I see what you mean. I would have to agree with Wiegert. Colborn not writing a report til 8 months later doesn't follow protocol one would believe. I would think that is important information to be written up immediately. Or to be recorded.
A cadaver dog, to my understanding, only hits on human remains or the smell. Tracking dogs only follow scents they are given to find and I haven't heard a tracking dog was used. If not, a real missed opportunity to see where she walked or if she was even in the trailer.
Was TH's DNA found on the driver's door handle? Or anywhere on the exterior of the RAV 4 or her finger prints? I assume they would have had her prints from her home at least.
And what about using those little evidence flags? True, there were a lot of small bones, but put flags up on most, especially those that were outside the pit. Then take pictures. But no pictures, no coroner = suspicious.
I asked this question here last night wondering if EDTA could now be found in blood. And usually forensic evidence covers blood or DNA or ballistics......I certainly don't know what new advances have been made since 2005-2007. Ten years is a long time.
Any more ideas at what she could be hinting?
Is it possible to detect ETDA in blood samples now? In 2016? I have no idea. Could that be one thing Zellner might be referring to when she says forensic testing has advanced? Any ideas on what she could mean?
I haven't had time to read the transcripts. I started on Barry's testimony. I believe they were asking him if he didn't hear the message machine recording the message and he said, no, he was asleep.
Was there testimony that someone confirmed the message from TH? Or that Steven heard the message...
Regarding the *67 calls, was there any testimony Steven received the message from the message machine? BJ was at work (correct me if I am wrong) and Barry was asleep. The message went to BJ's machine in her residence. If he didn't receive the message, maybe that's why he called her the first...
