A Home Office spokeswoman said: "Following an application from the Metropolitan Police for Special Grant funding, the Home Office has confirmed £85,000 in operational costs for Operation Grange for the period 1 April until September 2017." "As with all applications, the resources required are...

Going back to the Great Ouse body find, it was initially reported on my local radio station (King's Lynn FM) that the male was far older than Corrie (don't remember the actual age given, something like 30-40, but do remember it immediately discounted Corrie). As to people climbing into bins...

I agree. Third party involvement gives them someone to focus their hate on. No family wants to be told their loved one died by their own hand or because of their own actions (it's why so many families bitterly fight suicide rulings).

You'd be surprised. Lots of serving Police Officers with criminal convictions, even fairly serious ones. There was an article in the MSN about it.

The Daily Fail isn't known for it's accurate reporting...far from it.

I'm sure the Police don't want them to remember what did happen, but instead what did not happen. I haven't the foggiest what I was doing exactly 5 months ago, but with 100% certainty I can let you know what I wasn't doing and what I didn't see.

I'd say 50/50. Felling cold (and colder as the alcohol takes effect), nice clean cardboard bin would be ideal. For a grunt in the military the 'clean' would just be a bonus considering some of the places you're expected to sleep. There was a drunk student who slept in a bin overnight and got...

Indeed. Also, when one is cold and miserable one often curls up into a fetal ball; are the bins large enough to house an adult in the fetal position? He wouldn't be seen in the bin because he'd cover himself in cardboard to keep warm. I'm not suggesting this scenario is likely, only that is is...

Based on the following (I think) undisputed facts: Corrie was last seen near some commercial waste bins People in the UK are known to climb into commercial waste bins for shelter (and/or perhaps cover) Some people in the UK who have entered commercial waste bins have been killed when compacted...

I'm sure the Police are monitoring SM very carefully, if for no other reason than to record what is being deleted by the family.

I think someone mentioned it was 9 degrees C, which is certainly cold by warm September day standards.

Oh I concur 100%. I wasn't commenting on what was probably, merely what was possible and definitely not illegal as some had stated.

Lol, indeed! Slightly different of course because tons of evidence suggests what did happen and what certainly did not happen in that case, wheres in this case I don't think anyone has anything other than wild guesses.

It may have absolutely nothing to do with his disappearance, but we should stick to facts regardless.
