Defense Closing;

I do not think Autry came across as "Aw shucks, good old boy" like this defense attorney just said. He came across as a violent despicable criminal.

And he just compared the dates when Zach mentioned they had no gun and when they actually found out Holly had been shot! Could that remove reasonable doubt for the jury? It does for me!

I thought that was a fantastic point! Only the killers knew how she was killed.

As far as removing reasonable doubt for others that I cannot say. I have never seen the RD in this case. One must put all of the CE together in its totality and not demand to know certain things individually that doesn't even have to be proved by the state in the first place since ZA is charged with felony murder and acting in concert with the other defendants.

Why would someone implicate themselves in a kidnapping and murder if they didn't do it? Jason Autry told what he told and he was right there when HB's body was transported and he's the one who pointed out she was still alive. He is part of her being murdered.

So he comes into court, he tells exactly that, he implicates himself in her murder. Of course he was believable. No one (sane) sits in court and claims they were part of a murder if they weren't.

Just because we don't like people, or what people have done and they are people who engage in things we can't possibly comprehend...doesn't mean they aren't capable of telling the truth. Especially, if what they said can be corroborated by unrelated people. Is Jennifer Thompson really trying to say that Jason Autry went to the PO who was mowing his lawn, the woman he knocked on the door of at Kelly's Ridge, the house cleaner at Dottie's, and Victor Dinsmore to get his story straight?? doesn't even make sense.

I do think she has made several good points about Jason in her closing

Exactly. That's why his testimony was credible. I just don't understand what point the defense is trying to make.

Uuuugh guys I'm still having a problem with no DNA whatsoever anywhere. I know I know it's the CSI effect. Was there anymore on that nail polish?

I will always wonder about this nail polish that was found somehow with the remains and at Zach's house. I just wish there had been more on this. We don't even know if we are talking paint fleck or bottle or bottle at remains and fleck at Zach's house. I was truly surprised no witness was called about the nail polish.

Either not a match or state did not think they could make it all make sense with the locations not revealing Zach's house in the timeline of Holly being alive according to Autry.

I think it was true that he had control. However, she didn't take control. Why? Maybe she wanted him to come off controlling.

She's wrong. The judge had and has absolute control. Not the attorneys, not the witnesses.

Witnesses are asked questions. They either answer them (like Autry) or they obfuscate (like that Marshall did).

Jason did not say he was at the barn the day of the abduction, he said he went back to the barn after Dylan gave him "information" on what happened at the barn. So Vitt not seeing Jason the morning of the abduction is irrelevant. He didn't go back to the barn until months later I believe.
