did 2 years in a litigation firm early on and I hated billable hours with a passion. Now I've been at the same boring financial company for 15 years but with that comes a lot of flexibility.

With that also comes the ability to get sucked into these cases...this has to be the most bizarre one I've followed though. It's hard to conjure up a more pathologically dangerous creature than JA.

You're living the dream! I keep glancing at the clock, having mini panic attacks about a motion I have to write, and then going back to Websleuths.....that .1 be darned!

Right? Why is that? I sit here for at least 10 minutes trying to decipher my time zone. :floorlaugh:

We're going to daylight savings this weekend, and I swear I spent an hour thinking, does that mean we're 1 hour ahead on the East Coast? Or three hours ahead? And I'm still not sure. :floorlaugh:

They said they start at 42?
So 40 was disqualified?

Was she ever offered LWOP?

This trial is ridiculous.

However, because of all of the titillating sex, it is keeping people glued to this trial.

There are a lot of people making money off of this including a lot of advertisers.

If this had been someone who killed her BF, the interest would be gone. But because of all of the sex, it has really grabbed on audience.

Actually I got interested in this trial after seeing the Dateline interview a long time ago. The extent of Travis' injuries vs. Jodi pleading self-defense caught my interest so I found out the date for the trial and have been following ever since. Until the trial started I had no idea the sex stories would become the daytime x-rated soap opera.

Court reporter Mike can type 300 words per minute! I didn't know that was even humanly possible!

It's a good think he was there then during Jodi's babble, babble, babble.

I hope they start the afternoon session on time :coffeews:

Hagrid would NEVER be seen sitting on Jodi's side. Nor, for that matter would Chewy. Just sayin'.

Stop that. :hand: I couldn't sleep after you were saying this last night, now I have to eat lunch and need to keep it down. :seeya:

Thats not going to happen.

Mark my word.

Aquitted? Baaawhaaaa!:floorlaugh:

Watch her middle finger on her right hand as she testifies, she just has hinky joints ...IMO.

One of my childhood friends had very long, bony fingers like Jodi's. She was constantly cracking her knuckles. I wonder if Jodi did this, too?

But within that same face stroking the phantom injury goes flat!

but one photo shows left hand, one photo shows right hand, eh?

Can't verify his "source" but from twitter -

1:58 PM

Chris Williams @chriswnews

A source with knowledge described the #JodiArias jury questions to me as "sensible". #Arias will begin hearing them @ 1pm local

This is good to hear.

sensible to who's eyes???? the defenses 'sensible' would be different than the prosecutions idea of 'sensible'.

So I hope he was talking to the prosecution side :)

Also, pull up your Google Browser (google.com) and simply type in Time In Arizona

(or any state or country) it gives you the time immediately!

The questions will be about her inconsistencies, asking her to clarify them to which she'll expound on her lies and make up new ones. The amount of questions indicate that at least some on the jury are seriously considering her claim of self-defense and they need some loose ends tied up before voting to acquit. It's not good at all.

Well, it's a matter of how you look at it.

I think that (quoting you with my RB:

The questions will be about her inconsistencies, asking her to clarify them to which she'll expound on her lies and make up new ones. The amount of questions indicate that at least some on the jury are [WEIGHING] her claim of self-defense and they need some loose ends tied up before voting to finding her guilty and sentencing her to death . It's very promising

For all of you having troubles trying to figure out the time zones.... we should be back in court in 25 minutes!

also... if you think you are confused now, wait until next week when time changes... Arizona does not change time!!!! :D (where I live in Canada, we also do not change time)

LOL! There's one small town in Ontario that doesn't either. Makes it really hard to dispatch air ambulances for them I tell you. Hi sorta neighbour!! :seeya:

How would taking the gun out of a holster be premeditated versus just grabbing a gun off a shelf?

I've heard a few lawyers in other cases on tv say that the time it takes you to grab a weapon and go back into another room to use it is premeditated if the victim does not have a weapon themselves. Premeditation does not have to take hours or days or weeks of planning. It can take seconds to premeditate a murder. Again, this is my understanding of what I've heard in other cases where premeditation was prominent. Oh and Nancy Grace says something similar almost daily.

me too in ca

At this moment, California is 1 hour behind Arizona... so if it's 1pm in Arizona, it's 12pm in California.

After next Sunday, we'll be on the same time as Arizona thanks to daylight savings time... so starting Sunday, if it's 1pm in Arizona, it'll be 1pm in California.

Geesh... that IS confusing... LMAO!
