Maria's father is alive and is an Air Force Reserve master sergeant in the 87th Aerial Port Squadron, which is part of the 445th Airlift Wing at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. I haven't seen any quotes from him.

CNN is reporting now that the person reported seen in LA got off a bus that was going from Dallas to Shreveport. That seems pretty odd if it is really him. If he was travelling east, why would they expect him to go back west into Texas?

Maybe he's only traveling at night and laying low during the day. That might explain the lack of any update today.
