Here is a thought. Could MM have been aware that some but not all of the Columbus area doctors that had criminal trials over the years were acquitted?
I'm wondering if he arrogantly believed that he can get away with murder and that he would be acquitted in a jury trial.
This is not the first time that a Columbus area doctors have been charged with serious crimes and had sensational trials in Franklin County.
A Columbus Dispatch newspaper article from 2021 details Columbus area doctors since the 1970's that went on trial for serious crimes.
5 Columbus doctors...
And when patients called the doctors office after MM's arrest, I imagine that patients calling the doctors office for an appointment was told by the receptionist, "Ummm... we're in a reshuffling right now. Ummm...you'll be getting a new surgeon."
The fact that he was using a false address and a fax machine phone number has me wondering if he also was being hounded by bill collectors and creditors.
You're not kidding that this is so bizarre. This was the first news story on the WSYX-TV 6:00 PM newscast this evening.
The Nevada lawyer told WSYX-TV that MM was named in the lawsuit on account of MM not training a physician assistant a medical procedure which injured a patient in 2023 that...
During the 6:00 PM newscast tonight on WSYX-TV in Columbus, WSYX is reporting that the process server for a lawyer in Nevada couldn't serve the Nevada lawsuit papers on MM.
It turns out that MM gave his employer in Nevada a fake address and the phone number MM gave them was a phone number for a...
Here is the reason why in Ohio a person cannot enter a guilty plea on a felony charge during their arraignment hearing.
Back in 1975 there was a mentally challenged man in Columbus who was arraigned for the murder of a 14 year old Christie Mullins, and during his first court appearance in...
I agree with you that flying is the best option.
We don't know what MM's state of mind will be during the extradition trip.
Let's say that he is driven by vehicle transport and they stop at a rest area somewhere for a bathroom break. And then MM tries to escape.
By trying to escape, MM would...
And I would also say that a lot of locksmiths will busy installing new deadbolts and security door locks.
Not long ago I had a locksmith replace the old deadbolts and security door locks on my home with brand new deadbolts and security door locks. And it was well worth the money to have it...
Under 2911.11 of the Ohio Revised Code, aggravated burglary is when:
(1) The offender inflicts, attempts or threatens to inflict physical harm on another.
(2) The offender has a deadly weapon or dangerous ordnance on or about the offender's person or control.
In plain language it means an armed...
After looking at Section 2911.11 of the Ohio Revised Code which pertains to aggravated burglary, I believe this will be one of the aggravating factors for the aggravated murder premeditated charge that MM is currently facing.
It is possible that he could try to delay any trial in Ohio for as long as he possibly can by claiming that he is incompetent or that he is criminally insane.
But it would be difficult for him to prove incompetency or insanity considering that all of his actions were premeditated.
