I am still trying to catch up.....but...

In that article it mentioned that the investigators had GZ lay down on his back to reenact what happened that night....but what caught my eye was them saying that they had GZ scream for help?

So I'm assuming that was so his screams could be compared to the screaming that was heard on the 911 tape.....?

I had never believed that was GZ screaming on the 911 call....GZ probably still doesn't know that there were screams heard on the 911 call....

I think that reenactment is going to destroy GZ. JMO of course

Problem as I see it , IF they actually requested he scream out the word "HELP" it may very well match the call for "HELP" we did hear... IMHO..The actual moaning, screams and wailing we heard came from TM not GZ. I suspect IF GZ called out the word "HELP" It was ONLY when he shot TM...JMHO

If George gets anything less than a $500,000.00 bond, I am going to be livid! It has nothing to do with his finances? It has to do with the crime he is charged with and he is in fact charged with murder. 2nd degree, but it is still murder.

I agree Lola. Richard Hornsby's site spells out exactly what second degree murder entails...

Murder with a Depraved Mind
Murder with a Depraved Mind occurs when a person is killed, without any premeditated design, by an act imminently dangerous to another and evincing a depraved mind showing no regard for human life.

The primary distinction between Premeditated First Degree Murder and Second Degree Murder with a Depraved Mind is that First Degree Murder requires a specific and premeditated intent to kill.

http://www.richardhornsby.com/crimes/homicide/second-degree-murder.html

Furthermore, the definition of depraved means...

depraved [dɪˈpreɪvd]
adj
morally bad or debased; corrupt; perverted
depravedness [dɪˈpreɪvɪdnɪs] n
http://www.thefreedictionary.com/depraved

Definition of DEPRAVED

: marked by corruption or evil; especially : perverted

Yup! That about sums it up for me!

What gets me is saying his finances would have anything to do with the amount the bond would be set at? His finances have nothing to do with it... I wouldn't think? So someone... say who is unemployed and is charged with 2nd degree murder can have his bond set at $0.00 because he has no income?

Makes no sense!

If FCA can get a $500,000.00 bond for her initial charges... George should be able to get at least an even MILLION dollar bond.

If Trayvon was the one screaming, this is 100% second degree murder. No ifs, ands, or buts...IMO

I am glad Trayvon's parents have refused to see George. IMO, they do not owe George anything right now -- not with the attitude he displayed on his website!

Can that be used against him in court? It shows his frame of mind after the shooting? He thought he was some sort of mythical hero (imo) and he had saved the world.

How sweet  Let's see...where might that be? A condo in the Bahamas? A posh all-inclusive resort in the Caribbean? The perps's mother's home in Peru? O'Mara's Emerald Isle? I have zero respect for Country Club Criminals. :moo:

Makes me sick at the thought of GZ being coddled in luxury for shooting an unarmed kid. Brings back those memories of another Fla. case

Trayvon Martin: George Zimmerman kicked out of Seminole State College
4:16 p.m. EST, March 22, 2012|

By Bianca Prieto, Orlando Sentinel

George Zimmerman was kicked out of Seminole State College today, in the wake of the Trayvon Martin shooting.

"Due to the highly charged and high-profile controversy involving this student, Seminole State has taken the unusual but necessary step this week to withdraw Mr. Zimmerman from enrollment," according to a statement from the college. "This decision is based solely on our responsibility to provide for the safety of our students on campus as well as for Mr. Zimmerman."

Zimmerman, 28, first enrolled at the college in 2003 and was working toward a vocational certificate to become an insurance agent. He re-enrolled in 2009 and was working toward an Associate in Arts degree in a general studies program, according to the college.

I wonder if he displayed a "Diploma" much like someone else displayed an "Employee of the Month" certificate? :banghead:

Oh man!! I didn't think of phone calls or visits either?? I bet they did tell him not to call anyone or talk to anyone. :banghead:

Geesh... those were the good old days!

BBM until the verdict :banghead:

But I will say that GZ's family should be allowed to call in their testimony tomorrow. No one else needs to be harassed or fearful because this is all on George. He is a grown man who chose to follow a "kid" (his word) in the dark, in the rain, with a gun.

IMO JMO He has set back concealed carry rights, gun rights and exposed a lot of raw emotions. Trayvon died for the felony stupid of one man.

I would really like to know how many other murderers who have been charged with second degree murder are currently out on bond in the state of Florida?

Once? A neighborhood couple were fighting and I could hear him hitting her and I tried to bang on the door (I was only 13) so he would stop and he wouldn't stop so I called 911. She didn't press charges on him and the cops didn't even arrest him even though her face was bloody. I wasn't allowed to hang out with their kids after that -- their decision. :banghead:

probably depends on what kind of neighborhood you live in and whether you are part of a neighborhood watch. I don't remember the exact number but wasn't it 45-ish over a significant number of years?

I agree! I wouldn't show my face if I was related to him even if I didn't agree with what he did.

I haven't kept up here (sorry) but have they released any of GZ jail telephone calls or video visits yet? TIA

Hmmm, you know, I don't think those would be covered under the case document seal. Hope some news media requests them!

The amount of 911 calls he has made is disturbing. He is an individual that either has the worst luck and trouble always seems to find him......or hes always looking for trouble. imo his behavior is very disturbing.

  • #679
Has anyone looked into who has visited George? I know we would know if his lawyers visited too? Would be interesting to see how many times O'Mara has been up there to talk to George?

I also would not put O'Mara in the same sentence as JB. Now if we get rumblings about a $500,000.00 exclusive interview being shopped -- I reserve the right to change my mind.

I still want to know if his myspace nickname was changed to "datniggytb"after he murdered Trayvon Benjamin Martin.

:what: What??

ETA: Spill the beans on this please?? I don't know anything about this?

ETA: Isn't Trayvon's middle name Benjamin?

ETA:: Yes, I see you did say it was Benjamin!!

Was this George's nickname??
