Nope. Cause' those black males were actually did something to seem suspicious: They were committing a crime.

Trayvon's crime was being young, alone and black, IMO.

Not sure what you mean by "crime". GZ wasn't accusing him of a crime. He said he was acting suspicious. He also didn't realize Trayvon was black when he picked up the phone to call 911. It was dark, raining, and Trayvon had his hoodie on - all Zimmerman could see was someone walking through a courtyard instead of a sidewalk, appearing to be on drugs and looking around at the houses. Why wouldn't he call <modsnip>

IMO Why didn't the first officer at least check him ?Sounds like he waited for EMS.

Like I said, I know nothing about this sort of thing, but it almost sounds like they may have reason to think the efforts might do some good. The officer tried for a certain period and then paramedics took it over. I guess what I'm asking was he still alive?

How long would they typically try to revive what I had thought was a corpse at that point?

They will do CPR unless it's clear the person is dead and can not be brought back. People can be revived.

Thank you, Papa. I had no doubt before, but that is much clearer. No doubt whatsoever in my mind that it's "f'ing c**ns". None.

Maybe it depends on your computer speakers...but I certainly heard it. There was this "breaking news" blurb on NG tonight about GZ's attorney just said that if an indictment comes down GZ will turn himself in peacefully (not sure what that means) but I certainly hope he would not bring a gun. jmo

I wonder who Trayvon would have pulled for tonight in the college basketball championship? I bet he would be pulling for Kentucky. Bless his heart!! :(

Means that he will not try and resist arrest and that he will not flee.

He will go to the station and turn himself in.

If he gets charged.

I read in an earlier article that GZ told the police that night his Dad was a Magistrate and that his mother worked for the courts. So it is probably true that RZ didn't because he knew his son had already done so. MOO. Also, I have been bothered by the testimony of one witness who said the person screaming sounded like he was in pain. I wonder if we will ever know if the autopsy showed injuries on TM, consistent with a beating or maybe pistol whipped? What was causing the pain before he was shot dead? I believe I heard terror but also it sounded like something was happening to him. It is very likely that GZ was injured in the struggle but possibly TM was injured worse.

Do you have this link handy? If not I will try to find it. Thanks!

You can hardly hear it on the original tape. Then people are enhancing the tape but as a result the tape is being manipulated. So who knows what he said.

Totally OT but I love me some rap and hip hop music. I'm in my late 40s and I think it's absolutely awesome. My girls love that I can rap right along with them. I loved Tupac, love Lil' Wayne, TI, Busta Rhymes, not many out there that I don't love.

~jmo~

Me too and I am almost 60. I love rap and I always loved it when my kids were still at home and blasted their speakers with Lil Wayne and Biggy Smalls and Jay Z. They used to crack up when they came home to visit and I was still listening to it after they had moved out.:dance::earson:

Her saying TM said Why are you following me showed me that he made the first contact,Also I am not sure if she could tell what happened after she heard GZ ask what are you doing here. How can she be sure if it was a push and who pushed who?She is not an eyewitness .Wouldn't that be just her opinion? What really bothers me a lot is that TM had a phone if he knew he was being followed why not call 911 yourself? Also the GF did not call 911 after she knew he was being followed, heard that they now had words thinks she hears TM pushed and she did not call 911. I find that extremely odd. Most kids are taught at a very young age to call 911 and neither did.JMO.

There is no wrongdoing in asking an obvious stalker why they are following you.

TM likely had no time to make phone calls. First he was trying to run from the weird stalker guy. Then he may have tried to hide for safety. Remember he was on the phone with his gf, so he could speak very quietly or not at all while trying to stay safe. Not so with 911; he would have had to talk loud and clear, been able to think clearly to give specific information while his heart was probably pounding out of his chest. In walking through in my mind's eye what Trayvon was experiencing, there is no way I could fault him for not calling 911. And we are talking about a flash of time from the time he knew Zimmerman had actually stalked him to the back walkway home until he was dead on the ground.

In all likelihood, the gf heard from Trayvon himself that he was being followed while out walking in the neighborhood. Who would make the gigantic leap that he could possibly be shot dead for doing nothing but walking in the neighborhood? I can't even fathom that. Most kids their age would probably think that it was just a strange creeper, sexual pervert, or someone who was going to ask for money or try to buy/sell drugs. Who would even begin to imagine a weirdo creeper would pull a gun and shoot you dead? And to expect her to call 911 is an enormous stretch, even worse than GZ's nuisance calls. Can you imagine: : "hello 911, please send someone quick, I "think" someone "might" have just shoved my boyfriend, he hung up on me". I really don't think that's going to the top of the priority list. And, sadly, we know that wouldn't have saved Trayvon's life anyway because he was dead only a few moments later.

In either case, neither of these two should ever have needed to call 911, and they are certainly not at fault for Zimmerman's actions. LE responding to Zimmerman's EARLIER 911 call did not arrive until after Trayvon was already dead. :(

In order to be politically correct maybe he should have waited until the pickup truck got there or the getaway car. I know the new TV's are light but if this young man was planning on breaking into a home on a rainy Sunday night while everyone is watching the game, getting ready for work or school the next morning, I would think a vehicle would be necessary to carry away all this loot TM was after once he found a house with no one home. So where were his buddies to help him carry out all those electronics???? Well, too bad GZ didn't wait he could have gotten the rest of the gang, too. Another missed opportunity. You were kidding right? lol

I used the word "crime" due to the context of the conversation. Basically, someone was comparing this case to one in which a 19 year old black kid was approached by an officer who asked what he was doing before the kid shot the officer in the face. The poster stated that there was no outcry about that being a racial bias case. I was pointing out that in that case, the kid was the killer and was a criminal using a gun. In this case, the only crime committed by Trayvon was being black.

But as far as Trayvon being "suspicious", come on. He was acting like he was on drugs? He reached into his waistband? He was casing houses? Nonsense. Zimmerman knew exactly what to say to get the cops out there and to justify the possible use of his gun. Trayvon went to get candy and tea and then go home. He was only "suspicious" because he was a young black man walking around at night. Everything in that call to the police sounded so blatantly contrived and illogical, just like the stories that a scared young kid hid and then jumped a retreating Zimmerman, or confronted him saying, "What's up homie?" Or, wildly smashed a larger man's head into the concrete over and over again, or grappled for the gun while saying, "you're gonna' die", or dramatically grabbed his chest and stated, "You got me!" as he fell back after being shot.

Zimmerman's a good little story-teller. I think his stories sound silly and unreal but apparently they have served him well in the past and people believe him as they have gotten him out of trouble numerous times. No wonder he continues to tell stories. IMO.
