yes and he said she used to sneak in his house and hide in his closet. he would come home from a date and find her sleeping in his bed. sometimes he would find her on the couch downstairs. besides hacking into email.

Don't you think if he found her hiding in his closet, he might move that 'gun'? :floorlaugh:

But, the Jury probably won't hear any of this.

They might, and I know where you are going with this question. It's been my experience that the transactions for gasoline purchases & inside slushie & cheeto purchases appear on the bank statement in a different formats. I only had WAMU for a very short time so I can't be positive about WAMU but I do know those transactions always appear that way on both BB&T & BOA statements in different formats.

I have previously posted that the 3rd Tesoro transaction for around $20 could have been for food and supplies and NOT for gasoline. I do not think the bank statement is specific on what the purchases were for. I doubt if JM will pursue this point anymore and just leave the subject by showing one could reasonably infer that JA bought an added 5 gal of gas.

that may be true, but they would have to scan the actual gas can for inventory. Again, they would have to have a money trail (return receipt) for them to show the shortage in the drawer.

And she HAD a receipt, she said they did not give her a return receipt. Ok, so she went back and didnt use her receipt to return the gas can, yes she could have still gotten a cash refund, but WalMart still would have scanned the can to place in back in inventory and a receipt to show where the cash amount went from the drawer.

This!

It's not so much about the receipt as it's about the lack of evidence for a returned gas can in the Walmart computers on the date in question. That's what Juan was referring to. Not to the receipts.

No receipt? No problem
We do accept returns without a receipt. You will have the option of a cash refund (if the purchase was under $25), a shopping card for the amount of the purchase (if it was over $25) or an even exchange for the product. Also, as applicable, we follow any manufacturer’s warranties.

I worked as a cashier, even in this case of giving someone cash or credit if the item is under $25 you would still have to get manager approval, especially when giving cash back. The manager must authorize the return. Also you would be given a receipt with the returned item omitted but reflecting your original purchases. Jodi's original receipt would show the gas can crossed out with the initials of the cashier who processed the refund. There would be a copy on file of this transaction for stock/inventory purposes. walmart doesn't play when it comes to loss prevention/shrink. No one is just gonna hand you cash or credit with no record of it going down. You can be written up and fired when your register is short or when you're missing receipts for returns. Its not a game. Jodi just expects everything proven to be just a coincidence. Knowing Juan, he's already spoke to someone at walmart and has the "receipts" on her lies.

Therefore giving WalMart a footprint of the can being returned that day - Juan said there was NO GAS CAN RETURNED AT ALL THAT DAY.

the walmart policy was in response to a poster that stated a customer could not receive cash....period...which was untrue

According to the posts of several websleuthers, the indoor store of the station is closed from 1-6am.

This third purchase strikes me much as the theft of her grandfather's .25 caliber handgun back in May 2008. The price of the gas per gallon divided into the total purchase equaling 5.08 gallons is as much of a coincidence as the theft of a gun from the house where Jodi had been living. I just don't believe in coincidences, only the illusion of them.

He must do more than just leave it out there, he needs to have a Walmart rep to testify to this in rebuttal. It would bury her!

I'm just really hoping it wasn't a bluff.

My apologize if this has already been posted. Wow how ironic TA is talking about a near death experience involving a gun. This gives me chills just to hear him explain how he felt during that time. :ohwow:

TA's friend says how Jodi was antisocial and it's very apparent in this video. What is more important is how she lied (is this the one millionth lie now?!) saying TA didn't show any affection toward her around people. :what: so WTH do you call this? She makes me quite ill and angry. This video says so much. Too bad it couldn't be used to show the jurors for the one millionth and one time Jodi lied. I'm sure they're very aware of many of her lies. I would like to see the whole video Dr. Drew.

Gotta run, lunch date.

I agree that JM may be sitting on the "smoking gun". He wants her to LIE about what she bought with the 19.65. And when she does, bingo bango, evidence for the actual items showing GAS purchase is entered! If he had revealed all his cards then, she could have possibly lied her way out of it, like for example claiming that the 5 gallons of extra gas did not go in a gas can.

That's a really good point. What if they got information from the gas station about the transaction to find out exactly what it was for? I worked as an assistant manager at a gas station when I was a teenager, it wasn't the same company, but I can't imagine things being that different at other stores. I just remember having to run tons of reports and there were some things we had to take inventory of at least once a day. Gas, cigarettes and lottery tickets. When there were driveoffs they knew who approved those transactions and kept track of how many driveoffs each person had. I know that all of these places might not have the same system, but this was about 15 years ago when I worked at a gas station so I'd image they could tell you exactly what she bought, especially if they asked them soon after this happened.

About the third gas-can.

I really think she originally lied to give a nonchalant presence and perhaps deflect attention away from this Walmart purchase because (to me) the Sunblock w/bronzer was more telling of a possible story than the gas can. (I think she anticipated going to Cancun and bronzing your white skin so not to look like a tourist, fits in but..........)

I think all these receipts were found by search warrants and subsequently, questioned.
I can picture Flores saying something like: "Why did you need a gas can Jodi?".....and Jodi's flippant retort was something like: "Oh, that?...oh I returned it because it wasn't practical for my budget"
Something like that.
And this line of questioning was BEFORE they found out about the borrowed gas cans from Daryl.

So once again if I'm right, her petty and inconsequential lies come back to bite her in the 🤬🤬🤬. Because at this point...knowing all there is, having that third gas-can does diddly to her story. It really makes no difference EXCEPT....to now show how she lies with conviction, ease and flair.

I know but it doesn't list the specifics. There is a whole process to refunding/returning items. I'm not doubting your link, I'm just giving info on what happens when you make a return. Walmart doesn't lay out cashier/stock/inventory procedure from that link. I just wanted to give the details. No snark here :)

The actual refund isn't the problem here, it's the fact that Walmart has NO record of such RETURN. She didn't return it, regardless of whatever their policies are.

Jeanine Driver (my new BFF) said tonight on Dr. Drew that THAT Freudian slip was the ultimate...kudos to the juror question which elicited that response!

I agreed! I wrote it down when I heard it, along with "protecting his (Travis) ego...er...reputation".

:waitasec: But...but Jeanine Driver is my new BFF......lol.

Oh my gosh, the slip about "NO FEAR" sinks JA's claim of self-defense. Love it!!

Does it say that on her bank statement?
