This is my first post here. I signed up due to this case but am a long time reader.

If he showed up in an average car at a supermarket for example ( I am the UK so for example asda or tesco) wearing a mask and a hat, I am guessing u less you saw his hands with the tattoo you wouldn't recognise him. So he can hide in plain sight and not need to go I to the environment they are looking for him. What's to say he isn't literally living under everyone's noses?

I think he could maybe get away with hiding in plain sight in another state, somewhere up in New England, or New York area where it's so busy he could pass unnoticed, but I just think, even with a disguise or changing his identity, he'd be sussed in FL.

The media, the locals, social media (and even us here in the UK) are all over this story.

You would have to suspect that if BL and parents took this trip and parents had a cell phone and used it, the FBI would be able to narrow down a circled area of cell tower pings. One subjective thing that keeps stumping me is how smart is BL and now after this 3 day trip, how smart are the parents. What mistakes did they make if these are all facts.

If I was a parent of Brian taking him to an out of state drop off, I would leave my cell phones at home, purchase a few burner phones and dismantle the GPS (and any other tell-tale-devise) on my vehicle. MOO.

I’m still trying to figure out this new account given by the neighbors. I can’t find anywhere that states LE spoke with anyone on the 11th. I’m sure I’m overlooking it! Is it possible they didn’t actually speak with BL’s parents until late Sunday the 12th? ETA: I’m also looking at the media thread and don’t see an article before the 12th that claims he had retained an attorney and is refusing to talk.

I’m seeing posts about BL and his family going camping while he flew home and the theory that they were setting up a place for him to go. She was alive when he flew home which would mean we are suppose to believe BL told his parents that he was going back to kill her and they made plans then for what to do when he got back. This seems a little silly.

Not me, but that's my life history speaking. Pulling into a gorgeous new camping area, she'd want to be up front. It was her occupation, her work, to document their trips. Arriving at GT would be a perfect chance for that. Also, he had trained her to mollify him, so she would not miss that adventure unless he had already hurt her. I'm still of the opinion he did it on the 26th unless I see proof of the restaurant altercation. Other than my boyfriend has a photographic memory, sat up in the middle of the night and started "screaming" that he figured out who BL was. (shorthand for the post restaurant account)

So just waiting here with an open mind...dishing out my own opinion based on my own experiences camping, etc. The best time, full of expectations and wonder, picking your camping place.

Agree! We usually have our spot prearranged, but we’re all googly eyed when we pull in trying to find it, think about backing in, getting the lay of the land, etc.

The “smart” thing that the parents did was call an attorney and take his advice to keep quiet. As a result, no one has even seen BL on the news. LE cannot arrest BL for murder. And they are busy searching an enormous difficult preserve because Parents have reported BL missing and possibly in danger .

Smart in terms of criminal charges and trial. I don’t know about “smart” morally.

Camper used to transport Brian out of state, IMO

I think he is certainly out of state and most likely in an area that is very familiar to the family and to him, where there are other relatives or very close friends.

I'm beginning to think he is on the spectrum and needs some special handling, so there may be private healthcare facilities where he is safe and protected.

The parents "rescued" him after the Moab situation and flew him home from SLC. And they in essence rescued him when he drove the van home. Not sure why he went back, but rescuing him by shelterimg him seems to be the MO.

Camper trip - maybe met a trustee family friend halfway who drove him the rest of the way.

My guess is that he is near his old home region in Long Islamd, NY.

Coincidentally where the attorney is, too.

No, I haven’t heard any neighbors comment on seeing or not seeing if all three campers returned. Anyone?

I’m hoping that this isn’t new to LE news-just new to us. Considering when Gabby was reported missing they went door to door to talk to neighbors when they couldn’t talk to BL.
I also wonder if LE had any idea from the L family that they’d gone-did the lawyer communicate this or had they mentioned the trip to LE.
It seems like everyday more and more shady things come out about these people. How much more does it take to make questioning them official to put some fear into them? JMO

I'm not sure that the dates are all that important. The neighbors saw that GP's van returned. The neighbors saw that the Laundrie's purchased or brought home a camper shell. The neighbors saw BL and his father stocking and/or preparing the camper shell and then the truck/camper leaving the house for a few days. I do wonder if the neighbors ever saw BL again after this "camping trip." The neighbors said this all occurred prior to officers talking to them about GP being missing. Again, I'm not so sure the exact dates are all that important. What is important is that BL returned with BP's van, and then the Laundries purchasing the camper shell and hurrying off to some camping excursion or other trip prior to GP being reported as missing. IMO

How are the parents of BL behaving right now? Do they seem distressed? Bereaved? Why are they not with the searchers? Maybe because they know BL is ok and where he is.

Has anyone seen reports of what exactly GP did while BL flew home? Did she stay in a hotel, meet anyone?

She stayed in the Fairfield inn in SLC. With BL not watching over her, this was a missed opportunity for her to get out. I think he had her van keys though (or the whole van, not actually having flown home). MOO.

That’s tons of places. You could make it to TX in less than a day. It’s a 17.5 drive from there to San Antonio and about 4 more hours to the Mexico border.

Long Island NY is 20 hours. Friends and family there.
