I think this new evidence, if conclusive, rules out the notion that she wandered off and had gotten lost somewhere. 13 miles is an awfully long way to "wander off" to.

I was born and raised in Southern Michigan. It wouldn't take that long to get from Newport to Flat Rock, and you could do it basically undetected via back-roads.

I saw on the Help Find Chelsea Bruck facebook page a post about 2 individuals charged with giving false information in Chelsea's case. Does anyone know anything about this? I couldn't find the link to the news article online.

The woman in the photo identified herself in the comments section of the Monroe County Sheriff's Facebook page. It's not Chelsea.

I don't think that's Chelsea. The girl in that photo has short hair and Chelsea had a long, dark wig. It's possible it could be tucked back so it looks shorter, but in my opinion, it looks like a completely different person.

My stance on this is that, of course, as a family member you're going to want your loved one home in any way possible, whether that information leads to a conviction or not. I hope and pray Chelsea is found swiftly.

From my unprofessional opinion, no. However, when gathering information with which you may want to use in future prosecution, admissibility of evidence/testimony is something to be considered.

CJ Mom, Yes, it is technically considered hearsay, but there are many variants of hearsay in Michigan and federal evidence rules. There is both admissible and inadmissible hearsay. In this case, there are many exceptions that apply to the rule of hearsay that would allow the inmate's...

Thanks for the tip, Criminal Justice mom! I deleted my account just to be safe. I only created one to see if sketch guy and CB were friends on there, which they aren't.

I would post a link to the man from the sketch's account, but I am new, and I am still unclear as to what what is acceptable to post and what is not where identity is concerned.

So I created a temporary "MeetMe" account to see what I could dig up. It definitely appears to be a hook up site similar to tinder and the like. I will post my findings as soon as I figure out how to search for people. Edit: CB does not appear to have an account on MeetMe. Or rather, she is not...

This is my first post on Websleuths, so I apologize if the information I share has already been covered. I thought I knew the identity of the gentleman in the police sketch, so I submitted my tip with crimestoppers online. Additionally, I decided to google search the young man's name to see what...
