Just a few things I wanted to mention off the top of my head:

1. If he had been working, he obviously had access to money. How did he cash his checks? Does he have a checking or savings account somewhere?
2. He obviously had personal belongings (everyone, including homeless people and drifters have personal belongings)...where are they?
3. If he was sleeping in his car, was he staying at a campsite?
4. He HAD to have access to a computer and a phone. Where are they?
5. The escort who killed him must have his phone number. It's standard practice to screen clients by immediately calling the number back. It's not merely a safety practice, it also helps ensure the client isn't a time waster. So LE surely has a phone number for NF. Can't imagine this was a pay phone, since that would have been a red flag to the escort. If the number went to a landline, then it must have been a phone in a hotel room, yes?

Falls could have very simply used a disposable cell phone. It isn't uncommon for johns and escorts alike to use them, and they're untraceable iirc.

Given that Falls only has one confirmed victim as of now, and the fact that we don't know the identities of the women on the post it note, I don't think its safe to assume he has any set choice of victim. Also, given the fact that he had a shovel in the back of his car, I think it would be safe to assume Falls buried some of his victims. We also don't know how frequently he traveled, or when he started killing. Just to be safe I went as far back as 1990, considering Falls would have been about 21 at the time being, and most serial killers seem to start killing in their early to mid 20s.

The weird thing is, even the handcuffs could be explained away by the fact that he worked as a security guard. If he was a survivalist, whose goal was to go off grid, there's really nothing found in his vehicle that doesn't have a logical explanation. In truth, we can't even say for certain that his goal was to kill this escort. It's entirely possible he arrived with the goal of subduing and raping her, and things went awry. I'm not saying this is what happened... I'm just trying to point out that for LE to go from this incident to a nationwide search for other victims, there has to be more information available to them than what we are hearing.

As far as we know the only person speaking within the post to keep in touch with Falls after he was let go was the person speaking about Falls ripping him off last August. After that Falls "went off the grid" and from what it would appear, his own family may not have known where he was.

Sure, two is one and one is none in the survivalist world. But for his purposes, that seems like an odd part of the collection.

He probably was living off savings and he could have had decent savings from his previous security jobs.
I read that they found a different gun in his vehicle (not the one he was killed with.)
Was the Ruger the one he carried into Heather's place? Have they shown photos of the other gun from the car?

The truck could have referred to the Subaru Forester he was seen driving as well. It's more of a station wagon but I can see how someone could say that was a truck if just making an off the cuff facebook comment and not an official statement on the matter.
