Yes half and half. according to the partial police report/ narrative the arresting officer says he overheard Zimmerman say he was calling for help and nobody would come. He does not say he overheard Zimmerman say he was making the blood curdling screams.

I agree. Many of the neighbors seem to have been traumatized by this event, especially if they heard that pitiful wail for help. It's like they have survivor guilt just having been innocent bystanders.

Zimmerman's version is that Trayvon saw his gun and tried to take it from him. Should Zimmerman have let Trayvon have the gun?

I thought Zimmerman's version was that he was returning to his truck when TM confronted him, decked him with a single punch, got on top of him and was slamming his head into the concrete, and Zimmerman pulled the gun to defend himself?

RIght now, it takes a tremendous amount of courage to say anything in defense of GZ. It could put your own life in danger, make you an outcast in your community. It certainly offers no advantage to the friend coming forward.

That gives these people credibility to me. More so than the ones who change their story that they gave to the police, to something the Media likes better.

And, if the purchases were put in a paper bag with the receipt...it was raining, who wants to carry a paper bag in the rain. He probably threw the bag way with the receipt inside. He's not going to carry a bag all that way to have it fall apart.. It makes sense he put the candy and ice tea in his pocket. jmo

My nieces and nephews regularly turn down bags for just a couple of items. And if they are going for a major shopping trip, they take reusable bags. I think the younger generation have been brought up to be aware of environmental issues and don't take bags unless they must.

Besides, for a young man walking along talking to his girlfriend a bag in one hand would be in the way - he needs his hands free for answering the phone or texting.

We don't yet have Zimmerman's statement to the police. I am not even sure that the guy who says he is GZ's lawyer is actually representing him, because some articles claimed something about this guy consulting GZ.

I believe that is his mugshot from like 7 years ago. I don't think Zimmerman released any other picture to the media because he is in hiding.



There is another picture of him in a tie but there is no information to back up it is a more recent picture or really him.

Yes, that's right. Some of it comes from brother, father, lawyer and police, but we don't have Zimmerman's statement to discuss.

Despite booking video from the Sanford Police Department that many say shows George Zimmerman largely unscathed from his encounter with Trayvon Martin, the neighbor said he saw Zimmerman with obvious injuries.

The neighbor is talking for the first time about what he saw on George Zimmerman's face less than 24-hours after Zimmerman shot and killed Trayvon Martin.

I have no idea whether he had legitimate injuries or not. I do make this observation though: bandages placed and seen the next day will not hold much if ANY weight in this situation. The "bumps" underneath the bandaids could have been contrived. His nose COULD have been broken that night after he got home from the police station. And the fact that this person says Zimmerman HAD TO HAVE acted in self defense shows that he is biased and therefore not of value as a witness.

No one knows whether GZ acted in self defense or not.

Does anyone know how long GZ's call to 911 lasted? That time isn't given.

From start of GZ's call to 911 call where gunshot is heard is approximately 7 minutes. I think The length of GZs call to 911 is important.

4 minutes 7 to 11 seconds - my measurement is eleven seconds, someone else said seven. I was using CD Wave, a readily available audio editing software to select clips and get measurements.

JMO since this is from memory and my own measurements.

All correct except that last part. Allegedly, Martin discovered the gun while they were in the struggle and Zimmerman felt it was either him or Martin at that point.

I don't know IF GZ is the one claiming it his him screaming, but I do know his brother was on TV and is claiming it is GZ.. He further elaborated....He knows it is GZ and the reason he knew that was because they have the same voice and he sounds just like that... Go figure...JMHO

As I recall, police report says something to the effect: Zimmerman claimed he was the one screaming for help but no one came to help him.

Hmmm, we saw him a mere 35-45 minutes after Trayvon's brutal murder, and he had absolutely no bandages on him anywhere. He must have some amazing powers to be able to heal that quickly.

Not everyone has the luxury of a fast PD response time. This especially applies to people in rural areas. What if this person manages to get inside your house and has more nefarious intentions than escape from some people chasing him? Most states now have castle laws that allow defense of habitation. If they wind up making it inside your house, you have every right to use deadly force.

Well, I did have that 80 pound German Shepard who was just dying to get out that door. I don't think anyone breaking into my home would have noticed the gun I was holding with Mr. Jaws-of-Life in their face. Point was my husband was saying if you have a gun be prepared to use it because in a struggle the gun could be used against you. In this case the gun was empty. Had someone else had a gun I'd be dead now because I was not prepared to use it, just wanted to scare them. jmo

2 things- where is the receipt for the skittles? Was it never found? Why?
This is a very dense neighborhood. There were several eyewitnesses. GZ had to assume people were watching the entire time. People saw George on bottom. Why would TM be screaming if he were on top?

I have never gotten a receipt is I was buying snacks with cash? Usually when paying with cash at a convienience store, you have to ask for a receipt. I would not ask for a reciept if I had only bought candy and ice tea? It's a waste of paper. However, if LE wanted to get a receipt of Trayvon's purchase, I am sure the 7-11 would be more than willing to go through their records to get it?

IMO, If Trayvon was trying to keep the gun from shooting him, even while on top, he could be screaming.
