Something was up for sure. I can’t believe they would need it moved so badly that he would fly home . They were traveling across county it seems . And then oh I got to fly home to move stuff to storage. Very strange imo.

We haven't heard about that 6-day trip home in a while. At the time, it was said that they moved the stuff out of the storage unit to save money. As I noted back then, spending $200-ish on a flight and $500-ish on a hotel for Gabby had to cost more than two months of a storage unit (they planned to return in late October).

Oh dear. I was looking for images of the cargo bag for a fully different reason. But. Having a closer look at images of the bag, it does look like the bag I saw on the ksl chopper footage. On the other hand, I did see other gear casually draped over it at another part of same foootage. They wouldn’t do that with evidence. Idk

Does anyone see someone walking in the thermal imaging (lower right corner) @ timestamp 1:03 of this news segment — or have i officially gone mad with paranoia (sorry if this has already been posted).

I very much see someone walking? Could it just be an animal? Or do you see nothing?
Wow I see it too... I will upload a screenshot...I wonder why that was included? Who is that?

I'm trying to stay current but want to comment on two things...agree not survivalist but he might think he is. Is he a gamer?? long time gamers sometimes have a difficult time differentiating between real world and the 'gaming world' How often do we see violence blamed on gaming, same could be said for just plain reality.. the real world that I'm wondering if BL was prepared for at all. I'm sure when he is found/captured we'll hear things said about him that will point to how odd he may have been, JMO

Second thing, my 22 grandson and his 20 year old girlfriend lived with us for 15 months while he finished college. Both were in school full time and both worked 20 -25 hrs a week . My point is that they were on a different schedule than we were most of the time. We ate meals together depending on their schedule, but if not they cooked for themselves, bought their own food, cleaned their rooms (two bedrooms with a jack and jill bath), did their own laundry, had their own cars, etc. We got along fine and grew to love the girlfriend, a sweetheart, they were not hard to have live with us and rarely did we know if they were fighting but it was not dramatic. We got to know her parents and my husband and her father talked often. Fast forward two years, girlfriend graduated, they both now have good jobs, are engaged to be married in Mar of 22 and have bought a house together. My point is that I think BL was sheltered and maybe GP never felt comfortable living with his parents at all and they enabled this toxic relationship. Maybe they never bonded. Still I could never put another family through this. The parents of BL seem really cold and distant.

I see no evidence on his pinterest, his insta or any other social media that he's a gamber. He read a lot. He like science fiction. He's outside a lot. He knew a lot about native plants (from the preserve where they are looking but also from other local preserves) and collected spores and seeds and specimens to raise at home.

I think Brian was "sheltered" for a reason and he writes about that part of his journey on his insta.

I too see nothing odd about 20-somethings living with parents or grandparents. I have about 110 students right now (soon will be 250) and of that 110, only 5 live on their own, the rest live with parents or grandparents (and often with a spouse or SO). Several live in houses where a sibling also has an SO or spouse living. In my own neighborhood, in 3 houses that are quite close to me, all of the adult children have moved home (half of them did so before COVID, the other half after COVID).

Congrats to your grandson and best wishes for their wedding. I think it's great when a couple can find a way to co-habitate with a little structure, in those early days of learning to live together.

There's this!

"Schultz, who did not immediately respond to a request for comment, told the Chronicle she saw the van parked in the same area the next day, on Aug. 27—when she found it odd that the vehicle was there but not in a designated parking spot, and with no indications of anyone camping. The van was there for “several days and nights,” she said, but there were no “signs of actual life.”

The vehicle was still sitting there on Aug. 28, she said, but was gone by Aug. 29."

Gabby Petito Tipster Recalls Guy in Van ‘Acting Weird’ Near Camping Area Where Body Was Found

Thank you! If the vehicle was still there the 28th then IMO that was the day that Gabby died. I do NOT see him keeping the vehicle only 200 yards from her body for very long at all.

How could we be sure, one way or the other? I've combed over his social media and find no references to drugs. He does create a black light room/closet. Does that count?

Not sure why getting agitated in a restaurant makes anyone think he's taking drugs. My theory is still that he's very much a loner and may have a great deal of social anxiety (I believe he says he has anxiety problems in the bodycam video). That's sufficient. I've seen people who I know not to be using drugs behave in a very stressed out manner while traveling.

The Story with Martha MacCallum

Top story on her feed right now.
Why didn’t she ask if they saw Brian return from that weekend camping trip with his parents??? That’s probably when he escaped off to the wilderness or who knows where.

I understand. You have raised your children in a different time than we did hours. That's all I feel I should say since we have very different ideas.

As far as their jobs, Gabby had worked just recently at a new job saving for her trip. I haven't seen where Brian worked.

We all love the idea of a couple going out and traveling the country. Gabby was apparently ready. Her car, her money. As for Brian, seems to me he was depending on her. Her van, her life, her money.

And when he returns home in HER van, he is back to mom and dad's with them feeding him and paying his rent. Something wrong with that picture.

