This is a very confusing story to try to chase down. The different accounts are contradicting. I read the one above earlier.

Then there's this one.
"A manager at The Merry Piglets told CNN that she did see "an incident" at the restaurant and called the FBI on Wednesday. The manager declined to give CNN her name or describe what happened and said the restaurant did not have surveillance video of the incident."
No sign of Laundrie as search continues; woman says she saw incident involving Petito before death

The Merry Piglet has also confirmed the argument on their Instagram page. (I don't trust social media links.)

Possibly, the restaurant's staff was told not to speak about it, then when the story broke they were left scrambling for a response.

I think it's prudent they not speak and just release the statement.

Wasnt the reason she was in the hotel because he was back in Florida at that time? She admitted she didnt drive the van often so I assumed that is why she was staying in the hotel. MOO

but not sure Id spend the money for a weeks hotel stay .. Why blow about a $1000.... if I was on limited funds and a vanlifer and had my home in the van... I parked it somewhere at a park for the week and save my money... That van would be a dream to drive compared to other RV's.

I also find it amazing that more video hasn’t surfaced from around the family’s house and even near Carlton Reserve (Border Rd., S. Moon and others). Maybe LE has it and hasn’t been released but the amount of Wyze, Ring, Eufy, Nest and dozens of other cameras out there certainly makes me wonder. If I were a neighbor (or journalist watching the house) I would have setup a Wyze camera and just ran it continuous.

Obviously near the reserve it becomes more spacious but there are cameras all over my street.

Some of the above are obviously triggered by motion but regardless of your setup, there are false notifications from shadows, trees blowing, etc… I find it hard to believe there isn’t any more footage. Hoping LE has plenty of it to support not only if he’s at the reserve but also leading up to that day.

Brian L is a Munchkin who can't survive without family money and support. Sooner or later there will be an IT slip and a repeated WIFI port will be revealed whether it be in Toronto or Mexico city or Brit Honduras. Plus the family will have to get money to him in some manner.

Long term it is likely he 'll get nailed to the cross. He ain't that smart and he has no usable basic skills like an electrical ticket or a joinery apprenticeship to allow him to work under the radar.

I believe that the 1st memorial was placed when the area was still closed off from the general public. So I tend to think it was from someone authorized to be in that area at the time of the recovery.

That makes sense, and someone posted that they heard on broadcast news it was investigators.

It doesn't look like it was Brian, in any case.

I've kind of lost track...is this search area near where he supposedly entered, mustang parking, etc, or is this far away in adjacent parks?

A 22 year old woman might not feel safe living alone in a van for a week. MOO but I don't think it's been publicly confirmed that BL did go home that week, but again the FBI knows if he was on a plane.

Do we know where the parents and the caravan of unmarked cars went? Did any media helicopters follow?
Is it a personal outing that has to be supervised? Are they even allowed this?
Is it an escort to the station for questionning?
Are they going to make an identification?
Are they taking them to their son?

Surely, LE has video of his vehicle traveling to this area.

Did LE find "something" in the search at the parents home to convince them?

Would LE initiate such an extensive search based on word of mouth of the parents, alone?

This family has protected their son from the beginning, so I can't fathom law enforcement taking their word for anything.

There's just got to be something more they are going on (whether or not it winds up being correct).

Considering the consequences to the health of your business by upsetting the army of social media assassins just waiting to trash someone's Yelp page I think it's reasonable for companies to not project their information into the general public. As long as they reported it to LE they did the right thing.

I saw a news interview last night, where a neighbor said they had rented out the house previously, and had not been in it that long.

If I were trying to evade LE by leaving my home state or country, probably the first thing I'd do is shave my facial hair, to try to alter my appearance. There's not much a bald guy can do, especially a bald guy of a certain height and build, but people wouldn't find him so instantly recognizable without the facial hair. He may not have attracted the attention of that flight attendant, without it. She even mentioned how the shape of his moustache matched all the photos she'd seen of him.

Me, too. I don’t think they have any viable fake IDs, and I do not think BL flew anywhere. I just don’t think he is or was all that far away.
