I’m just going to keep saying this for those suggesting Gabby was not blameless and contributed to what happened.
We have this myth of the perfect victim - if they aren’t totally angelic and well behaved then they are no longer seen as the victim. But when one person has all the power, the person without power cannot be held responsible in any way for what happens since they have no choice in any of it.
There is nothing she did that that made someone wrap their hands around her throat and squeeze until her life was gone. Not the scratches on his face, not her hitting him, none of it. To say otherwise is the same as saying a rape victim is partially responsible because they were drunk.
Just no. The perpetrator is 100% responsible, always.

It's a very violent and brutal way to kill someone.

Those last 2 mins of life of her life were taken by someone she trusted and loved - when fully proven- more than likely BL (moo).

No doubt, it was a "one sided" love. From what I deduced. But cursory exploration of BL's social interactions prior to them dating will tell you he wasn't much until he met her.

I believe she was the source of his validation. Without her - he was zero and he knew that. (moo)

In wake of the coroner's findings it is so tragically sad to realize that one of the last concluding thoughts for anyone leaving life would be to know that the one person they trusted most intimately had such little regard for the love professed.

I have very little sympathy for BL if any.

It's my opinion you can fake emotions - grief - love - tears - we don't know if BL felt anything truly real even for Gabby.

I don't care what SB said about how distraught he was when he walked out the door...

He's not qualified to talk about anyone emotions. When he himself has displayed nothing but reactive anger in interviews, volatility and somewhat of a bully. Seems his emotional EQ is quite low (moo)

None of us will know if BL had any underlying personality disorders. He was not professionally diagnosed. Perhaps his parents knows, who knows.

But I stand firm in my own opinion:

She was his possession. That's not love.

She paid the price for that.

I want to know what story their son told them about Gabby and why they refused to respond to her family's inquiries. jmo As for the jackals at their door, they are just doing what jackals do. They have no real interest in the case except that they like the cameras and attention.
i’m curious about that too. Per the many interviews SB has given, I’ve come to the conclusion that they knew from the beginning of this sad saga that Brian had killed her. MOO

Yep.. what he/she said.. It isn't a lot to expect, really. .. I want to know which part of Brian's behaviour triggered the Laundries to call SB, was it the van in the driveway, ??? was it Brian's explanation of using Gabby's bankcard to get home? ( Unless that was their suggestion to him way back in Wyoming ) . Was it the disappearance of Gabby, combined with those dreadful pesky Petito' calls, day and night?

I can't figure out which part of all this was 'resolved' by not answering the phone. Which event was the most offensive , and threatening to the Laundries.. and , perhaps, to Brian. Which of those events was he most concerned about.. Grand larceny? petty theft? murder??

It's hard to tell , really.

BBM, I think it is so weird that people are doing this. They have lost their son, they have lost life as they knew it. I don’t know what more these people want. MOO

Agreed.
BTW, think they may have left the home today but apparently, even as they were leaving, four reporters were pushing microphones at them ( IDK if ' protestors are also still outside)

Is the guy in the photo holding the bag Local LE or is he with FBI? Who did CL hand the bag to? jmo Whoever it was that was with the Laundries that day, didn't bother to look in the area where the bag was found for more items??? And, of course, no one was wearing gloves. jmo Shoddy, whoever the agency was. jmo
Although SB said that 1 FBI and 1 NPPD officer met with the Ls to search on the Oct 20, Josh Taylor said that both officers were NPPD!
So, who knows?

Attorney says Laundrie parents told FBI their son was missing | wtsp.com
His parents helped search the reserve twice, each time with North Port Officers. On their second attempt on October 20, Brian's dad found a drybag and brought it to the officers.
"Our officers begin looking that area a little bit more, they find the backpack and other remains. There were a lot of bones and physical evidence," Taylor said. "They took a picture of the backpack and show them the picture saying, 'Does this look like Brian's backpack?' It's my understanding that they confirm that does. They want to come look at everything else that has been found and we tell them no, that they need to leave."

somebody said that it was in fact part of a rope swing
so they're calling it a noose, for the drama, but it's unlikely to be one
Decades ago, I responded to the screams of a young neighbor and found her brother hanging from a rope (previously used with a tire swing) from a tree branch. Luckily, he was saved. While this rope may not have been fashioned to be a noose, and most likely was not used as such, the fact remains, that while investigating a potential crime scene, one would think everything needs to be collected. Analysis is done later, not in the field. IMO. And again, I’ll point out, that when the remains were found, it was not certain that the identity was BL. Further investigation might have needed this and:eek:r the water bottle. Moo

Apologies if this is not what you're saying, but do you think the Laundrie's told Brian to use Gabby's card to get home?

I remember a bunch of us here, including myself, questioning the FBI's decision to spend so much time searching Carlton Reserve. We were hoping they had more to go on than just the Laundries' words. The situation has changed now. We have more info. So, if the Laundries told LE from the beginning he was at the Reserve and then LE found him there, I don't see how we can continue to blame them for not cooperating. If they were trying to misdirect LE why not choose another large swampy park?
Exactly. Telling LE exactly where a suspect is kind of foils your aiding and abetting plot right off the bat.

Speculating that BL might be getting assistance or help from family or friends made some kind of reasonable sense up until his remains were found. But now that he has been found exactly where he was reported to be it's now reasonable to put that speculation to bed. For me anyway. jmo

Maybe it was 2 NPPD officers and one of them was the FBI liaison. Still, why did L's need escorts if the park was open to the public and the search had concluded? jmo

Agreed.

News crew also followed them when they drove off. The press and the rando SM influencers following these people around everywhere could lead to an unpleasant outcome. It's exactly what happened to Princess Diana and should be illegal, imo.

On UK cases I am so used to seeing LE here collecting bags of trash from dumpsters, driving it away to sift later. Also troops of officers on gridded searches combing areas, even though CCTV coverage is huge here & resources are tight ( resource cuts)
We bungle plenty of crim cases over here, btw, I'm not making some patriotic point at all.

The morning that the Ls found the drybag etc, many posters said: ok, now they will surely be starting a meticulous search & won't miss evidence the second ( or third) time around at that location.

Next we all watched all the resources drive in, tents go up ( from the helicopter coverage, from a distance) but I don't recall seeing lines of LE row-walking through sectioned off fields.
I assumed that LE would pick any & all items up & eliminate them later.

How do we know he wasn't professionally diagnosed? That information isn't going to be made public, so we will probably never know.
