Is there anything in the police report that describes TM as a low life, drug user, or burglar?

No there isn't but its apparent to me TM dying was viewed by someone in SPD as being somewhat of an insignificant matter.. We are talking about a real human being, a young man who had just turned 17 who should have had his whole life in front of him.. You'll never convince me his life mattered to the SPD..Now they are ALL in CYA mode since it didn't "BLOW OVER" like they thought it would..JMHO

GZ's lawyer has better and more important things to worry about than to ambulance chase some internet nobody trying to scam people into giving money based on pretending to be GZ.

My only point is just because it has GZ's name attached to it doesn't automatically make it GZ's. And because the only verification is two people who IMO were never directly involved with this case anyway, doesn't prove anything either.

It is GZ's website. If you google it a ton of articles pull up.

Hollow Point Bullet: I yahoo'ed 'hollow point bullet demonstrations' and got some really good demonstrations. This type of bullet is bad business!

No, look at it again, I don't think I took it out of context, Donjeta. I'll go back and find the link if necessary, but last February when the burglary attempt allegedly went down, Frank has already talked about GZ calling him at work, I believe, to tell him what was happening at his house.

IMO, clearly what I have placed in red, as you say, is FT's version of what GZ told him the day of the show. Why would he begin a sentence with "He went on to share that on the night of February 2......", then start the very next sentence with "He called...." if it was a phone call earlier the same day?

He went on to share that on the night of February 2, as he was walking through the neighborhood, ensuring the safety of all the residents at Twin Lakes, that he observed a young black male looking in the front of my house. He called -- he told me that he was walking his 100-pound Rottweiler. And that he was carrying a 9 millimeter with him at that time.

That's the way I read it anyway.

First of all, I spoke with George at 1:06 today for about a half hour.

[...]

He went on to really elaborate what had happened that night on February 2. And I wrote down some notes as, you know, I was speaking to him, because I, like most 55-year-old men, have a tendency to forget some things. So if you`ll allow me.

It certainly sounds like he's recounting the call to me.

If he were referring to a conversation that took place on February 2, why would Taaffe have used that verbiage? "He went on to share that on the night of February 2". This is a quote directly from Taaffe, not reporting being done. In the context of the statement being made, "he" would be Zimmerman and the sharing would have been done during the aforementioned phone call that took place earlier that day in April.

I think someone had some good buds at SPD.

I, for one, believe he was standing.

If the dispatcher (and turn the officers who showed up) took what GZ 'implied' from the 911 call about TM and dismissed it based off that alone, the whole department should be shut down IMO.

Who knows?. May be that will happen when the Feds are done with their investigation.

  • #607
What did SPD have to gain by letting Zimmerman go? Nothing, but at that point, they thought they had nothing to lose.

They thought Trayvon was a young 🤬🤬🤬🤬, who was in the process of casing houses.

Well, GZ implied these things in his call to LE? It's right there in his own voice/words?

But the responding officers do not hear any of that call. They just get codes from the dispatcher, like suspicious male on premises, stuff like that.

Which version is this now. Lost count. BBM, so now Tray was standing when he was shot.

Wonder if george's side just got the autopsy & it says Trayvon was standing, so now George's story is being 'adjusted' again to match facts? lol. I don't suppose we'll be lucky enough to have the autopsy released tomorrow at the bond hearing, I think it's the smoking gun against George... imo it'll show Trayvon was standing and was shot from a distance, that he wasn't attacking George. jmo

I'm inclined to agree and sadly I suspect this happens everywhere more often than we care to admit.. My city included..JMHO

  • #612
But it's not in the police report. Correct? IMO, people are making very large leaps about what LE, not GZ, thought about TM.

Oh, I thought we were talking about GZ?

I will say that SPD has a history of not really caring about black victims... what makes it worse is that the same officer from the Collison case was the first officer to arrive on the scene of Trayvon's death and he was also the officer not using gloves when he searched George in that video. Why he still had his job still puzzles me?

BBM I agree with this! :floorlaugh:

Maybe not the complete department -- but there really needs to be a serious investigation into that department and heads need to roll!

Me too. I think he probably took a few steps before he fell which is how his body ended up on the hill.

JMO, OMO, and :moo:

And I just wonder if Trayvon got up after the short struggle and GZ shot him while GZ was still lying down and out of anger.

I know you didn't address this to me, but what the hey...

FT seems to me to have a need to seem important in life. And is very happy to be in the media spotlight. I have no idea if what his says is the truth or embellished. I really don't.

I take everything he says with a grain of salt, especially when he says "George wanted me to".. say, let you know, I talked to him for a half hour, Nancy I wore a new tie for you, Jane I missed you.

Maybe he has been on these shows since M'OM took over and I missed it? but he seems to have been quiet lately.

I'm not addressing the validity of what he's said. I'm saying that the intent was clearly to recount this alleged phone call he had, not share what he experienced on the night of February second.

OK, maybe. It's a bit ambiguous because it is a broken sentence imo, he was about to say something else but thought better of it.
I thought FT might have been about to say "He called 911" or "He called (the guy a really nasty name - no wait I can't say that on TV)".

I'm parsing the sentences like this "he told me .... that he was carrying at that time" and the last bit "at that time" being at the end suggests to me that the telling was now and referring to a past event.

But it's quite possible that FT knew all about GZ carrying. Or not. GZ didn't know about FT's son dying, apparently, so maybe they don't talk a lot as a rule.

Actually I had the thought at the time that FT was dutifully shocked as a token emotion
because there had been talk that neighborhood watch rules said one shouldn't have any weapons.

I also believe that the whole thing with the officer not using his gloves shows an officer who is very inadequately trained! You should look up the video of what he did during the Collison case! It was disgusting. He didn't even care about the victim on the ground! It was like "whatever" to him.

I just can not believe that a hollow point bullet is legal for private citizens. But only in NJ it appears to be illegal. And also by The Hague convention LOL. Just INCREDIBLE.
