A clear consistent story that does not change over 3 police interviews is admissible evidence. The state would need evidence to disprove Zimmerman's story...

Disagree. When he says "OK" to the 911 dispatcher after being advised not to follow, and his statement to the cops that he was back at his vehicle says otherwise.

I haven't seen any statement Zimmerman made other then he said he shot him and he was yelling for help and nobody helped him.

IMO, It was only a matter of time before Zimmerman killed someone. Trayvon was at the wrong place at the wrong time. He didn't have a chance. Zimmerman had "fed up issues" and was tired of these f'ing ***** "getting away." You can choose to pick which ever word you felt Zimmerman said, but he said it in disgust. He was done! He was fed up! Trayvon was the one!

IMO, if Zimmerman is not arrested, charged, and prosecuted for Trayvon's death, he should never be allowed to own a gun or have any kind of authority over a neighborhood ever again. I believe he will kill again. He is not stable.

All the evidence so far points to GZ's story being accurate. I doubt he's a criminal mastermind able to fool the police or convince them to cover for him.

What I have seen and heard so far is varied and conflicting witness accounts which do not agree on who was yelling help, who was attacking who and how GZ behaved afterwards and varied and conflicting media reports describing GZ's purported account of what happened.

Forty year old women generally don't listen to a style of music that advocates violence and a life of crime. They don't generally live or practice that culture. That comparison is a little disingenuous. JMO
First, It's a little presumptuous, and not a little offensive, to assume you know what type of music I listen to, or what culture I practice, since I am the forty year old woman who wrote the post you quoted. Second, seeing me on the street with my hood up wouldn't allow you to see anything about my culture. Third, you are dead wrong. My favorite hoodie is a band hoodie decorated with the logo for Whole Wheat Bread which happens to be a rap/punk band made up of young black men from south Florida. I am a middle-aged pale-skinned white woman who is kind-hearted, pacifistic, and law-abiding. I drive a mom-van. Stereotypes kill. Moo

I heard a voice mail from him to one of his friends. I''m thinking it was on Dateline.

GZ is an over zealous wannabe cop who got in over his head while stalking Trayvon.

Trayvon paid with his life for GZ's stupidity.

IMO all the evidence points to GZ is guilty of negligent homicide. As far as a hate crime goes, I'll let a jury decide that one (but it doesn't look good for GZ).

My mom is a 56-year-old White woman and she loves rap! She especially like Eminem, who I can't stand, and I love Outkast, Goodie Mob, etc...

I never said that a tattoo alone does. It all does. His appearance, his demeanor, everything.

Well....just to be accurate and honest here.... for the past two weeks there have been a few hundred tall, thin, young black youths spread out around the country. A good majority of them have tattoos, I would bet that most, if not all of them, walk around wearing earphones, talking on their phones and wearing hoodies meant to signify themselves as part of a group that they identify with and that they pride themselves upon being a part of......I am pretty sure most of them have walked alone on a public sidewalk at night (very suspicious) going to and from their temporary residences......often they do this with their hoods up in rain.....and darkness......

FWIW.....I have just described the attire and behavior of hundreds of young men who have been playing basketball in the NCAA/NIT tournaments.....

I haven't seen any statement Zimmerman made other then he said he shot him and he was yelling for help and nobody helped him.

But we have all kinds of people making statements for him Lee said that he was attacked from behind, while returning from attempting to see a street sign...which is odd considering where the confrontation took place.

Now we have the story of TM suddenly stepping into his path and saying you've got a problem now and punching him in the nose and putting him on his keister long enough for a kid to jump on him and attempt to kill him with his bare hands....

Who knows how many different incarnations any statement by Zimmerman might morph through ....it would be nice to see the real one, the one he made that night that is sworn to.

You are right, I think I heard the same one. He never stated any details I remember in that call.

Apparently only major crimes (violent felonies from what I understand) would be contained on such a record. JMO

I believe it was stated serious felonies. Which would include alot of crimes such as property crimes. There are alot of minor crimes which qualify as felonies. Which Trayvon does not have.

Apologies. He was headed back towards his vehicle.

Zimmerman told them he lost sight of Trayvon and was walking back to his SUV when Trayvon approached him from the left rear, and they exchanged words.

Trayvon asked Zimmerman if he had a problem. Zimmerman said no and reached for his cell phone, he told police.

Trayvon then said, "Well, you do now" or something similar and punched Zimmerman in the nose.

Zimmerman fell to the ground and Trayvon got on top of him and began slamming his head into the sidewalk, he told police.

Zimmerman began yelling for help.

Several witnesses heard those cries, and there's been a dispute about from whom they came: Zimmerman or Trayvon.

I respectfully disagree. If he is not charged he has every right to finish his schooling and have a career in law enforcement.

How ironic as the NWP rules and guidelines promote "crime prevention" and what we ended up with is a crime that COULD have been prevented if only someone had followed those rules. jmo

THIS is what she be getting more focus, IMO.

I was thinking about this case all morning and this is one of the things I really think needs to be addressed. THIS is exactly why we have a dead 17 yr. old kid and, presumably, a man who is suffering the unspeakable consequences (both personally and publicly) of murdering him, whether he thought he was doing it for the right reasons or not. Bottom line, there is a 17 yr. old kid that is now deceased and it did not have to happen.

http://www.seminolestate.edu/criminal-justice/college-credit/asdegree/

General law enforcement, correctional or correctional probation techniques and procedures.
Criminal investigations.
Community relations.
Emergency medical practices.
Legal issues.
Modern law enforcement technology.

Looks to me as if there was some coverage of legal issues. We cannot know how extensive that coverage is but since GZ also had a permit to carry, I am pretty sure that anything regarding lawful use of a weapon would have caught his attention. IMO MOO and all that jazz

GZ was in the general education program at Seminole state college. He was not in the criminal justice program regardless of what he told his friend.

It all goes to pointing towards that individual being a player in a certain lifestyle choice, yes. Whether it's relevant or not is unclear.

That's stereotyping as well...IMO

I'd beg you to take another look.
