Dog the Bounty Hunter claims Brian Laundrie could be a 'serial killer, not just a killer of Gabby' | Daily Mail Online

Dog the Bounty Hunter claimed Brian Laundrie could be a 'serial killer' because of his 'dark' choice of literature which is '10 times worse than 'Dungeon and Dragons.'

Dog, who was convicted of murder back in 1976, speculated that the sole person of interest in the homicide of Gabby Petito could have killed in the past, saying he is 'not just a killer of Gabby'.

The 68-year-old reality TV star, real name Duane Chapman, told The Sun people don't just become killers 'overnight' as he continues to embark on his own search for the 23-year-old fugitive.

'I'm thinking more and more about him being maybe a serial killer — not just a killer of Gabby. The books he reads are unbelievable,' he said.

Dog pointed to the 'serial killer books' Laundrie was reading as a sign of his 'demonic past.'

'A couple of the books that he's been reading are 10 times worse than 'Dungeon and Dragons',' he said.

'This kid, Brian, has taken those books obviously to heart. And this is what happens when your kid is looking at those kinds of things.

'He built himself to be that by looking at that kind of, let's say the dark side stuff. There are pictures of demons all over it.'

He added: 'I hope the jury that sentences him doesn't get to see what he's like.'

Dog, who was sentenced to five years in prison in 1976 for the botched drug deal where his accomplice shot a man dead, said killers are 'made'.

'He just overnight just didn't become a killer. A killer is made, and he is built to be or she, a killer,' he said.

Whilst we were all on the naughty step, peeking through the keyhole, I put together a list of BL sightings as suggested by @imstilla.grandma and shared them directly. Hopefully these can be added to a map soon :)
Wow. I just see. Impressive. Thank you so much. You are so very appreciated to take this initiative.

Has Chris Cuomo's statement about the FBI been discussed and verified? For anyone who watched his program about the supposed campsite and then the next night it not checking out, he said, both times, without citing sources that the FBI was told on the 13th that Brian was missing even though NPPD wasn't informed until the 17th. I cannot see this being accurate in any way, shape, or form. Does anyone have further information on that? Thank you. MOO

this tweet refers to that earlier report by cuomo regarding the date the laundries claimed BL was reported missing...

I guess I must have missed discussion of this, but it strikes me as interesting:

Excerpt and BBM:

Jim Schmidt, who joined the search for Ms Petito in Wyoming, shared new details of the location in the Bridger-Teton National Forest where she her [sic] remains found.

He said there were clear signs a tent had been pitched and a fire lit beside the makeshift grave where her remains were located.

I know that he believes that, and maybe he is right, but it would have been a really dumb place to pitch a tent........5 minute walk to the van which was hastily parked off the road and not on a numbered site. jmo And a fire to boot, just begging to get noticed by a ranger.

So, if BL suddenly emerges from that Reserve it would mean his parents could be in the clear of lying to authorities, as well as off the hook for over a million dollars in search charges, right? IMO, I think this might be how this thing resolves...

Not that I think he's been there the entire time, mind you. But, at some point, I think BL will posture to protect his mom and dad. His physical state will tell the a great deal when he's caught.

JMO
Not necessarily. When there was activity there earlier in the week after it being quiet I pondered whether he had traveled to it to "cover" his parents after learning of the serious exposure they may have. MOO

“The relationship has definitely shifted” - too bad he did not offer more color here.

It would seem they would have been most eager to help in the days before and right after he was reported missing if you only look through the Brian filter. JMO

I've listened to the first part three times.

The words "no, other than his car."

They sure have put a lot of faith in the word of the Laundries. MOO.

IMO, MOO, JMO, etc... I'm starting to take what the NPPD spokesman says with a little tiny grain of salt. First, they are not the lead agency. Second, he is the one who assured us CL would never be asked to help search the day before he was asked to help search. Finally, NPPD is the agency that was apparently surveiling BL when he disappeared and they might be a little defensive?

I don't think he is purposely putting out false info. I just think maybe the FBI is not sharing all they know with NPPD.

Or maybe I'm just a hopeless optimist that the FBI has compelling evidence that BL will be found at the reserve.

I wonder if they would actually say (or know) "Oh yes, the FBI have seen someone who they believe is BL on reserve trailcams a few times".

I have read in the past that the FBI is not keen on sharing information, even with other LE departments. Due to potential leaks. It has been a matter of angst in some investigations.
That when the FBI run an investigation, they run it their way, and their way only.

imo

I was wondering if there are pictures of site. I'm familiar with the cross, but I'd like to see the whole area.

The serial killer thing is nonsense. He's right in the sense that he probably didn't become a killer overnight, but he would have worked up to it via prior acts of aggression.

Not other murders.

o_O:confused: What?!!!! serial killer because of the books he reads....er ok then .

Hi Alethea, why would they not state that it was her card specifically though?

Again, it just seems that some are able to post things as fact in here (when it's simply assumption) yet if others do the same, they're shot down.

MOO

The indictment itself lists the last 4 digits of the accounts that were accessed. That identified the accounts without specifically naming the holder. Gabby's family's attorney confirmed that they were her accounts and he used her card. Since the account numbers were listed in the indictment, I think we can be confident her family is correct. They would know the last 4 digits of her account.
