There was some discussion about BL being a fan of Cody Lundin this weekend. Maybe BL made his way out to Arizona and took Cody's latest course - looks like it just finished -- :D Log In or Sign Up to View (and yes, I do follow Cody Lundin on FB, but hadn't seen his posts for a long time). Cody Lundin surviving in the Carlton Reserve While Evading the FBI might make an interesting (and relevant) show. (just a little Monday morning levity with ongoing hope that BL will be found and GP's family will have some answers and some peace)

And if they didn’t get them, what is heavens name were they calling 911 about???

46 calls in all. TWO on 9/10/2021

Brian Laundrie manhunt: Dozens of police calls to Florida home after Gabby Petito was last seen | Fox News

i think that’s a question for BL, he might know how to keep a grown adult from leaving.

IMO all anyone would expect the Ls to do would be to show the same degree of concern for their future daughter-in -law that they showed for their son. And some honesty. How about for starters, during the two 911 calls on 9/10/21 saying, our Gabby didn’t return from Wyoming in HER van and we are worried about her…?

edit: and then their son could have told them where the last place he parked the van was and voila! LE would have had her 18 days sooner and maybe, just maybe, the forensics would have been even better.
Great post.
For as long as it took for LE to find Gabby, even with the decomp. -- the damage had to be significant for the coroner to rule it a homicide.
There was obviously a reason BL didn't want to say where she was or even where they were last parked at.
MOO

The audacity of these people. First they refused to respond to the Petito/Schmidt families when they reached out thinking BOTH GP and BL were missing, then they refused to cooperate with police, then they asked for assistance from the police when BL went “missing”, and now they refuse to acknowledge the death of their daughter-in-law to be and remove the sign in their/used to be her yard as if they want to forget she ever existed, let alone lived there.
I don’t understand them. The only thing I can think is they blame GP for putting them in the position that they’re in. It is so sad.
MOO
Agreed.
It is a tragedy.
Where is the respect for Gabby ?
Engaged to their son and going to be their daughter-in-law.
Imo.

Surely if BL has taken a course during his disappearance, the FBI will know. MOO

Thanks for including this.
LE have now said officially that something is wrong with the parents' story.

And how sad it is for a caring person to have set up a memorial sign and photo of Gabby in her honor.
A kind and sweet gesture.
And BL's parents take it down ?
It was a beautiful picture and to remove it was disrespectful to Gabby's memory.
She was going to be their future daughter-in-law.
MOO.

Gabby Petito: Brian Laundie's parents' story has a lot of 'oddness'

"We've said from the beginning there's a lot of oddness here, a lot of things that just didn't make sense," North Port Police spokesperson Josh Taylor said.

"I mean your son walks out there, now they're saying on a Monday, you know, to report that on a Friday, and then be confused on what day that was. I mean there are a lot of things that are odd there."

Laundrie's parents changed their story about what day Laundrie left their home, admitting that he vanished a day earlier than they previously told police.

From my link above:

The couple also refused to answer questions which included: 'Do you know where Brian's passport is?', 'Do you have anything to say about Gabby?', and 'A lot of the neighbors think you know more than you're saying?'

At one stage, Christopher said: "Just let me do it."

Sounds like he is talking to his wife about removing the baskets.

(Disrespectful laundry baskets)

Thank you - I had posted that before I got to your post - appreciate you responding!

Re: GP's stuff

The quote from the local police spokesperson in Gabby's family haven't received her remains & her 'stuff is in Brian's home'

says he/she was “unaware of any items of hers from inside the home”

That doesn't necessarily mean there were no items inside the home. It could mean (and likely does) that the only items local LE had of GP's at the time came from the van. If the FBI has made a statement about what they saw in the home when they did their extensive search I'm unaware of it. So I don't think we should be assuming all GP's property is gone from the home. Maybe it is. But the police quote doesn't really say that. And the quote from NP was quite awhile ago, maybe about 2 weeks?

I'm also not sure what sorts of property would have ever been there beyond clothes and jewelry. Apparently she's always lived in someone else's already-established home so she wouldn't have things like kitchen stuff or furniture.

Their trip was to span several seasons so she'd need to take different clothes with her whether we've seen them in the van or not. And didn't she sell her clothes online?

Where did you read that he threw away his phone?

The FBI has taken BL’s cellphone as part of its manhunt for BL — but it’s unclear where Gabby’s phone is. The FBI executed a search warrant at his parents’ home and returned for DNA evidence — and have taken BL’s phone.

The family attorney, Steven Bertolino, confirmed last week that BL fled the home without his wallet and phone.

IIRC the police had his "new" phone, not the old one. But I could be mistaken.

They both had hiking boots but I've only ever seen them in one image.
How many skateboards did he take on the trip? Didn't someone say he gave away one of the skateboards? IMO Why would a person take skateboards in a van with such limited space. Bizarre priorities. Why not take a hacky sack instead if he was cooperating in the downsize?

IMO.

Hmmm. That's why a lot of K-9 officers prefer shoes as a scent sample, as I mentioned in a previous thread.
The odor is usually stronger (less, if any, washings or inside cleanings) and the person's shoe is less likely to be confused or switched with someone else's.

true
I’m not sure what articles of clothing. They were given it was just a thought!