I am surprised that their first priority wasn't to save to get out from under his parents care.

In any case, i hope they find Brian soon.
We agree that we hope BL is found. How anyone feels about parental support of young people’s activities and lifestyles, I wanted to make the point that it’s not unusual for parents to provide a lot of it. It can result in highly successful results as well as disappointments.
I don’t think parental support of those two was instrumental in this tragedy as a matter of course. My guess is that BL lost his temper and what happened was not premeditated but happened in a rage, maybe even accidental, at least in part. Then he just left her like trash at the campsite is what it looks like to me and didn’t own up to whatever happened

maybe legally, it was best way to avoid murder conviction. But BL deserves this storm of public opinion the way he handlers all of this. He may well have decided to end his life given the publicity

“Do you believe this was textbook domestic violence?” Asked CBS12 News Reporter Stefany Valderrama.

“It’s really difficult to tell," answered Jennifer Rey, Program Services Director of Aid to Victims of Domestic Abuse, Inc.

What Rey does see in the police bodycam footage are signs Petito may have been a victim of domestic violence.

It’s very common for victims of domestic violence to be the ones who appear upset, overwhelmed, [and] maybe sometimes chaotic," Rey said. "Not really telling clear stories, because sometimes trauma impacts a person's ability to recant the information.

In the footage, Petito continually apologizes for the things she's done which have upset her fiance Brian Laundrie. Rey tells CBS12 News she also minimizes his behavior which is common among victims who want to avoid retaliation from abusive partners after law enforcement has left the scene.

In watching the footage, Rey also notes Laundrie's behavior when interacting with law enforcement.

"It's very typical for perpetrators of domestic violence to be very cool, calm, and collected," she told CBS12 News. "Which you seen him really maintain through the entire process."
Was Gabby Petito a victim of domestic violence?

My only thought JMO was if the rental of the storage unit was ending on a date during that timeframe, they had to either extend the rental contract or empty it out. And they didn’t have money to continue paying for it so it had to be emptied. MOO

So BL flies to FL to move their stuff into storage from Aug. 17 - Aug. 23,

Move GP's stuff or stuff belonging to both? This tells me BL's parents wanted GP or both of them out of the house...like after this trip, you guys need to find another place to live

If this report that they "went camping" during that time frame is true - they could have been setting up a spot for him to go. I really think this search in the reserve is utterly pointless.
Was it ever said where they went camping at?

Brian Laundrie was controlling, suffered ‘episodes,’ Gabby Petito’s friend says

Gabby Petito’s boyfriend, Brian Laundrie, who has also gone missing and is being sought by the FBI, suffered with jealousy and control issues and experienced “episodes” in which he would hear voices and not be able to sleep, Petito’s friend told the Daily Mail.

Rose Davis, 21, of Sarasota, described Laundrie as a controlling and manipulative boyfriend, in one incident stealing Petitio’s ID so she wouldn’t be able to go out to bars with her.

Petito had described the strange episodes to Davis, which at times forced Petito to sleep at her house.

“He’s got these jealousy issues and he struggles from what Gabby called these ‘episodes,’ where he would hear things and hear voices and wouldn’t sleep,” she told the outlet.

“Gabby had to stay at my house a bunch of times because she just needed a breather and didn’t want to go home to him.”
Now I wonder if he is in a psychiatric facility.

I didn't think she was an influencer, at least based on my review of her profile. She just looks like a woman who likes to post cute photos and give her feed a particular style. Most of her photos have under 100 likes (some have more, but still not "influencer" level IMO).

Not an influencer, but she lists herself as a "Digital Creator" and her links are to her online stores. I've heard sole-proprietors refer to Instagram as a "game changer," so I am still of the opinion that the quest for "clicks and eyeballs" can get intense. I'd be curious to know if the "exclusive" was given in exchange for a link to the page. It just seems odd for any story about this case to feature a link to a witnesses store. Again, maybe I'm out of touch with the modern world!

Brian Laundrie's neighbors speak out amid investigation

Neighbors live across the street from the Laundrie’s home since summer.

They didn’t think much about the van returning, thought both were there but admitted not knowing the family.

Husband saw BL and dad working on a new camper and doing work inside of it. “When they prepared for their trip” he saw them loading it up. NOT the van, the camper shell.

BL, his mom and dad were gone “for the weekend” about a week to a week and a half after BL returned alone in the van.

They told LE about the trip about a week ago (on a Saturday) after they realized someone was missing.

They thought it odd that a 23 year old would go on, what they assumed to be, a camping trip with his folks in such a small camper.

Where is the new camper now?

Sorry, but you didn't. It was reported today.

They were allegedly spotted at a store just across the border on 8/26. That could be what you're thinking of.

Yes, I actually did. I was told this by my daughter a earlier this week. She is on many forums that I am not and she read an account of some people who were dining in the restaurant. Like I said, I didn't bring it here because I had no source. Reported to LE and reported by news media are two entirely different things. I can assure you that I am not mistaken. Please do not tell me what I know and do not know. Thank you.
