I'm just pointing out the fact that who hit whom first or last or in the middle makes no difference in the state of Utah. The police made a mistake here, it happens, but by law, GP is not the one who should have been threatened with arrest and imprisonment. That's all, just stating the facts.

We don't know who hit who first, and neither do the witnesses. GP was threatened with arrest because the only story the police got from her, Brian, and the witness on the scene, was her hitting him. Given those circumstances, I'm not sure what option the police had.

None of us knows what happened. We can speculate that she wasn't telling the truth, and the police should have been trained in dv... but it also could have been the truth. We don't know.

You can feel like the police handled it right or erred... but that's speculation.

I'm concerned solely with facts.

Nothing will make them break, IMO. Because I think they know where he is, that he has a lot of cash, and that will continue for months if not years. Actually a good outcome for them, he is not underfoot acting strange, he doesn't have to work or come up with a profession. JMO
Everybody has a breaking point, and everybody has a hook. It might take some time to find the Laundries', but they do have one. I believe the Laundries think this is going to blow over and people are going to get tired and eventually leave them alone.

Here is the longest Rose interview I have seen. But, of course I realized she might have only heard one side...

Brian Laundrie is 'well equipped' to survive MONTHS in the 25,000-acre nature reserve | Daily Mail Online

I also think that Brian's state of mind, is relevant in finding him. Wish there was a true professional profiler that would take the time to review everything that has come out so far. .....Not just look at clips of videos and make all sorts of assumptions. (I am sure FBI is not releasing theirs).

If I was being triggered by this case I could not be following it. I am trying to keep my bias out of it. Justice should not have a bias IMO.
Thank you! Unfortunately, some cases can hit a bit too close to home for some. They provide us with some great insight though.

THIS deserves a sleuth award.
Hold the award, lol. I'm still searching for other videos from local news stations that may have been taken during that same time period but at different times to help narrow that window down even further.

@Chicago54, you referenced a 4 to 5-hour search, where did you get the time frame? It just occurred to me that not only would 4 hours not really make it into that window, WeatherUnderground also recorded heavy rain at 6:55 and rain at 7:15, which makes it seem like an even less likely time period for him to search and making an even smaller window.

I'm also leaving out the police report which draws the opposite conclusion you do... because I'm strictly clarifying there were two witnesses, and both had opposite stories. Both are relevant, and both carry the same weight, factually.
Well, not really. The 911 caller revealed the beginning of the DV, when BL initiated slapping and hitting Gabby. (He outweighed her by about 50 lbs, IMO). "Chris" the other witness, described Gabby trying to get into her van while a man was trying to hijack it. Chris described the man, BL, trying to steal her phone, and closing the door so she couldn't get into her van, and Gabby's intense effort to get into her van to stop the carjacking.

Of course Chris didn't know that the van was hers, and that it was being hijacked. It doesn't matter if the van had started to move or not, the lawful owner of that vehicle was being locked out by someone who had no legal right to it. Then BL broke the speed limit by 3X, which if the cops were on the ball would have cost him a lot of money. And the reckless driving and evading the law could have meant a felony jail sentence.

So, no, both witnesses did not see nor describe opposite things. One described the beginning of an assault of a man on a woman, and the second witness described a woman trying to prevent a carjacking by that same man. Chris just didn't realize what was going on, while the 911 caller clearly saw it, a man beating on a woman. IMO

Im wondering because, someone please correct me if Im wrong, no one has seen a picture or video of BL since the Moab incident. If he took money from an ATM (of which most have cameras), if there is video of him at the Benton, IL gas station stop, if there is video from the AT&T store, if there is surveillance video from the Fort DeSoto Campground, does any of it show markings on BL that could possibly be attributed to another physical altercation between he and GP after Moab. Newer scratches, bruising, whatever. Has any of those pics or videos yet been released? I dont recall seeing any,
Some threads back there were pics posted that Cassie had taken T DeSoto and I saw what appeared to be bruising and abrasions on his arm. I posted a close u

I posted an enhanced pic of his arm in a pic taken by Cassie at DeSoto that appeared to show abrasions and bruises .

Are the FBI in Wyoming looking for BL? I wonder if he went back to the campground and committed suicide.

I don't know about the FBI, but I saw a drone video of Spread Creek posted somewhere the other day that had been made to show the distance between the van location and where the body was found, so I assume there are at least people in the area looking around. MOO

I think the FBI is increasingly looking at the Laundries' (i.e., Chris and Roberta's) potential involvement. While there are few, if any, updates to the search recently, there were two atypical events regarding the family:

1. The fact that Chris was asked to help search for his son at the reserve is obviously strange. As others have said, it's possible they were more interested in reading his body language than his actual assistance.

2. Chris and Roberta broke from character and cleaned laundry baskets and a sign off of their yard, in full view of the media. I don't think it's important to look so much at the reason they exited the house as it is that they left the house at all. To me, this could be a sign that law enforcement is being less cooperative with them, so they were forced out of their house to address the issue themselves.

