Exactly. There are a lot of "I think" and "she seemed" in her statements which IMO means her perspective was subjective. And she says he was "screaming." I do think others would have noticed him screaming. I don't think he was screaming. Again, JMO.

I don't doubt she witnessed a tense ongoing exchange.

The managers statements have really shed some light on this. There's no doubt about that.

MOO.

Gabby Petito Case: Instagrammer Nina Angelo details explosive argument between Petito, Brian Laundrie at Merry Piglets restaurant | abc7ny.com
I'm glad the manager cleared that up. The story the witness told didn't sound credible, with Brian screaming at the staff, walking in, walking out about four times, then both of them leaving for ten minutes only to return and yell at the staff again. Yet she apparently didn't hear a word he said and didn't know what they were arguing about.

So according to the manager, they left without paying. Then after they paid in the parking lot, Gabby went back in to ask for their money back.

I wonder if they had a problem with the food or the service. She said Brian was calm but what about Gabby? Was she was upset or emotional like the witness claimed? Imo

If you felt the food and/or service was crap you might walk out without paying but then, under threat of having the police called, pay. But then, having been forced to pay, argue the money should be refunded.

If you were talking about one person that would indeed be a strange action. But GP and BL are two people. Maybe one paid trying to downplay the incident and move on, and the other wasn't having any of that and wanted the money back.

She did walk that back later on. It is possible that her boyfriend, who was the one with an allegedly amazing memory, corrected her.

That's just how memory works. You have a general remembrance of what happened and then as you think about it and/or discuss it more it gets more and more accurate. (Or, sometimes, less accurate.)

So they left without paying. But Gabby was allegedly crying. This says to me she did not at all agree with leaving without paying. I still see this as Gabby siding with the establishment and this driving Laundrie into a rage.

But..... She went back in and asked for a refund! My guess is she did not want to pay!

Merry Piglets

the incident “wasn’t what everyone said.

Timeline: Petito's final days

The manager, who didn’t want to be on camera, said there were no loud voices, no one got angry and no fit was thrown. The manager said Petito and Laundrie left the restaurant without paying so a server followed them outside. The pair then paid the bill out on the street, with the server noting that Laundrie was calm.

Laundrie and Petito then went back inside the restaurant together with Petito asking for her money back, the manager said. The restaurant said they were not going to give the money back, so the pair left, the manager said. Surveillance video of the interaction has since been deleted.

BBM.

He could have been the one to insist on walking out and we seen what has appeared to be a "calm" Laundrie in a DV stop by Moab Police. He could have forced her to go back and demand money back. MOO

I have found Brian of NewsNation to be very informative during this case, but I am a bit uncomfortable with his trip retracing Gabby's travels. This has added more confusion and hasn't cleared up the Merry Piglets part of this story.

This 5 min. interview with Dr Phil was done before BL’s remains were found. Jim Schmidt says, “We all want to protect our children, that’s understandable, but it’s also more important to teach your children right from wrong, and when something is wrong, you need to do the right thing and have them own up to it, whatever it may be, whatever the consequences may be, and that’s part of being a parent”.

The remainder discusses BL’s parents and is worth listening to.

Because they had to be somewhere??

We can try to excuse what they did all we want - they left the restaurant without paying. That's a criminal act, even though the crime might be somewhat minor. It's equivalent to shoplifting. They were lucky the restaurant didn't call the police on them!

Now I"m thinking of these two people in a different light.

MOO

I don't think we have enough information yet to know what was really going on, so I don't think we should be making accusations. Maybe Gabby had complained about her food and the waitress said it would be comped but just meant Gabby's meal not BL's. I don't know for sure what happened. Gabby apparently asked for her money back AFTER she paid. Something was wrong. I don't know what, though. It could be completely innocent.

I'm sorry, I don't understand the BBM. She (who?) walked what back?

Sorry, after consulting sources I see the actual word was "screaming." The witness at the Merry Piglet said at first that Brian was "screaming." But then she walked that back and said he was "not screaming."

As for sources, you can find "screaming" all over the place. "Not screaming" is here:

Witnesses Say Brian Laundrie Was 'Aggressive' Toward Restaurant Staff, Gabby Petito Apologized: Report

QUOTE: Angelo doesn't believe Laundrie was on drugs at the time of the incident, and said he was "not screaming." However, she said he was behaving aggressively with the restaurant staff, who were all women.

Someone probably mentioned this but - is it possible the Ls knew exactly what BL planned? Or at the very least suspected. Couldn’t face the reality of him admitting that he killed Gabby. Shame, horror, embarrassment, fear…. So just let him go off into the reserve and do what he has to do? Thought crossed my mind.

That's certainly possible, IMO, but I just don't see it. It would depend on how well they knew him... How did he act at home? Confident and bossy, or silent and retiring?
How did he and Gabby get along with each other at his parents house? IMO he was the boss, and Gabby was okay with it, so his folks may have only seen confidence in him. But when he came home, who knoze?
I definitely do not think he told them anything about what he did to her. Never. I think he was probably good at acting confidently. JMO.

Well this more confusing that ever now surrounding the MP situation. I personally am not buying the managers story about what happened and why the video was deleted. Its not adding up for me.
MOO
Can you link the interview? I can’t find it! Thank you :)

You know, Damarna, as much as I disagree with the majority of Brian's parents' decisions, morals, and priorities ~ I cannot imagine them, after all of their sacrifices, throwing everything to the wind and 'just let him go off into the reserve and do what he has to do.' They were trying to protect themselves and him, too, I believe. IMO, they were too invested to let this happen with their knowledge.
