I'd call getting charges like "assault on a LE officer" expunged one heck of a second chance.

Divine intervention. LE call it a "courtsey call". jmo

So did GEORGE ZIMMERMAN? That's probably one of the most ironic things I've read in a while...

How do you figure? He was charged with something and did "his time" by going through a diversion program. Some other charge came up later that obviously led to nothing; it may have very well been a he-said-she-said matter. I'm not sure where all of these "second chances" are you're speaking of.

This is playing out like the Duke Lacrosse Hoax.

Wonder if he asked anyof those witnesses if they caught anything on their cell phones? This was brought up last night or this morning.

JMHO

I think what he is describing is the story Mary C is telling but the way I understood her story, is when she saw GZ standing on top of TM, TM was already dead.

I really hope we will not advocate whether someone should be arrested or not based on public opinion polls.

Or drag them into the public square because the panthers have a bounty on their head.

This is so out of control. This is how ditto heads were born.

On Nancy Grace just now, "When did Trayvon lose his stand your ground right?" Excellent question!

  • #807
on the 911 tape that I listened to it sounded to me like an AA male screaming for help saying OMG, Help!. but it was hard to tell.

Anyways, TM is a victim and he did not deserve to die. Weather or not GZ did the right or wrong thing.

Bottom Line: TM did not deserve to die.

Why is that? The prosecutor decided to let him go through a diversion program. It's not like he just magically got the charges dropped.

Are any of you watching Nancy Grace right now? Steve Helling said that he has spoke to 3 people that told him they came out of their house and they saw Zimmerman pinning Trayven face down into the sidewalk and that Travyon was screaming. They said that Zimmerman had no injury and he was not bleeding or showing any sign of injury. And at this point I believe Steve over the police because he reported on the Casey Anthony case and was never wrong. Steve also said it was not in the police report either that Zimmerman was injured.

Well, they obviously missed GZ's head injuries and his broken nose.

So, there you go. If there were ACTUAL witnesses who saw this, they would also have seen what happened to cause GZ his injuries. He was injured.

So are they imagining, while they watched, that he injured himself?

GZ's friend claimed her recognized GZ's voice as the one was was screaming.

They are all lying Willen, all of those witnesses are lying. Zimmerman was being pummeled by the 6 feet 3, 140 lbs kid. There's no way that can happen.

Even if not on video, it's a gated community - he would have needed a card, or code, or remote to open the gate - should be a record of that. (not sure why it matters; we know Martin was an invited guest, and was inside the community.)

This is what I believe happened and I am only stating it as my opinion.

Trayvon walks into the complex (should be on video tape).

Maybe we first should figure out what these witnesses are saying. Mary C did claim she saw GZ standing on top of TM, but I am pretty sure that was after the shot, not before.

How does one shoot another in the chest when that person is face down? :waitasec:

What does "deserve" mean here? One punch to my head, and I'm thinking I "deserve" to live. If I were packing heat, whoever punched me in my head even ONCE would be shot. Because I "deserve" to live.

Why would someone with a gun be screaming for help? That makes no sense! Why would GZ be screaming like that since he was the aggressor?

Exactly. It makes no sense unless you take GZ's (and the eye witness) account that GZ was on the ground and TM was on top of him. Then, it makes sense. But if one is disregarding that in favor of the non-eye witness and delayed (by three weeks) accounts, then it's harder to understand.

I came to this case believing GZ was the aggressor. (And I still believe he should have stayed in his car.) But after reading the facts that are available, I believe that a case for self defense can be made as the law stands. IMO, there still isn't any excuse for shooting an unarmed teenager but I don't get to make the laws. (If I did, gun laws would be A LOT stricter.)

No, it wasn't divine intervention. He got into an argument with a guy who was not in uniform The charges were lowered and then dropped. As for the restraining order, the Judge granted one to both he and his ex-girlfriend and told them to stay away from each other.

The point is to tell the truth. That's the point.

It's likely, looking at the reality of Trayvon vs. how his parents portrayed him, it's likely GZ is completely and totally innocent of all these things that he's been threatened with death for.

It's likely that GZ saw something that a reasonable person would find suspicious, and in following him, got attacked and then had to defend himself with his gun.

It's likely.

I'm not playing devil's advocate. I'm playing GZ's advocate, and he's not the devil. And I've been doing this for a long time and now it appears there is reason to believe GZ over Trayvon's family.

I don't think it's likely at all. I think it's bullpuckey. If he had been spotted doing anything actually suspicious GZ would have reported it. I would stake my life on it. Walking slowly and looking about, that's what GZ claimed was suspicious. His dead body was found with tea and candy on it. Not screwdrivers, women's jewelry, marijuana pipes, or paint. Even kids who may have made (totally nonviolent) poor choices deserves to walk to the 7-11 without being chased and killed.moo

No. Pedestrians can come in, just not cars. There was a MSM map of where he might have come in, and it was behind houses, kind of through the woods, not the usual road.

Which is fine, really, if you have walked away to get skittles and tea.

It's all unclear.
