100 questions from the jury: Arias answering on her 17th day on the stand #76

There were a couple of answers from JA today that I found truly disturbing and I wonder how the jury reacted.

Question had to do with "As I understand it now" responses to violence in the relationship with TA. Her answer was that time helped her understand his behavior was violent and with time, she has forgiven him (want to see actual quote). This smacked me in the gut; she slaughtered him and now she is forgiving him?

Couple of questions later, she was asked again about why she waited so long to tell the truth. Again, that same answer about feeling ashamed. I don't know if she has been coached to use that particular word, but it is not the right word for me, and I doubt that it is for the jury either.

Would you tell the truth if you were never arrested. Perhaps one of the few times she was truthful, "I honestly don't know." A lot of questions from the jury have to do with trying to determine her morals and conscience. IMO, her answers show she has none.

Why talk to 48 Hours and other programs. My stomach literally turned listening to her answer...she started off by saying it was not a big deal and went on this bent for a while. It almost sounded as if she was saying the murder was not a big deal. I need to listen to this again, but it hit me so, so wrong when I first heard it and I was left only with the negative impression.

Hope DA does not go over every question...can he see the forest for the trees? He is not feeling confident right now.

ETA: Oh, just realised you might mean Defence Attorney. I'm sorry if that's the case. I thought you were meaning District Attorney

JVM on HLN just saying if jury believes she is guilty why wold they bother asking 200 questions? Can anyone say: to irritate Nurmi?!!!!!

For their conscience, to reaffirm what they already know, so they can find her guilty and not have it on their conscience.

I missed the morning session. Did they ask her if this was the first time she fired a gun? I am shocked in such a hurried state she could get it in her hand, figure out you actually need to it.. then pull trigger. I think she played with a handgun before even if unloaded, she figured out how to and pull the trigger, over and over, get a feel for it.

My first time shooting a gun (was a Remington 1100 Automatic Rifle) 3 men were surrounding me and I recall about 6 hands on that bad boy. (ear plugs in) But they cocked it for me (it was big, and heavy, I recall I may not have been strong enough to pull the big thing back that it? I don't know the name of it) OR when I started to do it, I think I got on one knee, to balance the rifle on the butt of the rifle) whatever! scared them all they came running.. they cocked it for me and handed it to me ready to pull the trigger.. Only they decided to hold it with me (WHAT! i was not a baby, i was 27 !!)

I got a shot off. Ok, woah. that hurt. Then i did it on my own.. I'm a great shot but at 9 shots, my arm was about to fall off and I could feel nothing.. too big a thing for me.. Handgun more my speed.

He was an 'advisor' in that, he is not licenced to practice law in Aruba. I really think it was because he might get some extra media attention.

Ahhhh! Wonder if he is pulling in the same big bucks in with being an advisor to the poor family who just lost the newborn baby after both it's parents were killed in a hit and run in NY.

I still resent Judge Perry for not following through on getting Biaz brought up to the board in Florida.

The question about JA being unscathed while Travis was stabbed and had his throat cut open made me cry. This is a slam dunk case. Poor Travis. Imagine if he could actually watch all that is going on? Like that novel about a young girl who is raped and murdered? She can actually see everything that is happening post-murder. His heart would break that not only was he brutally murdered but that the worst of the worst accusations are being hurled at him.

Rest in peace, Travis.

You've summed it up nicely. This guy was just enjoying the physical side of things so much, knowing JA was not marriage material, I feel so sorry for him. I wished he would have kicked her to the curb, changed locks and locked his door - got rid of the doggy door, even.

JA felt the best when they were physical, that his focus was solely on her and she rocked his world all day, with hopes of going to Cancun instead of Mimi. Travis must have said no and she murdered him. Seeing his siblings in the courtroom breaks my heart.

I was really hoping that a juror would start to think of her as a 'stalker' and ask her if she ever did what a stalker might do:

are you a stalker? yes or no
have you ever showed up in person or called when Travis was out with some girl?
did you ever vandalize Travis' property?
did you ever vandalize property of a girl when she was with Travis?

I kept sending brain waves to the Phoenix court-room but Jodi was scrambling them, I guess, so I couldn't get through. lol

Or, had you been drinking on June 4th. We presume she was a mormon, but I really don't see any evidence of that. Simple question - was she stoned out of her mind? That would be my question.
