I am interested in knowing why GP’s mom and step-dad say they can’t talk about the “no service” text in the 48 Hours episode. I wonder whether they might have already learned GP’s approximate time of death and would therefore have certainty that GP did not write that text. It would seem compassionate for the ME to share some details privately with them. It might also explain the arrest warrant wording. Hmmm…

And if GP didn't write the text, the only other person that could would be Brian, given phone locking.

I’m scratching my head over this. Why hasn’t anyone come out to speak about Brian? We always have childhood friends come forward or former boyfriends/girlfriends…. Previous neighbors, former coworkers or employers. Sometimes to say I never saw this kind of behavior, this is not the guy I knew or oh yeah he was the loner and weirdo in school. Drew dark and violent sketches, totally not shocked by this. None of this has come out, just crickets. Baffles me. IMO

I think his only friend was Gabby. Either that, or LE has interviewed people and asked them to keep quiet. I do think that his sister is cooperating, but she has been kept in the dark since he returned to Fla. She is at least 9 years older than the golden boy and probably has interesting stories to tell about the family dynamics...... jmo

I don’t know how long the power outages were. I’m sure you could find that info through whatever power company services that area. I’m not sure what the significance is of why she called her father for pizza other than dating for the timeline. I have a daughter in an unhappy marriage, cheating husband, two small kids, she still is trying to make it work. I know when she reaches out to me for things like this, something she could easily do herself, it’s because she’s having a bad day and just wants a little support or pick me up. I relate this to Gabby because they were not happy and in a good place.

JS said that the van had been parked in an unauthorized place for several days, and she was surprised the park service had let that occur. Is this another link in the series of events leading to his having the seclusion to IMO kill her and carry/drag her body around?

MOO: From our recent experience, van/camping across the country, these camping sites aren't nearly as picky about vans and tent campers, often quite lenient and tent friendly. They get way more fussy over RVs. I have not been to this specific campground, so this it may be different, I put that forward as insight from our general experience with this.

With this body cam footage still referenced often in the media, I can't begin to state how loathe I am to watch BL in the replays. It's his body language that just horrifies me.

Now, with being respectful to our rules, I won't go into my personal experiences with DV/emotional abuse, but that video and BL's behavior in it are triggering for a number of reasons.

I did find this article that mentions that the dispatcher from Moab that took the call regarding BL slapping GP may be in some "big hot water" for not communicating that information to LE who responded to the scene. I also found it interesting that in this article, they specified that that call was made through the non-emergency line and not 911.

Notice his continual use of a "pushing away" gesture. Its as if he's repetitively opting out of the situation, distancing himself from being the cause, distancing himself from being in any way responsible. Turn off the sound and look for those gestures. At one point, he covers his one hand with the other as if to "hide" the part of his body responsible for her utter sorrow - the hand that slapped. He's afraid he's been caught, so he's pouring on the charm, you know, good old boy stuff - "She's crazy". Wink wink nudge nudge...

I'm confused as to when Gabby and Brian started dating. I've heard not until after high school, but now I'm reading posts here saying they started dating in high school.

Yes, I thought Gabbys family said they knew each other in high school, but did not reunite until a couple of years later and had been together for two years, and engaged for about a year? Imo

I believe this journey they were on consumed them! It’s possible Brian wanted to go home. When the blog became more important than enjoying themselves the tensions mounted. I do think they were low on money! This is just heartbreaking!

The fact GP is dead, BL is the POI and missing, is likely a good indication that he did indeed "lash out".

My small independent city does this for major events (more for weekend festivals and "thank yous" after major events like a major accident or some sort of criminal activity that wraps up quickly) as we don't get a lot manhunts around here that go on for days/weeks.



The other day, JB or BE tweeted a statement from LE that the cost is really just some extra overtime and wasn't an excessive cost.



But I would like to think that the merchant who sold them said camper would come forward (and maybe he has come forward to LE but not made it public).

Or maybe not relevant to the timeline.

Was BL in regular high school? Private? Cyber? Was his childhood in the country? City? Some people live very sheltered lives and never have any friends but their relatives. We don’t even have a graduation photo or date? Don’t get me wrong but he seems like he never grew up. Living off mom and dad with his girlfriend, taking off whenever he pleased, a job at Publix? How long? Full time? Saved his money for trips? No real responsibility. Who paid for mustang? Her dad got the van lease. Makes me wonder about the Peter Pan syndrome. Never grow up snd entitlement

And driving an hour for place that offers great vegetarian food is exactly something can lifers would do?

I'm not saying others wouldn't do it, I'm saying that I don't think HE would. and that's just my opinion. Also, they were in an undesignated camping spot, supposedly witnessed parking there on the 26th and they left on the 27th to drive an hour out to get commercialism restaurant food and then come back and park in the exact same undesignated spot? It just doesn't work for me. So, like I said, if there's proof, then I'd be like, "well, wow. I guess they did do it. that's crazy." but without proof, it's a piece of the puzzle that's hard to make fit.

I was under the impression the interview with NS aired on 48 hrs was before they found her body because I thought I heard them say they were still searching for her or made some comments along those lines. IIRC.

I think we're talking about two different things. GP is documented to have been very much alive after BL returned from the mysterious trip that occurred while she was staying in a hotel in Salt Lake City. The trip occurred before they went on to Grand Teton.

curious, lets just say he does take her stuff and place into storage, and feeds the mom and dad a line or two of a breakup... but he also removes something from the storage ( wonder if that goes back with him ).. it would make sense. I believe they were still selling on line products , I don't think they would mail them from the camp area.

There may not be any former girlfriends. They have reportedly been dating since high school. Quite possible she was his first girlfriend or first serious girlfriend.

I don’t think dating since highschool is accurate.
They knew each other in high school according to GPs mom and then reconnected and started dating. I know someone said they were off and on in highschool.

Not necessarily. *If* and please note it's *if* he has a condition that requires regulation, it might not have manifested until his late teens / early 20's. It is my amateur understanding that this would be consistent with certain conditions. If accurate, some folks wouldn't have experienced what GP allegedly did. Further, it isn't uncommon for friends of offenders to state they are shocked by allegations, and that he is the "nicest guy".

I have looked at this and wasn't sure what was off to me. Today I realized it's the curve of the eyebrows. BL eyebrows distinctively curve downward. The guy in the picture has straighter brows. MOO

My theory is that he is quite 'nerdy' and she was probably his first/only real relationship.

You generally see the 'scorned exes' come out first, otherwise.
