You Know You're Addicted to the Case When:

my husband asks if I want to do something tomorrow as I have the week off and my answer is I can do something during my lunch break. What lunch break, you're off, he says. No...I have trial everyday...

OMGosh - my stomach hurts from laughing so hard. I say the same thing to my DH and DS when they ask what I did today? I was in trial!

Sunday's are the worst....I'm pacing the floors until 5:00 when I can listen to Tricia!

I saw in the newspaper that "The Blood, Sweat & Tears Tour" is coming to town but I had to read it twice because I thought it said "The Blood, Scent & Tears". Im reading too much...

Treated my 14 year old and myself to pedicures yesterday. They had CNN on and of course along came an update on the case....and shared a bonding moment when my DD shot me a knowing look, and (gasp) a smile.

OK...I hate to tell this. But, on May 25 hubby had a heart attack...they flew him by helicopter to hospital, when I finally got to see him and camped out in his room, I took his remote away, anchored my chair beside his bed, held remote to my ear...and watched the trial for 6 days...now that...is hooked. BTW...he's back home and doing OK. OH, and his room at UT Knoxville had the perfect view of the woods of the Body Farm. I took pictures :)

Both of my teen DD's have followed the case along with me since day one.
Now that school is out, my 16 yo DD has developed interest in the trial.
Amazing how quickly she has picked up the lingo... she caught me off guard when she referred to Baez as "<modsnip>"!! :floorlaugh:

Oh LL, I'm so sorry to hear that. Hugs to you and DH for a full and speedy recovery. Kinda spooky that you were able to see the Body Farm from his room, while listening to the trial - egads.

Take care - the both of you.

Hugs,

Mel

Hope I am doing this right, (click the picture for larger view) the body farm is in the woods you see, it goes down almost to the river which is on the left, the gate is somewhere close to the white trailer you see. They said the only signs posted is..."keep out" :) I think you cal see the rest of the pictures that are in my account when you click on the picture.

You know you're addicted to the case when.......

You plan on sitting at a car dealership for 6 hours while they fix your car because they have free WiFi and it will be a good excuse to watch the trial instead of coming home and doing yard work.

Your wife wishes she had never gotten you interested in the case so she can have her husband back!

You go all week getting little sleep because you get up early to watch the trial after working all night.

When during JVM Issues, my sister texts me saying "did you hear what Leonard Padilla just said?" without even needing to ask if I'm watching Also... When my 20yr. old son says" tot mom".

you know your addicted when......

you do find time to speak to your family (sidebars), you now talk like your in court...

"now earlier you stated that you finished your homework, is that correct?"

You know your addicted to this case....

When you need to fly out to the store and get back before the 9am hour...which is what I'm about to do right now....

BBL got some bills to pay...JMHO

lol! I finally read log home mom as three separate words. I didn't know what logho was! :floorlaugh:

Oh, goodness~ I get it now. And I'm so jealous if you actually live in a log hom, loghomemom. I love those. My sister-in-law used to have a beautiful 2 story log home on 30 acres wooded. *sigh*

Anyway -
