I think JA thinks edify is the verb form of edifice (?)

Edifice is a noun derived from the verb edify I believe. Minor4th is correct, JA is using the word incorrectly and inappropriately.

I'll interrupt this little hijacking/scolding/offtopicing for one moment to just reiterate this one critical piece of information from today before I head off to sleep.

Juan Martinez touched my left shoulder , smiled at me and spoke to me personally today.

Aint nobody got time for nothin else than THAT!

Nobody of course refers to me.

:seeya: Nite everyone...see ya from the courtroom tomorrow.

PS if you get a chance still check out KatieDDJ's comments tonite on Dr. Drew show...i thought they were so insightful and just brilliant really!

But, I think she was so viciously jealous of MiMi because she thought Travis really liked her and thought he had found the woman of his dreams... I don't think she knew that Mimi didn't feel the same way about Travis, and that she just wanted to be friends...

I agree that Jodi didn't believe it was "just as friends" either. I don't think ANYTHING would have convinced her. Nothing at all. But, I think that's where she possibly got the babysitter angle. Travis might've presented the trip that way to Mimi to take the pressure off.

She filled up the gas cans on June 6 in Nevada after she visited Ryan

Why didn't she return the gas cans to Darryl? I thought she didn't. Do we know what happened to them?

Her affect is so flat. Also, she doesn't realise that a more realistic answer to "were you jealous that Travis was taking another woman to Cancun" is yes. it would have been a normal emotion to have. IMO she thinks denying what's normal makes her seem less guilty and the opposite is true.

It's like the time my son and I were the only ones in the house and there were cookie crumbs on the coffee table and I asked him if he'd been eating a cookie and he replied, 'I don't like cookies.' uh huh, sure.

She's like a child denying the obvious.

IMO

Going as far back as the "48 Hours" interview, I noticed that Jodi gets touchy when the subject of Cancun comes up. She's verrrry defensive about the subject.

The few times Cancun has come up in the trial, I've seen these tiny dimple-dents suddenly appear above her eyebrows. They are signs of tension about discussing a sore-spot. And she always has an annoyed undertone, where normally she's so cool and breezy.

Cancun is really tough for her to talk about, yet I no longer think it was her ultimate trigger. I think Cancun was the painful writing on the wall. But when he wrote that she was a sociopath who'd scammed him etc. -- and then probably didn't answer her calls anymore -- those were the insults that sealed Travis' fate.

Is there evidence Jodi spoke to Travis before arriving June 4? She said it was @2 min call. that's enough time for Travis to tell her never to call again.

it must have been the word of the day in her calendar

I haven't used my child to be passive-aggressive. I posted what she said for the OPPOSITE reason. If I say I don't think this chit is funny, it might be construed as based on my perceived bias. She has none. I don't think I have either, as respects the "🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬" thing, for example, but her take on it is bound to be more pure than mine just because she has no interest in this board or what y'all think whatsoever. Kinda like people posting what their husband's or bf's think.

UGH. Your post used your kid to get our what your post couldn't say. ICK.

On that note. :bedtime:

Darryl said she did not return them, and we have not heard what happened to them. As far as I know - no one has asked yet.

I'm going to bed. The boards better when we get silly late night...after dealing with the horror of this trial all day, I look forward to a few laughs to unwind.

I really don't like it when it gets like this.

I'll like it again as soon as she's sitting in her death row cell:)

One shot would probably attract attention of the neighbors like "what was that?" A second shot would confirm it was gunfire.

It'd be nice if someone thought to ask Gpa what make his .25 was so we could find out if it had a safety or not. JA hasn't mentioned anything about that (and she won't unless 'the' gun is found).

I read that the slide mechanism to chamber the bullet can cut people's hands. Might be interesting if we knew what he had.

The gun is bugging me for some reason. I wish someone would just find the bloody thing.

FYI in case you missed it, I've spent the whole evening on the court observer thread posting my notes from court today....check them out if you want. Now I'm too sleepy to post anywhere else but I WILL be in court again tomorrow. All day....:)

Thanks katiecoolady. On my way over there now.

Please before you go to bed, look at the pic above your post here. That might give you a little chuckle before bed. :seeya:

I went back and listened on the phone sex conversation just to make sure I had this right. She asks him if he was coming to visit her before he goes to Cancun. He said that's his plan and that she is at the top of the list. That call was May 10th. He didn't go. His email was hacked and he sent her text on May 25 or 26th telling her how upset he was. That’s the one he calls her a sociopath in. Her grandparents house was robbed and the .25 caliber gun was taken May 28th. I think the text from him set her off on the plan to kill him.

I never put that all together before but it makes sense. He was making some kind of threat to her, to tell people what she did I think and she must have decided then that he had to die. I can't remember, did the jury see that text message? If I were them I would ask what she did that got him so upset and hurt him so much. Not that she would answer truthfully or anything.

She sounded authentically nervous to me... Shocker, I know, but all I could think about what that voice mail* tape she left on Travis' cell hours after killing him.

I guess it's nerve-wracking* to lie to the faces of the people who have your life in their hands. Thankfully, that is one experience I will never have. Guess the suicide 'goal' has worn off.

The lack of emotion was damning - especially when she was failing at her attempt to show what happened using the floor plan. Stimulants tend to make people more animated, emphasizing emotion, generally imv...

I just think she was plain ol' scared witless.

I would seem awfully reckless and extremely unlikely imv that she would be given stimulants for one day, especially this day and especially if she's not on them normally. jmv :)

*these should be one-word words. jmv

I was actually kidding about the uppers. I am not an expert on personality disorders, but don't know if Jodi has the ability to be scared. I think her behavior today was a reflection of her lies, manipulation and psychoses.

I disagree. People can distinguish between humor and serious discussion. I'm not crazy about some of the potty humor myself, but it doesn't diminish the valuable information here.

I'm also not crazy about the lectures about how to post and the proper tone to take, but that's just me.

No lectures. Just legitimate reactions. I thought it was interesting to view what the adults on this site think is humorous through the eyes of a young person who's watching the trial machinations from a distance. Interesting thing was, she usually disagrees with me on general principal due to her age, so I was completely expecting her to think that video was hilarious (I didn't share my view of it before hand as we watched it together).

Also, she thinks Jodi's guilty as he** and STILL doesn't find the video and the 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 references funny.
