100 questions from the jury: Arias answering on her 16th day on the stand #75

Jurors may want to know they aren't going to make her parents suffer by imposing the Death Sentence. Her answers that she wasn't all that close to them clears the way, IMO. Whether Jodi loves her parents unconditionally is not even what they asked. It's all about her again.

I think that these were great questions. I've wondered about her relationship with her parents/family a lot. Her father and sister haven't shown up in court since she tried to redeem herself for throwing them under the bus. Maybe her father can't because of his medical condition but the "stupid" sister hasn't since she testified about her.

Oh ok. Watch everyone show up tomorrow.

Is the picture of Juan in your Juantage from when he said, "And then he did a piroutte?"

 It is from that day, not exactly sure what the question was at that very moment.

I'm from British Columbia Canada. (It find it eerie Travis mentions it in the phone sex tape) and yes we do smoke alot. ;)

I would!

It's been a LONG time since I was in 6th grade geography class but... I always thought Nevada was between CA and UT.

Please share whatever it is you're going to smoke!!

Correction: No she didn't fill up the infamous gas cans, just gas in the rental and this was at the Utah-Nevada border.

She didn't fill the gas cans? Have you been watching the trial?

  • #765
She could have filled up the cans in Utah or Nevada
coming home

I'm guessing that this didn't come up on cross since no one seems to be sure.

This person says it's on the HLN timeline. Have you seen this timeline? You are pretty adamant that she didn't fill the cans on the way back. Has this come up in the trial? I didn't see all of the cross.

I'm only saying that Utah does not border California ....I'm happy to provide a link if you need conformation of the geography of the USA

:jester:

:tsktsk: Yeah, well, she snuck in a new improved grabbing the shelf in the closet lie today.

We gained a grabbed the shelf, but lost a holster on the gun.

Please do it again, Jurors. :poke:

Surely it was examined for fingerprints, right? :)

Jean C has lost her ever loving mind. She just said on NG that today's question and answer help JA's case. Good Grief.

Thanks for the correction.

I wondered this as well. So far no one has answered.

I know that she was looking toward the jury's direction as she has done consistently while answering questions on the stand, regardless of who's been posing them to her.

The courtroom is reportedly so large that it's not usually possible to tell if she's attempting to establish/maintain eye contact with one juror in particular.

I heard she looked right at them the whole time. Probably put out a hit on the one that said she was controlling and the other one that said she had a mental condition (she slashed the tires of the one that asked the 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 question)

That's an excellent point.

Seriously, I have had occasion (read stupidity) to crank off a couple .22 rounds without ear protection -- outside -- and my ears rang for an uncomfortably long time. Once when I lived in Golden Valley, AZ I emptied a .357 with ears in the nude and I heard an A tone for the rest of the day.

But in an enclosed space with tile floors and walls, with a small handgun that isn't going to damp any sound for jack?

And she remembers hearing dialogue? From a guy who was just functionally hit in the forehead with a sledgehammer? Who would have his sinuses immediately filling with blood?

Garbage.

this is a great post. hopefully there are jury members with gun knowledge. jmo

Maybe she meant de-deify?? lol

de·i·fy (d-f, d-)
tr.v. dei·fied, dei·fy·ing, dei·fies
1. To make a god of; raise to the condition of a god.
2. To worship or revere as a god: deify a leader.
3. To idealize; exalt: deifying success.

I think she's meaning to use deify everytime she says edify and de-edify, that is if she wants it to make sense in the context she's using it. She says edify in the context of boosting TA's image, but edify means to basically impart an understanding of a subject (usually moral or religious). Ed-ify think the imparting of education. She's meaning to say she's canonize him, but ends up saying she's illuminating others on him as a moral or religious type subject. Guess that's what you get for trying to learn big words in the big house!

I'm not a linguist, so if I'm wrong and there's another meaning of edify that fits her context please forgive me as I'm not aware of one.

No, lol. I just want to know if she filled the gas cans on the way back to CA.
But thank you for the offer!

and the robber held a gun to his head-qualifies for me!

Please help me understand why this story was a near death experience for Travis. I think of it more as a premonition. Set me straight okay?:

:laughcry: The horrible anger Jodi described of Travis hitting her car got questioned too. :giggle:

Turns out he was frustrated in Los Angeles traffic, and as almost any normal person does stuck in traffic for any length of time yelled his frustration at no one in particular and maybe pounded the steering wheel and door. Travis was normal, but Jodi has an abnormal perception of what constitutes real anger and abuse, IMO.

Of course it did. If that was one of about six incidents she relayed, it was lame at best. He was beating on the windows and on the middle of the steering wheel (and this car didn't have a horn in the middle of the steering wheel) but it all just frightened her to bits?

Bleh.

She has a very strange compass of sensibilities. This guy can forcibly take her in the arz and she will go right on ticking but he gets road rage and she's flabbergasted?

Just saw a clip of JA answering a juror question about why she took a photo of the t-shirt and shorts.

She explains that she was hearing rumors about her being obsessive, that her time was up soon (before arrest), she said, "I knew I would be arrested," and she realized that the clothing would 'look bad' but they meant something to her so she took a pic before disposing of them.

She KNEW she was going to be arrested.
She knew it was not a matter of 'if' but 'when'.
She probably knew these things from the first phone call with Det. Flores.

so...

She decides to buy a .9mm, hide it in her engine, pack her car with books, clothes and 2 hidden knives - and contemplate going on a gold-panning trip with 5 guys...

Who buys a .9mm if they know they're about to be arrested for murder?
Someone who's not afraid of the gold-panning guys, but someone who's preparing to flee.

In that answer, she botched the "why I got the gun" story, and decimated the gold-panning sketchy guys camping trip.

Leaving the one real scenario - escape.
jmv.

JMO
She totally took pictures as souviniers and momentos. I truly think she bought those little boy shorts for herself to impress Travis and surprise Travis in one of their sexual encounters.

She always turns things that she did around and blamed it on Travis.

In her own words, "she knew they would look bad" so she got rid of the clothes and took some pictures. Later on when they were confiscted she came up with story to twist it on travis.

Don't the new questions need to go through the same process as the current ones before they can be presented to Jodi?

Yep. .....

Sociopaths don't feel or understand jealousy. That's why she can so quickly state that she was not jealous. I don't think she was. TA threatened to expose her as a lying scheming sociopath. IMO - that's why JA killed him. He likely did "corner" her on her behaviours and threatened to expose her on the fertile PPL/Mormon "field of dreams" that she had found herself in! Lot's of alternate "targets" ready for the picking...He was threatening her livelihood (ability to move on within the same community) and as such, she had to obliterate him.

moo

Agree. I think that what appears to be jealousy is nothing of the sort, but is a deep sense of possessiveness, ownership, control and entitlement. That can look like jealousy on the surface, but it's far more destructive.

She didn't love or care about Travis - just what (she believed) Travis and his life could give and benefit her. She was not going to be denied. Sadly, we see the result.
