Florida fugitive Brian Laundrie's attorney has refuted a report that his client purchased a cellphone from an AT&T store in his hometown of North Port the day his parents claimed to have last seen him, Fox News has learned.

TMZ reported that Laundrie was spotted "with an older woman" inside one of the cellphone stores in North Port, Florida, where he was living with his parents and his fiancée, Gabby Petito, on Sept. 14. Laundrie’s parents told authorities three days later that he left for the nearby T. Mabry Carlton Reserve on Sept. 14, but had not come home.

It could also have been ruled a homicide with clues other than her injuries. For example, if she was at all buried or hidden/moved around after death that could cause a coroner to conclude her death was caused by another.

We are missing so many of the details. Some sleuthers claim channel 5 helo saw something like a body but turned away. If correct she was not too covered. Which makes me think he was not hiding the body but in panic and mental trauma ran from the scene as quickly as possible.

A punch can be enough to kill. Many people die daily from a smack landed in the wrong place, sadly.

This has just prompted a thought. I wonder if Brian didn't want Gabby seeing any of her friends or was it just this one in particular.

I personally have to take this friend's report in this matter with a grain of salt because she is not exactly an unbiased source on the conflict between BL and herself. If some other friends had come forward to say that BL was controlling and kept GP from friends, I would take it more seriously. For now, I file this report in my "maybe" pile.

An accidental death is a death: (1) resulting directly from bodily injuries, independent of all other causes, which were received solely by violent, external and accidental means; and (2) occurring within 3 months after the day on which the injuries were received.

Death by homicide is not accidental if it resulted from an assault or other gross provocation initiated by the deceased.

If there was action by the decedent that might be considered a provocation, the controlling factor is whether the deceased could have reasonably expected that the incident would result in death. Thus, even where an individual is an aggressor, if he/she could not reasonably anticipate bodily injury resulting in death at the hands of another, the death is accidental.

Speaking only for myself and I think for many others, Gabby wasn’t lying intentionally. She was confused, very upset to the point of hysteria at times, and very afraid of something. Many experts have said that it is domestic violence in their opinion so she had reason to be afraid. I would guess intimidated as well by being questioned by four big policeman who were standing over her. As kind as they might have been, we have to remember she’s only 22.

I agree with this and IMO BL had the van "stashed" close by to where he was dropped of by the hitchhiker alibi. I think he reached the van by foot after he said let me out after the "Jackson" part of conversation with TIKTOK couple.

I think the van remained in the same place it was when Bethunes videoed it. He got dropped off at the end of the road near the highway and walked back to the van, even though the girl who gave him a ride offered to take him to his van. Sure didn't know what he would find and did not want her to see it. He may have thought the police would be there waiting for him because someone had found deceased Gabby. jmo
