For sure there is evidence that would be inadmissible at trial but admissible for sentencing. Prior bad conduct is usually a big part of sentencing, but it's usually inadmissible at trial.

I find that the things that had been ruled inadmissible are some of the most interesting evidence. Although the jury will not know of those things in this phase they will know about them if there is a sentencing phase.

There can be other evidence the state wanted in pertaining to this case where the judge thought was just too harmful against the defendant and if known to the jury it may impede his right to a fair trial.

Yes so many cases where a body is found and skeletal, clothing is found. Sometimes degraded from the elements but there. I think the blanket ended up in the burn barrel. IMO

Molly bish's bathsuitbwas what caught the eye of the hunters who found her remains. But it's nylon not cotton maybe that makes a difference.

LOL Most, if not all, defense attorneys refer to the state as "the government." It's a little more loaded than"the state."

I used to be a sales trainer and her speaking style reminds me of some of my worst students. Humans react to story-telling, not a fire hose of sentences.

It's coming off as yelling at the jury IMO. But who knows what the jury impression of her is.

Whoa. I must have been away from the computer for that statement in the testimony. Totally corroborated by the former police officer who was cutting his grass that morning.

I thought prosecution did a good closing argument. There was a ton of evidence in this relatively short trial.

I think it was very compelling especially when so much time was wasted by the TBI/Dicus focusing on the wrong man for so long. I am so glad he was finally taken off the case and that is when the TBI agents found out all of these defendants' alibis had never even been verified. It still amazes me that any TBI agent would just take their word they were together knowing even if they were all together they could be involved in everything that happened to Holly and were. Unbelievable shoddy work by the TBI agents who first had this case. It should have been solved in days.......not years.

I guess they're implying her clothes were burned (maybe along with some other evidence) in the burn barrel. And the coyotes consumed the remains---but whatever happened to the dang blanket? She was taken away in the blanket so it wasn't burned in the barrel and the coyotes didn't eat it so where is it? Why wasn't it found with her remains?

If she was, in fact, dismembered, the blanket could be in the river with her lower body.