Besides what law enforcement has done, we know there is reason for them to be suspicious. Just some of the questions:
  • Why did Brian return home on August 17 to clean out a storage unit? The location of the storage unit, if it exists, has not been determined.
  • Why did Brian buy a new phone on September 4?
  • Why did the family go camping on September 6?
  • Why did the family wait several days to report their son missing?
  • Why did the family return his car if they thought he was missing in the Carlton Reserve?
  • Why did the timeline of his disappearance change after the fact (was it because they knew they would be caught in a lie?)?
There are reasonable answers to all of these questions and the FBI certainly knows facts of the timeline that we do not. But while reasonable answers may address all of these questions, when taken in their aggregate, a pattern of behavior starts to emerge, and I think the less "reasonable" these individual explanations become.

The police recently released a statement alleging there is no physical evidence linking Brian to any location. If they're not increasingly looking at the family, where are they looking?
BBM
This is just my personal opinion, but, I dont think Chris was asked to help search for his son.

I feel he was asked to accompany members of law enforcement into the Reserve to just to show them the trails and places they had hiked and Brian was known to frequent.

Re: 911 calls
Right now , in the search for finding BL, I am more puzzled by the 911 calls and LE response to the L home starting on the 10th. The 10th was before the missing person report was filed, before the media and protestors were camping out front, before laundry baskets and flowers were defiling their precious lawn, before there were bullhorns, before Dog was at the door-so why were there 2 calls on the 10th and subsequently, 4 on the 11th???

Iirc on the 10th GP’s family started reaching out to the family of the man that their daughter loved. And that is when I think the *^%# hit the fan. I think that is when the Ls turned away from their phones and said to BL, (something along the lines of…) “wait a minute, G isn’t home after a fight like you said…, where the heck is she?” And having lived with this young troubled couple for quite a bit, and knowing what they had seen and heard, these parents had an Anthony lightbulb moment akin to opening a car truck, and an argument ensued.

And IMO the argument must have pretty bad. I don’t know about most of you, but it usually takes a lot to punch those numbers. The last time my family called 911, I was having a heart attack. So I figure tensions and fear and anger were at an all time high when 911 started to be punched from the Laundry home. I wonder if LE laid eyes on BL during ANY of their responses on the 10th or 11th? My guess isBL skedaddled after a screaming match with C and R ( and forget the new phone). IMO, they didn’t report him missing cuz they thought he’d be back.
then they called SB, and the “stories” began.

I hope Fox has made another FOIA request to get those 911 reports in full. The fact that they are so redacted speaks to me. If that info did not have anything to do with GP, and be important to future legal proceedings, I don’t believe they would be redacted at all.

Moo moo moo
There has been a mention of Gabby's father approaching the Laundries' on the 10th.
Speaking only for myself and I think for many others, Gabby wasn’t lying intentionally. She was confused, very upset to the point of hysteria at times, and very afraid of something. Many experts have said that it is domestic violence in their opinion so she had reason to be afraid. I would guess intimidated as well by being questioned by four big policeman who were standing over her. As kind as they might have been, we have to remember she’s only 22.
I think she was afraid to tell them he hit her MOO

It's not hallowed ground, these are not hallowed objects. These items are a protest and I find it gross to treat Gabby's memory this way.

I utterly, totally disagree with the Laundrie family's treatment of the Petito family but I don't support the protestor's behavior in going up on to the Laundry's property and expecting things left behind to be kept there forever.
Well said. Amen. jmo

Florida fugitive Brian Laundrie's attorney has refuted a report that his client purchased a cellphone from an AT&T store in his hometown of North Port the day his parents claimed to have last seen him, Fox News has learned.

TMZ reported that Laundrie was spotted "with an older woman" inside one of the cellphone stores in North Port, Florida, where he was living with his parents and his fiancée, Gabby Petito, on Sept. 14. Laundrie’s parents told authorities three days later that he left for the nearby T. Mabry Carlton Reserve on Sept. 14, but had not come home.

But the Laundrie family's attorney, Steven Bertolio, confirmed Thursday that "a phone was purchased on September 4, 2021 and Brian opened an account with AT&T for that phone."

Great work! Hard job.
Here’s a link for SBs claim that CL searched for BL for 4-5 hrs on the 13th
https://mobile.twitter.com/BabyLyssaC/status/1445901927833686020/photo/1

There are subsequent statements from him explaining they searched 24-48 hrs AFTER BL took off, but he still claims the search was “in the dark “ on the 13th.

Well of course a cause of death exists, or she wouldn't be dead. When her body was found they said there was no apparent cause of death. But they ruled it a homicide at that time.

But……. How do They rule it a homicide if there is no apparent cause of death?

Been doing more research, I was looking into whether you legally have to report a dead body as I know some people believe BL may have come across GP’s body. From what I’ve found so far it’s not illegal but I can’t find the relevant information for Wyoming. I was questioning it because if he did happen upon GP’s body and didn’t report it could they arrest him on that? Does anyone know if it is illegal to not report a body in Wyoming?
