Well, she wasn't going to say, "No way in hell", which I'm sure is the truth...

And neither is what she has said on the witness stand. No truth at all.

the edify and de-edify thing is so funny because like everything else she says, it sounds so fake and unnatural when she says it...doesn't sound right from her..normal people may continue to use these words, just not Frapp girl..

I agree. I think she thinks when she uses big words that it makes her sound smart and sophisticated, but I think it really just makes her sound like she's trying to make herself sound smart. Especially when after she uses those big words, she says things like, "say what"? to the prosecutor! I think she totally tailors everything about herself (language, appearance, sexual preferences, etc...) to fit with whatever situation or type of people she's with. She has no sense of self-she just mimics others around her.

She reminds me of a female Ted Bundy but not as smart (even though she thinks she is!).

I bet with Juan's experience in serious trials like this one and with juror's asking questions, that he did not provide the more damning evidence today of the 3 gas cans because he knew that at least 1 juror would ask something regarding this 3 gas cans and JA would lie right to them. I think JA being caught in a lie directly answering to a question of the jurors is VERY detrimental to whatever sympathy she could have been gaining by being on the stand for so long. I think having juror questions makes JA's response that much more critical to the jury because it is much more personal, IMO.
So I feel like Juan knew a question would be asked regarding the gas cans, that JA would like and then in his cross (or whatever it is referred to?) after the juror questions he could introduce the heavier evidence of 3 gas cans to prove (IMO) she is LYING to them.
I think he knew the jury would be infinitely more appalled by her lies when she lied directly to them. I am not sure if I am making sense, lol! This happens a lot.. I have such a fluttery mind I am always losing track of my train of thought haha so, bear with me peas!

Hey! Where were you on June 4, 2008?

A good lawyer usualy never asks a question to a defendant unless he already knows the answer and can prove it's right or wrong.
When Juan first started asking jodi questions in cross a lot of people were wondeing why he didn't finish up with some of the questions.
The answer to that is that he will bring up the subject later on in the trial as kind of a surprise so to speak.
Juan knows the answer to a lot of things that he can prove. He will ask the defendant some questions and if they answer wrong and he has the proof already he may not say anything until the end of the trial then he will bring up all the things that he can prove was a direct lie.
This gives the jury a bad taste in their mouths as the defendant has lied to them and a conviction is more likely
Have faith in the prosecution he has a lot of time yet to tighten the noose yet.

When a reasonable person used common sense and the totality of the evidence... Juan's already proved it beyond a reasonable doubt. IMO

What airport was Travis and friends flying out of to Cancun?
Who lives in Sacramento? Anywhere near Gus? Would Jodi of gone along as a friend of Gus's on the trip?

But I thought there was another time when she was asked about that cut and said that JA had told someone it happened at Margaritaville (which didn't exist) and she then JA said no, that the cut was from a Margarita glass and the person (Ryan Burns I think), was confused, it was from a margarita glass, not margaritaville.

But then I could just be totally wrong, I'm so confused by all her lies!

I remember that, too. She changes her stories quite a bit.

Good question! I have this image of JM, by his constant questioning about Matt implicitly intimidating her, theatening to smear her name and reputation through Matt, like she threatened to smear Travis if she didn't get her plea deal.

Wouldn't JA know what was going on with MM? She is allowed visitors.

That was Ryan. I'll go look for his testimony from our links here. BBL.

I have a question - wouldn't it be impossible to Travis to speak after the gun shot wound in his head that ended up in his check? I mean the words that JA alleges he said. Or would he only be able to maybe scream and moan.

If you believe the medical examiner that testified ... And I do... It would have been impossible for him to do much of anything after being shot. The ME also said the shot came last.

Oh. My. God. I have been in a meeting ALL day today but just heard on the radio that Jodi Arias says she only lied to cover up her involvement in Travis's death?? :floorlaugh: Seriously? Did that really happen? Does she understand she's telling the jury through that answer that they should NOT believe her because she's STILL covering up her involvement in Travis's death??

I hope Nurmi puts her on suicide watch now.

Not to be mean - but I don't. Maybe a jailer will throw her a bunch of razors.

Pensfan, it sounds as though you have Arias' "number." You are correct - if a mental health provider did give Arias a diagnosis, Arias would more than likely 'argue' with the mental health provider. She would say things such as "I do not want to deedify you. I'm an expert in many things: art, photography, religion, law, medical - in fact I am able to set broken bones. You are wrong about my diagnosis I will be happy to help you."

Jodi would never admit that she had a mental health problem even if she was diagnosed. She's perfect. If you asked her, she'd tell you that too. Ugh!
