I could see Josh being capable of poisoning Susan over time and giving her a big dose at the end. But did she complain consistently of feeling sick or anything?

I never met Susan but I think about her all the time. Driving around the Utah freeways at all the sagebrush to the side, the scrub oak, etc. And I think, "She's out there somewhere." I pray the police are on the right track. She didn't deserve any of this, and JP deserves whatever he gets in this life & the next!

Kiirsi Hellewell packed up Susan's things when josh was moving from WVC to WA; Kiirsi should know if they were in her things that she packed.

The church function was not on Sunday, it was on Saturday. Look here at this site: http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-504083_162-20094603-504083.html Notice the date under the picture states December 5, 2009. She disappeared on Sunday evening, December 6, 2009.

She may have worn earrings to church Sunday as well. Her friend that visited that afternoon might remember if she still had her earrings in. What about her wedding ring?

<modsnip> I had been seeing all these pictures of her in the media - especially living here in Utah. So, I had a pretty good picture formed in my mind as to what she looked like. Then, he puts up the site, and the pictures all had a consistent quality to them - that is, they made Susan look bad.

You could tell it was done deliberately, because EVERY ONE of them looked bad. So, what kind of <modsnip> deliberately puts unflattering pictures of his wife on ANY website - be it Facebook, or whatever? <modsnip>

Little did I know how accurate that opinion would prove to be.

Exactly. He can fake-cry all he wants, but that shows how he really feels about her.

First off; don't assume someone can poison someone just because "they look like someone who could do that". No wonder the guy went into hiding (after 3 police interviews). Any lawyer worth his money will always tell his client to not talk to police, especially if you are suspect #1 and they are grasping at straws. Being popular with public opinion is the least of Josh's worries. He's worried about his boys, angry/worried/confused regarding his wife, and of course the mob mentality which plagues him every day which he fears may turn into violence against him or his family. Look at the Casey Anthony trial- people threatening her family. Everyone reacts differently- and with the advent of the internet; any little detail can become misconstrued, distorted (in regards to his demeanor, affect, etc.). It's great to have forum discussion, but sad people have tunnel vision.

People need to remember the following quote from Kiirsi's blog:

"Here, once and for all is the short answer to those questions: You don’t know all the details here. There are many, many details of Susan’s background/relationship with Josh/etc. that have NOT been made public. And you WILL NOT hear them from me, either. My whole goal, focus and priority here is to find Susan. This includes not telling the world things the police want kept inside the investigation. "

And no; this just isn't related to Steve's antics.

No, respectfully- this would not be fairly easy.

If Susan's DNA were on charred pieces of wood found at the dig site, it would also contain at a minimum three other individuals DNA. Analyzing that takes a bit more time than one day.

Wood can be porous and any liquified decomposition can seep into the wood.

The person who handled the wood chips may leave skin cells on them. The person who placed the wood chips there may have left skin cells or DNA on them, and whomever the decomposition fluid belonged to to would have DNA there. I agree with you that there could be three, maybe more (who knows), DNA profiles to be extracted.

I believe it would take a minimum of a week or several days to identify Susan's DNA because I am sure they have her profile.

It would be so great to find Susan's AND JP's DNA on the chips!

BBM

I think of this statement often. It provokes thoughts and wonderings about what really went on. We may be only touching the surface.

BBM We were speaking to the appearance of Susan's hair, that it was thinning, NOT to josh's abilities/inabilities.

IF josh were so concerned [angry/worried/confused] about his wife's disappearance ALL he would have to do is speak with the police about the events leading up to her going missing, what she was wearing etc. THIS did not happen because he is 'afraid' of the police. IF he is innocent, the police will determine that; IF he is innocent he has NOTHING to fear from the police.

As for what the public thinks of him; THATshould be the least of his worries. Having a steady job supporting his sons, helping authorities find his wife, no matter the circumstances, and solving this mystery should be JOB ONE for him.

Kiirsi was on national tv saying 'we still love josh' right after she went missing; something I've always wondered about.

As for steve's antics, he is the one who will answer for them. LOL

Susan was failed in several ways soon after she went missing; why do you think so many people who never met her have advocated for her.

josh, IMHO, was an abusive husband; just the journal that she kept at work speaks volumes to her thoughts.

SUSAN is the priority here; as for joshie and stevie....they will get what is coming to them. Keeping your daughter in law's underwear in a locked cabinet? THAT is a FREAK in my book! IMHO

FWIW....I have never said anyhting about josh that I wouldn't say to his face; I look forward to seeing him in the court room. As someone who has spent time in Utah, and I don't live there, looking for Susan, I will attend the trial. :)

Thought about josh speaking to the police:

WHY is he afraid of the police? They won't 'take him in', beat him, torture him or waterboard him. IF a person is innocent then they state their case. Only a paranoid person would be afraid that they would CRACK under questioning. The pictures I saw of josh rushing from the police station 'clutching his son for dear life' he looked as if he were being chased by the hounds from he!!.Why is he afraid of the police?

I will be interested to see what type of charred wood was taken into evidence, and what it is determined to be. It matters a lot what type of 'hardwood' it is (if it is hardwood) as to whether or not it would retain HR scent. Porous or not etc.

Yes, and I do hope we get to hear the results of the tests!

Thanks...................:loser:

Welcome to Websleuths, ransackmobilize!

I would have put some cute welcome smileys here for you, but my little laptop is not cooperating!

While you and I may disagree strongly on some points regarding Susan's disappearance, I look forward to hearing more from you!

Police say they’ll keep searching desert for signs of Susan Powell

Topaz Mountain • The Juab County search for Susan Cox Powell, originally supposed to last four days last week, may go days longer as police and volunteers continue looking for the missing West Valley City woman.

"We’re covering a lot of ground and we’re going to continue moving forward until we cover all the ground we need to," said West Valley City police Sgt. Mike Powell, who is no relation to Susan Powell.

Mike Powell later added, "There is no definite end to the search."

The must have gleened very good info from something or the home of Josh & Steve's.

I've wondered that, over time. She almost looks like she has a medical condition - alopecia, or something - in some of the pictures. So, you never saw anything like that with her? I wonder if he Photoshopped them.

The thing is that EVERYONE takes bad pictures, like the ones he has on that site. The thing is that most people just drag them to the recycle bin on their computer, so that no one ever sees them. He seems to have deliberately chosen them.

IIRC, Susan was very ill for a long period of time in the year before she disappeared. She had the Bishop give her a blessing because of it. I remember something about Josh behaving badly and innapropriately during that visit. I've always felt that JP may have been poisoning Susan for awhile.

That's right. One of the boys did something and Josh was laughing out loud and behaving more like a child than an adult. It wouldn't surprise me to find out he was poisoning her long term either, and it has to do with everything we have learned about him, not the way he looks.
