have not yet confirmed this.

The men probably knew each other from Syria, but in Germany they caught the attention of other refugees who reported them to the police. Then the investigation against the men began.

A total of eight apartments in Kassel, Hanover, Essen and Leipzig were searched. Six Syrian nationals (between 20 and 28 years of age) were arrested. Four of them have been living in Germany since December 2014, the other two since mid 2015 as asylum seekers.

BTW, the German taxpayer gladly foots the bill for food, lodging, healthcare and legal support in return for an occasional attack on a Christmas market. It would be selfish not to.

I was worried about this happening again. The Christmas markets here in Scotland have road blocks and barricades up to try and prevent attacks. I sincerely hope that such measures are taking place across Europe too. Here's hoping for a peaceful Christmas and New Year this year.

The jihadis have circulated images on messaging apps including one in which a black-clad hooded figure is seen standing over a kneeling Santa Claus with an image of Regent Street in the background.

A message in English, French, and German says 'Soon on your holidays' with the clear implication that London can expect a terrorist attack over the holiday season.

“Police have arrested a 20-year-old man who was allegedly planning a terrorist attack in Melbourne on New Year's Eve.

The young man was arrested by special operations police officers at 3pm on Monday following raids on two homes in Werribee and Meadow Heights.
Police also raided a business in nearby Footscray.

The arrest was a joint effort by Victoria Police, AFP and ASIO named Operation Jose.”

Hogmanay celebrations in the Scottish Capital could be a terror target, a top security advisor to Police Scotland has warned.

The new year festivities are expected to attract around 80,000 people to the centre of Edinburgh .

Counterterrorism security advisor Neil Philip said there was no specific threat but stressed the nationwide alert remains severe, meaning a UK attack is highly likely.

And that the high-profile event had the potential for mass casualties such as the Manchester Arena or London Bridge-style lone wolf or organised group assaults.

ISIS supporters and militants are sharing a new graphic which issues a chilling threat to the UK.

The poster has appeared on known ISIS channels and depicts an armed jihadist in front of Big Ben, SITE Intel reports.

A message reads: "We will destroy your country, as you destroyed our country."

It comes after militants called for terror attacks on Christmas markets in Britain and Europe during the festive period.

The ISIS propaganda material issues a rallying cry for followers to carry out atrocities in the UK, Germany and France.

Posters circulated via messaging apps include the phrase "soon on your holidays" written in English, German and French.

It certainly seems they are unsurprisingly issuing a rallying cry for attacks to happen in the U.K and Europe during the Christmas season. It is very worrying.

During the celebrations on New Year's Eve (2015 / 2016) (Wikipedia) there were mass sexual assaults, 24 alleged rapes, and numerous thefts in Germany, mainly in Cologne city center. All of the incidents involved women being surrounded and assaulted by groups of men on the street. Police reported that the perpetrators were men of "Arab or North African appearance" and said that Germany had never experienced such mass sexual assaults before.

The German Federal Criminal Police Office said the incidents were, "A phenomenon known in some Arab countries as taharrush jamai" (translated as "group sexual harassment") Chief Prosecutor Ulrich Bremer stated that "the overwhelming majority" of suspects were asylum seekers and illegal immigrants who had recently arrived in Germany.

Few perpetrators were identified, even less were brought to justice and the few convictions were a laugh, both in number and in punishment.

Mayor Henriette Rieker rose to fame when she falsely declared that there was "no evidence that people who are residing in Cologne as refugees are amongst the perpetrators" and she advised women to keep strangers at an arm's length.
