We are all trying to figure out what is meant by "Shearing". I know I've read it before but can't remember where.

The suicide note probably was written by but it was wifey that "found" it and turned it in. Probably had something to do with it. (Sure would like to know what it said, why won't they release it?)

Yes, was the one seen driving Maria's car, but it was parked at 's house for possibly a few days, wifey had to know something about it.

The kind of shearing that broke, cut, opened up her skin over flesh and bone and caused massive bleeding leaving evidence of blood, splatter in two separate rooms. Anything type of force that caused the skin to open and bleed.

That doesn't mean she didn't drive it cuz no media coverage, witness to date stating it. Doesn't mean she never drove it. I can tell ya this, if was in her driveway on her property, for many hours and days. All right then, she walked by it.

Someone asked why they seem so sure she was killed on December 15th. I think it's because they believe the wife that she wasn't involved in the murder and that she was not at the house on the 15th. The quote from the wife's father indicates he was told by wife that she wasn't there on the day she was murdered.

Sounds like everything was hunky dorey at Cesars house until he got wind of maria being reported missing on the 19th, suddenly the car is back at the bustop, her phone turns up at the base entrance, etc, etc.

Now why did they keep Maria's car so long and out in the open at that? Why were they so arrogant that Maria's disappearance was never going to be noticed and never point back to them?

Dodge ram QUAD cab DOES NOT come in TWO door, Only FOUR door. (duh, Quad cab LOL) I only point this out, because on the slideshow posted, when they show the truck - they say it's a quad cab,and show a pic of a four door but then comment that it's a two door! If people don't know the truck and are going on what's being released...if/when they are/were looking for the truck...well...unless someone is strictly looking at the tag.....they're going to pass the possible 's vehicle up!

I had a 2003 Ram Quadcab..You can fit ALOT into it - esp. w/ a tonneau cover...IE he could have EASILY had her back there for awhile too. (already deceased)

Mrs and other questions

Where was she from Dec 13th thru Dec 19th? If she was "really"gone was it a planned trip or spur of the moment? To where? With whom? Was she in the habit of taking off on trips without ? Where did she stay? Can anyone verify that she was actually there? Did she leave to establish an alibi for herself ) ie: was Maria's murder premeditated by the BOTH of them but did the dirty work and she just helped "clean up" after?

Did she drive Maria's car? Did she know it was Maria's car? What was HER story as to the car being at their house for days? Surely Mr Nosey Neighbor said SOMETHING to Mrs about a strange car being at their house while she was "gone" didn't he?

Did she help do anything else and if she didn't...who did? Maria's car didn't drive itself to the TWO places it was parked when it wasn't at house - who helped move the car....TWICE? If it was someone else didn't that person know it wasn't 's car and wonder why they had it? I would assume would have some MAJOR explaining to do to Mrs as to why Maria's car was AT THEIR HOUSE WHILE Mrs was GONE for several days...right? And since was under a restraining order wouldn't other friends from the base also wonder why Maria would be going to 's house OR why she would leave her car there while she went OOT?

WHO really bought the ticket to El Paso? I do not for ONE MINUTE believe Maria bought that ticket OR intended to take off AWOL to El Paso Texas (a place where she had never been and knew no-one) DAYS before her baby was due after making it 9 MONTHS under the conditions she lived with on that base and working with every day. She was in the home stretch and was finally going to get the prosecuted once the baby was born - there was NO REASON to leave at that point. And why would Maria spend money on a bus ticket to make a point to or anyone else DAYS before she was to give birth and days before Christmas? I think Mrs bought that ticket - unless has yet another woman "on the side" who would buy it for him.

And when was seen last by ANYONE other than Mrs ? Wed on base? I think he was gone ASAP on Wed night and somehow got word to Mrs Friday morning at 4AM that he had made if safe to Mexico and she could call LE. There is NO WAY I believe he was still at home till 4AM Friday morning. If he was he is a fool to stick around till 4 AM Friday morning and THEN suddenly decide to make up the suicide story and then leave. Everything else was pretty well planned - that part doesn't "fit" with prior behavior. And yes, I see a woman's touch to a LOT of the evidence and the cover-up. Many things a MAN (especially a young one of only 21 in the military) would NOT have thought of IMO.

YEP, IMO Mrs seems to be in this up to her eyeballs - and if she didn't help plan to kill Maria, I think she at least helped cover up her murder after the fact. And yes, If she didn't know BEFORE, I think she knew what the truth was the minute she got back from her "trip" - if she was ever really on a trip at all. Mrs knew was a louse and was accused of rape - and even if he didn't rape Maria there was little question that he had a baby on the way with Maria - does anyone think she would go out of town and leave home alone for DAYS - and if she did, don't you think she's be going over the house and 's activities while she was gone in DETAIL when she did get home??? And what, she missed the sudden unplanned paint job and deep cleaning--- in the GARAGE??? I know if I was gone for 5 days and came home to a freshly painted room and garage and a garage and house CLEANER than when I left I would be askin' some questions of MR FC.

