Where did that come from? He was on his way to do some shopping.
I question if that is true?

Why do I think Chris Serino is going to be the John Dean of this case?
Investigator Chris Serino then took Martin to another room and told him Zimmerman's version of events. Sanford police have stopped talking to reporters about the case, and Serino has never spoken publicly about his role in it, but here is how Martin recalls what Serino said:
Sanford police released Zimmerman without charge, but Martin says Serino told him he would challenge Zimmerman's account.
"The detective's words were, 'I want to interview him again to catch him in a lie,'" Martin said.
A law-enforcement source, who had been informed of the case by investigators, told Reuters that Serino was eager to bring a charge but encountered resistance from the office of the prosecutor, State Attorney Norman Wolfinger.
"Chris (Serino) would have made a recommendation for manslaughter, but Norm Wolfinger's office wanted it to be a slam dunk," said the source, who spoke on condition of anonymity. "They don't want to hear that this is wrong or that is wrong with the case. That's the way this county does business."

Wolfinger released a statement Monday saying he was "outraged by the outright lies contained in the letter..." and he, "encourages the Justice Department to investigate and document that no such meeting or communication occurred."
"I have been encouraging those spreading the irresponsible rhetoric to stop and allow State Attorney Angela Corey to complete her work," Wolfinger said. "Another falsehood distributed to the media does nothing to forward that process."
I wonder what Zimmerman was going to buy at Target? I don't find it unusual that someone would go to Target at that time, I just question if he was really going to Target?
I really, really want to see the videos from the complex. There has to be something on them. Entrance gates, clubhouse, etc...
It would have at least caught the beginning when Trayvon walked into the complex and Trayvon at the clubhouse. It should also probably show Zimmerman's truck.
I think there is a very good possibility this case will hinge on this report done by Officer Smith, at least the breaking open of the coverup going on in the police dept. From what I am putting together this report is false and he was instructed on what to put in it. IMO

I think it comes from the fact that many find it odd that toxicology was performed on TM's body but none was done on GZ. There are quite a few posters who feel that is unusual and wonder - IF there is some sort of coverup going on, if that lack of testing on the shooter is somehow evidence of same.

If GZ's past behavior is going to be examined then so should TM's.
For the life of me I can not figure out why Officer Smith swore under oath that Zimmerman was wearing a red jacket when in truth Zimmerman was wearing a red and black/gray jacket. This is an officer who knew he would have to get on a stand and testify to his words possibly and has plenty of experience calling in two tone cars and knows how important the truth is.
Look at this video and the colors on his coat, depending on where a witness was standing or above they might have gotten just a glance of the black or gray.
But after looking at Zimmerman so close to see the wet, the grass and even searching the coat, Officer Smith still swore under oath the coat was red. A lawyer would have a field day with that and will.
Tape showing the coat under lots of different lighting. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9WWDNbQUgm4&feature=youtu.be
I have been laying out my suspicions in my past post mainly based on these reports: http://www.sanfordfl.gov/investigation/docs/Twin Lakes Shooting Initial Report.pdfWhat coverup? Please give me some links.
http://www.cnn.com/2012/04/02/justice/florida-teen-shooting/index.htmlHe cited software that is widely used in Europe and has become recently accepted in the United States that examines characteristics like pitch and the space between spoken words to analyze voices. Using it, he found a 48% likelihood the voice is Zimmerman's. At least 60% is necessary to feel confident two samples are from the same source, he told CNN on Monday -- meaning it's unlikely it was Zimmerman who can be heard yelling.
The experts, both of whom said they have testified in cases involving audio analysis, stressed they cannot say who was screaming.
Referring to just this portion of George's call to the Police Department:
Dispatcher: Did you see what he was wearing?
George Zimmerman: Yeah. A dark hoodie, like a gray hoodie and either jeans or sweat pants and white tennis shoes. (unintelligible) I don't know, he's just staring.
Dispatcher: Oh, he's just walking around the area?
George Zimmerman: Looking at all the houses.
Dispatcher: Oh, okay.
George Zimmerman: He's just staring at me.
Dispatcher: Ok you said it is 1111 Retreat View or 111?
George Zimmerman: That's the club house.
Dispatcher: He's near the club house right now?
George Zimmerman: Yeah, now he's coming towards me.
Dispatcher: Okay.
George Zimmerman: He's got his hand in his waistband. Yeah, he's a black male.
Dispatcher: Ok, how old would you say he is.
George Zimmerman: He's got a button on his shirt. He's late teens.
Dispatcher: Late teens, okay.
George Zimmerman: Something's wrong with him. Yep, he's coming to check me out. He's got something in his hands, I don't know what his deal is.
My observations:
A dark hoodie, not light, and not white.
"He has his hand in his waistband." This would seem to mean that his hoodie is pulled up and the top of Trayvon's pants (the waistband of either his sweatpants or jeans) is showing. Now, just think about that. That would be just plain 'dorkie', not menacing.
And...
One of his hands is in his waistband and seconds later, Trayvon has something in his hands (plural). So, is George suggesting that Trayvon has pulled something from his waistband of either his pants or his jeans (George isn't sure) and now has something in both his hands?
Most hoodies that I have, and that most people have, have either a large pocket across the bottom, or pockets on both sides. Why would George be saying that Trayvon is pulling something from his waistband?
George is lying. IMO.

I see that many question Zimmerman's account because he says that Martin says "homie". Living in Central Florida, working around teens, and having 2 young adults in my home I hear it all the time. It is a very popular word to have come out of a teen around here.

Not that he would call police beforehand but I do believe he might have been setting his "self-defense" and reasonable doubt up with some of the things he said. He said all the right key words - hands in his waistband; he's up to something' he's checking me out; etc. etc.
Like I've said - I really think GZ thought TM had a gun. If TM had bought a can of Iced Tea and had that can in the front hoodie pocket - it would make a "bulge" that GZ could have interpreted as a gun.
GZ now thinking this suspicious guy has a gun - he (GZ) thinks if he does shoot that it will be justified as the other guy had one too.
JMHO
Here's what I think, FWIW...
I think he WAS out stalking his prey. His prey being those imagined A$$**le thugs that always got away. And I believe he does have a propensity for racial bias - so that makes him a racial predator, IMO. He called the police so that when the 'suspect' was arrested he would be hailed as a hero and savior in his world and little 'kingdom'. Once again, the 'suspect' was getting away and he wasn't about to let that happen so he went after him. I think he caught up to him and most likely grabbed him trying to 'detain' him and Trayvon fought back and he shot him being the coward he is.
So while I don't think he started off his day by deciding he was going to kill someone, I believe he is a racial predator and I think there was definitely premeditation and intent.
That's my opinion.
Thank you for so clearly stating your opinion. I really didn't feel like having to search through the comments to confirm my observation that there are those who purport that GZ was out searching for a black person to kill, i.e., "stalking his prey." For those who did not believe me, let the above comment speak for itself.
IIRC, he was on his way back from his errand run...
