Sorry of this is late but if the national media is not local to the story then they would be using the local media's equipment....which would result in double the equipment....some for the locals and then some more from the locals that is probably being used by the nationals.

So you can thank the parents for only wanting the national media around for doubling up the equipment and vehicles.
Nope not doubling. From what I can see they each have separate equipment and reporters.

Yellow ribbons everywhere around here.

Every time I hear about a missing child, I tie an imaginary yellow ribbon around the Norway Empress Maple in our front yard (that I can see as I'm on the computer). If I put real yellow ribbons 'round the tree trunk, it would be completely covered now with so many missing person cases that I've followed over the last 8-10 years.

Thoughts, prayers, and hope that little Lisa if found soon.

But, if you could go to a different grocery store where the people were less rude, you would, right?

Anything that the family says to national news will be picked up by the local media. The national media might not go to the local guys to get info. So, it makes sense for them to only speak to National. It gets out faster and to many many more people at one time. I don't think it's suspicious. Also, the venues they have been on are not likely to pay them (at least no more than plane tickets and a hotel room) so I doubt that they are withholding info to sell to the highest bidder. And, as nasty as the local media has been to them I can see why they would choose this.

I think that for every "suspicious" action there is a perfectly good explanation so far. It may not be how we would handle things, but don't we owe it to these people to give them the benefit of the doubt? If they did not do anything to cause the disappearance of their daughter, then what the family is going through from the media and armchair detectives is practically sadistic.
Thank you!

It is going to be tricky because they are both on at the same time.

2pm WV time is 1pm KC time.

Who is giving the afternoon PC: the family or LE?

Probably won't be TES. Not enough cameras in Kansas City to accomodate both Bill Stanton and Tim Miller.

As unhelpful as you find the Anthony case comments I have to say that I think the same about the Tim Miller comments, I've noticed a few recently that seem irrelevant and a bit mean.

Regarding the signs, what if they were made by the boys? Maybe they asked what they could do to help? Maybe it was a family "arts and crafts" time, but that's ok....

I wonder how much DB followed that case. I guess they can't get her computer without a warrant right?

Sure they can. If she gave them permission to search it. My guess is, judging from the early LE information, the family allowed them to search their computers and anything else that might shed light on what happened to the baby.

If the family had said "nope - you can't look at the computer" and forced a subpoena, LE would not have been so quick to report how much the family was cooperating.

BBM

Yeah but then you come up with the reverse situtation. A video gets out of Momma with a man in a grocery store buying wine. (Locals got that, not national) They can't go to Momma and say what's up, cause Momma isn't talking to them. They can't say this is Momma's brother without some type of positive confirmation. And Momma and I would guess Brother aren't talking. LE wasn't saying. So they have to run with what they had. Momma and "an unidentified man." Makes it look even worse. And it was already bad enough with Momma buying wine on the night her baby goes missing.

The truth is often a harsh mistress.

O/T but

I've been trying to think of who BS reminds me of, and it just now came to me...Tony Danza.

Any pictures of the cards the family was hanging in the trees to thank people.

I am a huge fan of Tim, so some of the comments have rubbed me the wrong way as well.

Just seems hypocritical to me - you've asked people to keep out the Anthony chat.

I got the joke, but seriously...when I saw the kids walk out with the posters, the first thing I thought was, "Did they draw the short straws?". They looked alittle like they were marching out to a firing squad or something.

I didn't watch the p/c, but when you all say "kids", do you literally mean kids? If so, shouldn't they be in school right now?

THAT would be a perfectly reasonable explanation to a somewhat odd behavior.

Thank you! That was driving me batty trying to think who it was.
