Because unless BL's parents are lying, he's back in FL on Sept 1, which means he drove nearly nonstop (and speaks to state of mind).
Hello,
This is an interesting thing for me to think about that lines up with the thing that has drawn me to this case in the first place.
Thinking about Sept. 1st arrival date for the van at the house, where did that date come from? His parents? Maybe, but then we have to wonder at what point did the parents decide to stop cooperating with police?
Also, before diving into that speculation, I believe it may have been the sister who mentioned that she hasn't heard from Brian since Sept. 1st. His sister seems to not have a problem speaking out, and it sounds like she has been speaking with the police.
So as far as where the information came from about his arrival with the van on Sept. 1st, I don't think it would have come from his parents, since the police didn't try to reach out to the parents until after the missing person report. Sept. 11th or Sept. 12th. And at that time, according to the police, his parents referred them to a lawyer.
The police were sure they knew where he was this entire time, but how could they possible know. I think it is a really good question to also ask, when was the last time Brian was seen? From all accounts that have come forward, it would have been at the hotel checking out on August 24th.
Yes we have the information about a possible hitchhiker some days later, but that is still yet to be confirmed.
It seems like communication on the both of them with their families stopped around the same time with the last text sent to her mom on the Aug. 30th and his last communication with his sister on Sept. 1st.
There are some really big gaps in the timeline IMO especially with regard to actual communication and sightings of these two.
As far as driving non stop, assuming the start time was when her mom received the message on Aug. 30th do we know what time that message was sent? Also, do we know the arrival time of the van beyond what I would say is speculated to be Sept. 1st.
I just did Chicago to St. Petersburg Florida in 17 hours. grueling for sure. I've also done Tampa to San Diego in 44 hours. I like to drive and get where I am going, my state of mind is calm and peaceful for the last 20 years of my life
Thanks for reading.
