I think the story is that dad was working and brother was sleeping. Brother was sleeping at his home.
Thanks. I think it's clear now. The report was pretty vague, but I think I understand now.

I am one of those that said I was on the fence starting to slip off. I think the article added humanity to DB and JI, which is what I saw from the beginning. Flawed though they may be I just have a difficult time seeing either of them as heartless demons which they would need to be to do something to Lisa and then cover it up. I haven't seen any proof yet and don't think drinking, changing timelines or lawyering up are proof. I am not 100% sure yet on the dog hit in the room yet, but that is one fact that I haven't forgotten.

BBM. This sounded so out there to me I just had to google it and lo and behold it is illegal here in CA too!! Who knew? My husband, a lifelong CA resident, certainly didnt. Seems front lawns, driveways and front porches are considered public places and therefore the open container and public intoxication laws apply. Im officially so gobsmacked Im gonna need a stiff capn n coke after dinner. um Ill have it on the back porch of course and make sure my dinner guests stay there with their drinks too. :innocent:
O/T, but what you wrote addresses disparigy in music lyrics...and how "fans" think lyrics mean one thing, but the songwriter meant something else...BTDT a few times...it's very interesting to ask a songwriter "what did you mean?" and find it's not what you thought they meant...or you read/hear an interview and find out such...BBM
I think that's incredibly interesting. I'm not exactly sure why I find so many varying responses to this article so fascinating. Maybe it's the writer in me. Every writer writes with intent, but very seldom does the reader truly know the intent of the writer. We can guess, and we do, because that is point of reading...but where we end up often has less to do with the writer and his intent, than it does with how we internalize what he has written.
If that makes any sense. :blushing:
But anyway, I'm glad you shared that.![]()
This post made me realize something that may explain why perceptions of the case differ. It's the premises we make.
If only heartless demons can hurt their children, any proof that someone is not completely heartless will clear them.
But if we think parents don't have to be heartless demons to do something to their children it's a lot less clear cut.
I don't think parents have to be heartless demons to do something to their children. People are mostly not completely black and white and there are lots of people who made horrible decisions who have not been complete psychopaths through all their life.
I am not sure if these parents did anything, but just because there is a human background doesn't say anything to me one way or another.
I think this article was written to sell newspapers, nothing more, nothing less. Afterall, there is nothing new to report in this case, seeing that both sides are not talking, so why not dig into the past of the players involved by interviewing a family member. Throw on an attention grabbing headling : From mother hen to media villain: The life of Debbie Bradley, missing baby Lisa Irwin's mom and sales go up.
mother hen - a person who cares for the needs of others (especially in an overprotective or interfering way)

Do we know or have a link stating that they are not talking to the FBI or sheriffs department? They haven't said yes or no. To my knowledge only KCPD is stating that they aren't talking to them.

A crowd of volunteers, which included Lisas grandparents, searched the woods near 53rd Street and Randolph Road on Saturday

Good to hear that some family members are working this case.
What does the 'mother hen' title mean? Are they describing Debbie as a mother hen? :waitasec:
...and that was the nicest definition I could come up with!![]()
Well, right. Like in Neil Diamond's "Cracklin Rosie", cracklin rosie is cheap red wine, but most of the listening audience thinks Rosie is a prostitute.
As clever as that is, I don't really think journalists for a major media outlets intend to fool the readership into believing they're writing one thing but meaning something completely different . ..

I have 2 sons , 23 and 26 yrs, just getting their own insurance w/o being under mine was difficult, both have worked hard since their teens. But many road blocks are put up b/c of their age. Getting credit and meeting the requirements to own or rent a house is definitely not easy at that age. Not to mention all the cost that go with it.
Possibly, the Magic Word: "Co-Signer"
That is the easiest way for a young person to get a lease... Well, that and the fact that the home may belong to a friend or extended family member.
Confusion, on WS threads, has erupted over PN's living situation because simple web searches on many of the typical people search sites does show his association with JI and lists one previous address as the JI home on N Lister. The newer , address is not listed showing up...but Independence, MO does show up as a previous residency.