Plus all that "new landscaping" out back and the BUZZARDS hanging out in the back yard - that didn't make her go HUNH??? I mean what - did say he killed a dear and buried it out back??? What sort of body did Mrs think they were burning back there? Didn't she ask?? I mean surely she knew SOMETHING formerly alive and pretty large was was buried in their back yard? So, if Mrs KNEW it was Maria's body then did she really "buy" a bloody suicide and if so, why didn't SHE report it to LE? If she is truly THAT DUMB, and then didn't report it when she found out and then HELPED cover up the "suicide" (and if so what a good loyal and DUMB AS A POST woman) she is then almost as guilty as (IMO).

IMO Mrs may have instigated and was part of the planning and the cover -up - but not the execution. I think Mrs may have even helped lure Maria over to the house. Perhaps she wanted Maria out of 's life but I do not buy that she DID the murder. She was smart enough to get to do the deed and then just helped him cover it up (making sure only HE looked guilty) - and ultimately helped him get away so she could incriminate him, establish her innocence and keep up the facade of the "poor" dumb wife. If he didn't run, then the scrutiny would fall ON THEM BOTH - this way it's all ON HIM and she is playing the poor unsuspecting wife role. I think she may have suckered him into killing Maria and once that was done - she suckered him into running for her own gain. I think Mrs is dumb LIKE A FOX. And I think she suckered right into killing Maria and leaving her free as a bird - and the poor betrayed wife.

This whole nasty mess reeks of a man desperate to get rid of a woman problem - a problem carrying an 18 year problem and promising a criminal problem and an end to his military career as well. It ALSO reeks of a jealous wife MAD at her husband for MANY betrayals and angry that a SON, not hers, was going to take her husband's name and his money away from her and HER child and make her look like a fool in the bargain. Lots of shame for HER to live down because of 1st 's behavior and THEN Maria getting pregnant and not getting rid of the baby and walking around for 9 months with the evidence of her husbands stupidity growing larger and larger . Their world was crashing in on them and in their eyes it was ALL MARIA's FAULT! If she was "gone" then they could just go back to their lives like nothing every happened. BUT Maria didn't go away - she was RIGHT IN THEIR FACES (and their friends faces) every DAY and then Maria got bigger and bigger because she decided to have her baby (and not abort it) and I betcha knew Maria intended to KEEP the baby herself and again - she and THE BABY were going to be RIGHT THERE in everyones faces EVERY DAY - and was probably going to get charged with rape and get discharged and shame them even MORE....unless they did SOMETHING fast.

And what a horrible way to kill a woman and YOUR OWN BABY- in your own home with a KNIFE ? He slit her throat??? Desperation turns some people into ANIMALS . Makes me ILL - I hope it was fast and painless - but I fear it was as horrid and cruel as it sounds. I pray Marie and her son were met with angels and perfect love by Tybee and Laci and her son.

Snippets from article .. this one states that Christina is "a former marine" - so, who knows - another contradiction from latest sheriff statement in news briefing. Sure is difficult getting accurate info about facts in this case.



Christina Laurean, a former Marine, has been devastated by the allegations against her husband and his subsequent disappearance, her mother said. Debbie Shifflet added that her daughter is concerned about the impact the episode will have on the Laurean's' 18-month-old daughter.


Bruce Shifflet said the family is finding it harder to believe Cesar Laurean's version of events as time goes on.

"I kind of almost wanted to believe that myself too because, having met with Cesar, his character doesn't (indicate) that at all. He's a very personable, likable guy who our family enjoyed being around," he said.

He urged his son-in-law to surrender for his family's sake.

"I thought he was a man of character, but it's obvious he's just a coward, taking off on his family and leaving this as a tragedy for both families," he said. "It's just a horrible, vulgar act."

Brown has challenged Cesar Laurean's assertion that Lauterbach killed herself, citing what he described as evidence of a violent confrontation inside the Laurean home - blood spatters on the ceiling and a massive amount of blood on the wall. Someone apparently tried to clean up the blood, even painting over some of it, he said.

Neighbor Wanda Alander said she noticed paint cans stacked on the porch of the Laurean home before Christmas.

"When I went over there, the living room was already painted. (Christina Laurean) mentioned that they were going to do some more stuff, like paint the bedrooms and the garage," Alander said.


Alander also said she saw the couple burning something behind the house around the same time, while her husband claimed he saw Cesar Laurean driving Lauterbach's car.

Christina Laurean, who delivered her husband's note to authorities on Friday, has cooperated with the investigation, Brown said

OK All of us needs to take a step back here.If the wife had anything to do with this why did not all the family leave??Also I read somewhere here his wife was not home for a few days.
A strange car in the drive way!! Honey a buddy of mine is out of town and did not trust leaving it on the base.
Seen painting paints over the walls a few coats of the orginal paint color. And then ask Honey what color do you want this.
If she is involved why is she not arrested?

I hope when all is said and done people here are willing to eat Crow. If she is I will for sure.
