Information sought about death of man whose body was found in Grant County

State Police are seeking information about the death of a man whose body was recovered from the Dolly Sods Wildness Area in Grant County.
The “deceased human body” of Ivan Dickason Perlis was located in the Grant County portion of Dolly Sods on Saturday by the Moorefield/Petersburg detachment of the WVSP, according to a WVSP press release.

I find it curious that LE found him in a "remote area" of a wilderness over 17,000 acres large- since it wasn't stated that a hiker or anyone discovered him... what led them there? Also since an autopsy was done, it seems they would say if it seemed to be an accident, from exposure, or self inflicted. Seems like they might suspect foul play?
