Hadn't considered that, actually. But didn't they WANT the autopsy report released? Why the change of heart now?

Because then they knew there was no way in heck they were going to get it, now they are going to get it and so is everyone else - except they still won't get the notes or a TOD estimate which is really all they wanted.

They weren't going to get a good (or better) TOD several weeks ago either. Those things are pretty loose estimates...maybe they could get it down to 12 hrs at the point a body is out for 3 days, but I don't think they'd be able to get it down to within a 2 hr timeframe, for instance. Not unless she had been found relatively quickly (within 24 hrs). IMHO, I don't think the ME's estimate for TOD is going to do anything to help BC (if, in fact, the ME even makes such an estimate).

And the wanted estimated TOD and notes would have ended up with their flimsy explanations on their website...........along with the scratches and the receipts and tapes...... :-(

I think it will be tighter than 12 hours but definitely not within 2 hours, no way. We won't know unless somehow it gets leaked out by either the ME or LE and for some reason I don't think that is going to happen.

Just the part that put TOD after 7am...

Really? I'll be interested to see. My brother's TOD estimate could only get it to within 1/2 a day at best and he was not outside where animal activity was a factor. In his case the ME estimated he had been dead 36 - 48 hrs from when he was found and that's as accurate as they could get.

ok peeps I'm getting off here. I need a massage....after all I took a beatin' at GoLo today. Apparently I have some "issues' because I accused BC of murder. LOL Since I have issues I deserve a massage.....

I do think so - for one reason you cite - animal/bug activity. Also alchohol/medication metabolism might well assist.

SG I'm sorry about your brother. Can I ask - was he in a temperature controlled environment? A building? His home? His bedroom? If you don't want to answer please ignore me.

Oh it's fine now...he's in a much better place and I'm totally at peace with it. The first year was hard though. It's been almost 5 years. He was found dead in bed (on my Bday, no less :frown:) My parents were in FL and unable to reach him and so they called the police (he lived in PA) and the police had to break the lock on his apt. door. The autopsy showed it was a "myocardial infarction with thrombosis." Major heart attack probably from a blood clot or blockage. Probably happened in his sleep per the ME (at least we hope so). He was 43. So it was a few days after Xmas and he was in an apt that was probably around 72 degrees, give or take. It was an apt building of maybe 200 units, 9 floors. So it appears he died sometime on 12/27 but he was found on 12/29. His death cert. said 12/29 since that's the day he was actually found.

Anyway, thus my interest in how narrow a TOD the ME can get in THIS case since there are more variables at play.

RC I had not thought of the alcohol/medication metabolism factor. I don't know anyone personally with crohn's disease. Are they allowed to consume alcohol? How does it affect their meds. Looks like I need to do some more research.

Alcohol is supposedly a no no but perhaps in extreme moderation okay. After all, we have been told about those expensive wines she liked...but Crohns affected persons should avoid several things , caffine and alcohol are right up there.

Aww SG I'm so sorry!! I too hope it was in his sleep. So pretty much a controlled temp environment and no bug/animal activity. It would be a difference for sure.

They needed dental records to identify her body.
The best gauge will be the size of the maggot larvae taken from her orifices.....12 hour estimate at best.

I think that when he went to the store the first time he was nervous and forgot to use his vic card and his debit card. When he got back home he realized this and went back in order to establish an alibi. He didn't want to rely on just the cameras that might not be turned on or working . The second time around he wanted to make sure that everyone knew he was there. Did someone say he wore a watch in one frame and not the other?

Yep. Thanks. He had a lot of mental and physical challenges and escalating health issues as well. It was TRULY the kindest thing that the universe took care of him in the best way for him.

blech!! I luv ya JTF but I really have to go now. You and SG have to yell Boo at me tomorrow while we're posting because I'm going to be at work with toothpicks propping my eyes. You too RC!!!

Maggot larvae and orifices - just can't think about it. How can any person do that to another person....specially a man who is supposed to love his wife???? Dragging my pillow behind me as I find a corner to go cry and pray for Nancy and Michelle.......
