Initially - Sheriff bozo Brown stated that the witness information he received came from a former marine. He, himself, had not spoken directly with that witness at that juncture - nor did he mention that the witness was the corporal's wife.
In a later news conference, a day or so later, Sheriff Brown corrected that mis-statement when responding to a reporter's question. It was very brief & easy to miss. I had 2 TV's on - one of them on
*closed captioning*. That's how I caught it. Additionally, I re-ran the piece to be sure I heard him & read the captioning correctly.
Same sort of reporting scenario with the
"Mother - Step-Mother - Adoptive Mother" thing. Geez, there is SO much mis-information being printed or reported out in the media. With that said - it is my understanding that Maria's mother is her adoptive mother as she adopted Maria as a very young child shortly after marrying Maria's father.
It was stated by her mother that she & Maria normally spoke several times a day before she went missing. That sounds, to me, like they shared a fairly close relationship.

My posted info is strictly from news articles & press conferences - not blogs, gossip sites, or hearsay postings. If the LE investigator's info or the news organizations reporters info is incorrect - then so is the info posted here.
Okay - we've heard from Maria's uncle, (Steiner, her mother's brother) but, to my knowledge - nothing from Maria's father. Why? Is he still alive? deceased? Anyone heard anything about him? Where is he?
