Praying real hard for this little girl. If it doesn't make sense, it's a lie.

I don't know what it means either. That struck me as a mysterious statement. SOMEONE saw her at 6:30 a.m., don't know who. 6:30 seems early for a 3 year old to be up -

Most likely, the news only reported part of what the family said.

what does that mean?

"Around 9 or 9:30, I went back in to wake her up and she was gone," said Lena Lunsford, Aliayah's mother.

Does this mean the mom saw her earlier? When did she originally go in, as to say "I went back" means to me a 2nd time.

When was the first time?

I took it to mean I went back to wake her after having checked on her at 6:30 am.

IMO a half hour window of when a parent notices their 3 yr old missing screams red flags to me. I see a pattern here too - multiples of 3's. 6:30-9-9:30, 3 hour window. Maybe it is my being over tired, maybe it is due to the target of a timeline for Bob Harrods case, but after reading this MSM article I feel more concerned rather than less concerned.

Was there evidence of a break in?
She has young children (an infant), why was Aliayah still in bed (or assumed to be) at 9:30?? Where was the rest of the family?
I don't assume Aliayah had her own room.. where was she sleeping?
Were the doors and windows locked? Were there any missing toys (Jessica Lunsford :()
Where is Aliayah's bio dad?
Sigh.....

"Right now there are no clues leading us anywhere. No clues. It's like she's just disappeared," Posey said.

And as family members wait out the search, they say all they can do is ask for your help...

"They are doing everything that they possibly can, but the more people we can get to help, the better chances of bringing her home," Lunsford said

Bendale Church, next to the armory, did have food and drink for the searchers. All other churches are bringing donations and other people too. The divers are beneath the bridge I mentioned earlier. they did add a guardrail to the bridge at some point.

Of course, the rumors are flying: Mom had Aliayah while in prison. They didn't stir until 11:00 yesterday which is why it was so late when they reported it. They party until late and don't get up until late. Not very sociable. Aliayah had a fever and was sick. They suspect the stepdad harmed her. They were too drunk to do a polygraph on last night. Mom is 36 weeks pregnant with twins and was drunk last night. No one knows if Aliayah was missing for longer, they hadn't seen her in a while.

I do know that if a child wandered off in that neighborhood, the dogs would have barked and someone would have noticed her. If she made it to the highway, someone could have taken her. People are expanding their searches, most saying that they are not looking at how far off a 3-year-old can wander, but where someone could take her. The family is calmly standing around the yard talking to people milling around. I think if she is anywhere in that neighborhood, she would have been found by now. Every inch has been searched. I also worry about the neighbors saying they were not sociable at all, makes me worry about isolation and abuse.

Welcome to Websleuths, Wenc!

I appreciate your local insight! Thank you for joining us!

That's very intuitive. I've read that people (when telling an elaborate tale, use markers (such as what you described above) by using times, dates, that they will easily remember.

3 years old (wonder if she's 3.5)?

I might be being too critical and I might be way too jaded but i don't like the way its the grandmother that is talking, the mother keeps sniffling yet I don't hear the common associated "sniffs" and the fact that she looks away from the camera when she says "We want her home"
JMO... sigh. Hope i'm wrong for how i'm thinking

If the child went out on her own, the door should have been open, it seems. Would she have closed and latched it behind her?

Also, many people tell a story from the end to the beginning, instead of the other way around. It is sometimes thought of as lying but mostly it's also a cultural thing. It can make the retelling very confusing to the listener unless you are used to it! There is a word for it but I can't think of it right now.

What has the weather been like in WV? I took notice the last description of her clothing says Dora pajama bottoms and a pink princess sweatshirt. Has it been that cool at night that you would put your child to bed in a sweatshirt?
I'm also confused as to if the sweatshirt was on over a pajama top....some articles say pajama bottoms while some say Dora pajamas with a sweatshirt....

In my experience, a lot of people speak in riddles. They don't even know they're doing it, they're not trying to, and pinning them down is like trying to fetch dropped soap in the shower. You can't pin them down.

It's not a sign of guilt, to me. It's a sign of someone who doesn't know how to speak clearly and give lots of information in a short period of time. It's a communication skill, imho.

Thanks for your opinion on her body language on the video. My rural internet connection won't let me view video. Was everything in the video on the print version?

I am thinking that it was Mum who checked at 6.30, when she was last seen

Trust me -- you're not alone in your thinking. I have a feeling how this is going to play out, but finding her is the key.

We're going on 30+ hours now...
