That video that was posted just proved GZ was not badly beaten!!!!!!!IMO JMHO

I don't see 1 drop of blood, I see no blood on the back of his head...but the video isn't the best quality!

If the Medical Examiner says it's broken do you think she did it?

Has an autopsy report been released? Where are you guys getting the info on the color of GZ's t shirt, etc. Thanks. (Had to take psycho dog for a walk!)

I do know that Zimmerman shot and killed an INNOCENT Trayvon Martin. That is a fact! It doesn't matter if you don't like the facts. They remain the same. However, your slant againt the victim continues to vascillate.

Trayvon is the one who acted in self defense. Trayvon paid with his life to an over zealous wannabe cop. Zimmerman is guilty of manslaugther and maybe more. Arrest Zimmerman!

jmo

We don't know that to be a fact at this point at all.

Opinion maybe but not fact.

OMG On JVM they had a congresswoman from Miami who just said TM had a broken nose and GZ did not have a broken nose...She said it was from autopsy report....Do not have link so will add IMO JMO

Was it Frederica Wilson?

Again, you don't know that. Burgleries, home invasions etc. often escalate, especially if drugs are involved. If you are familiar with the Petit family murders you will understand that burgleries can become murders, especially at night when people are home. It's impossible for you to say that only property would have been lost had TM been an actual perp.

Are you seriously trying to suggest that GZ saved people's lives?

:what:

No, it just makes more sense? Ya'll were so sure that it was Trayvon because he had a gray sweatshirt on. Now we see, in our own eyes, that Zimmerman has on a gray T-shirt? So I think that the same thing that applied to Trayvon's sweatshirt being mistaken for being white... could be applied to Zimmerman's T-shirt being white.

Everyone wanted to call the witnesses liars? Maybe they weren't lying about a T-shirt?

The only thing I was sure of was that witness had to be mistaken about the color of shirt. Which clearly is the case.
Nobody had on white t-shirt.
At least admit being wrong about that.

OK well you can go on asserting that you know exactly what happened. I am not vascillating I'm throwing out different hypotheticals BECAUSE WE DON'T KNOW WHAT WENT DOWN EXACTLY and you don't know no matter how steadfastly you claim to.

Whether or not GM committed a crime or acted in justifiable self defense depends on THE FACTS, much of which we don't know.

So if you want to guess and stand by it, go for it, but I'm peace out. Those proclamations only add fuel to a fire that is possibly ---- possibly, unnecessary.

Not quite the end of story.

If the EVIDENCE shows it could have been self defense, and GZ says it was self defense, can not convict GZ for murder.

To convict, the evidence would have to show, WITHOUT A SHADOW OF A DOUBT, that It wasn't self defense.

Nothing in a criminal court has to be proven "WITHOUT A SHADOW OF A DOUBT". The criminal standard is "beyond a reasonable doubt" and any courtroom I've ever been in has made that precise point that "beyond reasonable doubt" is NOT "beyond a shadow of a doubt". You are in Louisiana, right? I believe your law is based in Napoleonic code, so maybe things are different there. But in most of the country, "beyond a shadow of a doubt" is not the standard.

MOREOVER, at least in California, "self-defense" is an affirmative claim, meaning the burden of proof actually shifts to the defendant. So the defendant must prove he acted in self-defense "beyond a reasonable doubt"; the DA (in theory) doesn't have to do a thing. (In practice, however, a DA will present evidence that contradicts the self-defense claim.)

Now as for Florida, don't we have some Florida lawyers here? The "Stand Your Ground" law seems to have changed what I just described. Some posters here believe it only applies to the arrest, requiring LE to show probable cause (an even lower standard) that the self-defense claim is false. I'm wondering if that is really all the law requires...

Do a Google Images search for broken nose. It's not always apparent.

They said his nose was bleeding... I see no blood on his shirt? I wasn't saying I could tell it wasn't broken... I said his face looks fine? It does?

I can't think of one hypothetical that justifies self defense to the tune of shooting a kid in the street in a situation you yourself engineered.

So now they were both wearing gray, but the one on top had to be Zimmerman because she said white t-shirt? Give me a break.

put 2 + 2 together. GZ is alive and well and his injuries were healed with a band aid. TM is dead and so far we have heard he has a broken nose. Give me a break?????

  • #1,014
My eyes are fine and I don't see anything that looks like his head was slammed to the concrete whatsoever. TM was the one with the broken nose!!!

The autopsy report has not been released yet.

I'm sure the congresswoman misspoke.

Why in the world would Zimmerman be wearing that big old bulky coat in florida just running to the store in his car?

Why?

Funny, it sure was plausible and said highly likely the other day that a gray
" hoodie sweatshirt" could easily be mistaken for a white tshirt, but now a gray shirt can't be mistaken for a white tshirt? :waitasec:

showing the video on hln right now...maybe a bigger screen will help? Maybe it will only make it look more pixelated or whatever?

So's better to shoot everybody who walks at night because it's impossible for us to know that they're not going to break into anybody's house and kill someone. We'll save a lot of lives that way.

Funny how all of the sudden people that argued otherwise up until now starting to argue that gray in fact can be mistaken for white. Why do you think now that gray could look white and yet you didn't before?

Just as/after the officer was putting something in the trunk the officer standing next to GZ has him step away from the wall and looks at the back of GZ's.

EMT's must have cleaned him up real good, cause I see no signs of any injuries on him. ANd, we get a real good look at the back of his head.
