Speaking from experience here. Years ago we lived above a bar, not my first choice but one a divorced mother of 3 could afford. I woke up one morning, went to the bathroom and looked in on my kids, as I always did, every night before bed and every morning. My oldest daughter who was 12 was not in her bed at 5 a.m. Instant fear, even some 25 years later I still feel it in my gut. The first thing I did was check the apartment, behind every piece of furniture and in every closet. Then I called her father although he was not in their life much, I was hoping. When he said no I immediately hung up and called the police. After calling the police I then started on the friends list.
I thank God to this day that she had just "ran away" to one of her friends houses considering the alternative.

I can not imagine in my wildest dreams going 2 hours without calling the police and she was 12.

She does start by saying SHE's only 3. The operator then refers to her as a "him". There's def. an edited part out of there and the operator does say "is IT a male or female". And mom answers in the same format, "it's a girl". Operator then clarifies. I am highly suspicious, but this is one thing I can't fault her on, I would have probably responded. MOO

Also...wasn't it reported that the home had a crawl space. She is asked if she's searched the basement. I'm sure she's referring to the crawl space as the basement (no problem IMO), but generally crawlspaces are small and hard to get in to. You can't tell me at 8 months pregnant she was down in that crawl space. No way.

I agree with the first portion. However, I was in my crawl space repairing broken sewer lines in the middle of a nasty Colorado snow storm when I was due any day.

IMO, with the character of the men this woman has surrounded herself with, a prison guard isn't high on my list of suspects.

I probably shouldn't have laughed a little at this, but I did.. and I 100% agree with you.

Funny that. In this teensy weensy article is added: "Also, Aliayah's mother Lena Lunsford is currently in litigation against an officer at the Beckley Work Release Center. She claims she was sexually assaulted, harassed and abused during her time there in 2008. The case is still pending in Kanawha County Circuit Court."

Maybe Stacy Jacobson is just filling space in a very short article or maybe it is significant.

I'm trying to picture a prison guard peaking through the window of LL's house waiting for an opportune moment to kidnap Aliayah.

Has anyone seen what Aliayah's date of birth is...I can't find it in any of the articles. Wondering if at all possible Aliayah could be a product of this alleged sexual assault? I know I'm going out on a limb here.

BIG SHOUT OUT TO SHERIFF GISSY AND THE COMMUNITY IN ALL THEIR EFFORTS!

Sheriff Gissy didn't let his ego get in the way. He saw the need and responded in the best way. Unlike other cases we have seen where the locals didn't want outside help and didn't cooperate when they got it.

This community and all the searchers are the greatest! Can't say enough good things about them!

"We bring an expertise in crimes against children with experience on a national and international level and we are glad to do it," said Killeen. "We do it all the time."
Sheriff Michael Gissy added, "The resources that we have access to right now are immense. We felt we needed additional help and we sure requested it."
Hundreds of volunteers came from all over the country to help in the search for the little girl. Day and night for the past week volunteers have searched the rough terrain surrounding her home as well as the river that circles the area.
Businesses, churches and people have brought food, water, batteries, and whatever else has been needed in the effort.
Killeen praised the community saying people have been

If we are believing Mom always tells the truth......then he wouldn't be. She named the biodad in the 911 call.
And the name she gave was on the other side of the prison cell.

:noooo: you didn't say that biodad was :behindbar. Didn't you mean to say several people with that name are visiting the :behindbar. :floorlaugh:

If there was any chance the guard was the dad the lawsuit would have been settled. Any attorney would have gone that route already. Can you say "slam dunk"

Even w out the pending civil suit or what ever it is this women would be considered high risk to the chief. I am not surprised at all she hasnt been detained w her pending due date. Game on after that I would def bet!!

You would also think w all the stress the babies would be here by now!? If my daughter was missing I am also betting I would have already given birth due to being frannntic!! Or I would just die, absolutely die. all jmo
