The racial slur or lack of one was examined by a voice expert.

What about when the media paid a voice expert (the same one I do believe) to tell us it was Trayvon screaming?
Was that irresponsible journalism as well?

Trayvon's mother stated it was Trayvon screaming for his life long before any "paid expert" decided to jump in the ring. I choose to believe Ms. Fulton in this matter. Additionally, this information can be found in the probable cause affidavit as well.

For all we know, GZ could have gone to grab TM's arm, TM yanks his arm away and somehow GZ loses his balance, falls hard, when his head hits the sidewalk GZ starts screaming, TM bends over him and reaches down to help him up and GZ pulls his gun and shoots him. There are so many scenarios that can be imagined because we have no information. Seriously, we could all come up with a dozen right here, right now. IMO, that's the biggest hurdle in getting a conviction. There are simply too many believable scripts. If the prosecution can not narrow it down considerably, IMO, they will lose the case. Further, IMO, that's why GZ has been charged with 2nd degree: to scare him into a plea deal so that there is no chance he'll get off, because an acquittal to this highly publicized case will bring a very negative reaction and possibly end some careers.

You could say that the audio expert enhanced the 911 recordings and came to a conclusion that corroborates what Trayvon's mom believes.

The video expert enhanced the police station video and came to a conclusion that corroborates what's on the police report.

Police generally request identification at the scene. It may have been produced when Zimmerman produced his identification. I'm not sure why it would be mentioned in the report when it's a non-issue. It's not a crime, nor is it an element of the crime.

While I admit to having no expertise in regards to what LE is required to document/or not (only medical experience here, which is clear; "If you isn't documented, it didn't happen."), but IMO, I don't see it as a non-issue since THIS GUN was just used to kill someone, Trayvon in this case. You would think that it would be vitally important to record/document all elements surrounding that weapon, including documenting that the owner of the weapon AND shooter had a permit to carry - JMO~

If he wasn't in the proper mount position what was holding Zimmerman down?

I think GZ's brother may have "explained" that one when he told Piers Morgan that TM was:

"using his entire body weight to cover the mouth and nose, the broken nose, of the person who is screaming out for their life."

What do you think GZ wants to accomplish in a meeting with TM's family?

I have a hard time picturing the man who chose the Edmund Burke quote and the vandalism photo and gets his friends out telling everybody that TM beat him to a bloody pulp sincerely saying I'm sorry that your precious son is dead so what good could possibly come out of such a meeting?

It's out of the Martin family hands now, anyway.

Why is it necessary to record that the individual has a state-issued permit? If he did not have the permit on him, I could see that being written in the report... But do police write that the owner of a vehicle had a valid DL, registration, and insurance when they stopped the car? It's all extraneous to the crime if they do. If anyone was curious about him having a valid permit, they could easily look it up. There was no crime committed on that end, so it was a non-issue.

I think it's more of his defense attorney's strategy.

If TM was using his entire body weight to cover GZ's mouth and nose how did he manage to beat GZ's head against the sidewalk at the same time? It's awfully hard to do that to something you're sitting on with all your weight. Makes no sense to me.

Anyway, why does he refer to his brother as a "person"? Was it perhaps a different person who was screaming for their life?

I'll try to help you figure out the head banging if you'll help me understand how someone with his mouth and nose covered did all the screaming I heard.

I think we need to remember too that these PD reports were both labeled as partial and only from two of the officers on the scene. Really wish we have all the reports including the actual investigator's and ME's report.

  • #432
Not to mention GZ was as good as choking in his own blood.

  • #433
I think Officer Smith cherry picked things he put in that report to make Zimmerman look innocent. IMO

What would be his motive?

  • #434
I take the public statements of GZ's friends and family the same way I take the enhanced photos and audio: with a grain of salt

What happened to the margins??????? Does anyone else have a problem, or is it just my computer?

"In an interview with Bay News, O'Mara did not explain why his client wants the meeting, but said that if it were to happen, it would be private, just Zimmerman and Trayvon's parents, Tracy Martin and Sybrina Fulton."

http://globalgrind.com/news/george-zimmerman-private-meeting-trayvon-martin-parents-details

IMO, nothing good can come of it now and O'Maro, as an experienced attorney, knows that it ain't never gonna happen - it's just an attempt to paint his client as the nice guy reaching out. Then, when the meeting is turned down (rightly so) by Trayvon's parents, O'Mara will use their refusal against them in the media in order to sway public opinion and gain sympathy for George. While O'Maro's campaign may help bolster those who already have, shall we say biased views and, like George Zimmerman himself, O'Mara is underestimating the intelligence of the good and decent people who aren't buying GZ's BS story. It brought me to tears, Grammie....Jahvaris is so articulate...he talks about Trayvon in present tense is heartbreaking...he looks at it like his brother is away and will be coming back home...sadly, he never will be back home to them in the physical sense..

When my brother was first murdered, I used to wait for him to come through the front door ready for dinner...I once set a place for him at the table..then realized he's not here..It's a hard emotion to overcome, especially such an horrific, tragic loss of a young teen who had his whole life planned out...

I pray they find peace and solace and celebrate Trayvon's short life..

I'm so very sorry, LLL. I understand. When I get up in the night to go to the restroom, I still walk across the hall half asleep to check on my daughter. And that's been many years ago.

I'm so impressed with Jahvaris. He presents himself so well. And of course, Trayvon's parents are beyond dignified. I pray for the strength to get them through the difficult years ahead.

Question:

Who drives around with a registered loaded weapon, sees a suspect, calls LE for back-up, and then goes after that suspect knowing back-up will be there shortly?

I consider it a possibility that GZ was not "going after" TM, only keeping him within eye distance so he can report to LE when they arrived. I know many here disagree with that, but when I go through the evidence that is where I am led. We all draw our own conclusions from the evidence, and I still have not seen anything to indicate that GZ started the physical confrontation.

I've personally made no opinions based on what any audio or video expert have stated. I'm basing my opinions totally on what I have seen for myself in the original police dept surveillance of Zimmerman's arrival, Zimmerman's own words on the 911 call, as well as Trayvon's mother stating it was her son screaming for his life on the 911 call. Any other opinions that I've formed have came from listening to various interviews with Zimmmerman's family and friends which coincidentally confirms my original opinions on the entire case...

1. Zimmerman pursued Trayvon because he was determined that this f**** punk, @$$hole wasn't going to get away.
2. Zimmerman murdered Trayvon.
3. Sanford PD and the state attorney's office in Seminole County have screwed up big time.
