There goes my theory that he folded under investigation pressure and confessed. IMO
Yeah, I don't see this guy as the type who is going to confess to anything. He is going to make the state work for his conviction, denying until the end, but I suspect he had GSR on him when checked, and LE may have found the gun at the home and matched it to the bullets that killed AF. As to possible motive, if there is another love interest in the picture, and I suspect there likely may be, someone knows about it, and if they don't already, LE soon will. JMO

Well ... again.
Again, a seemingly man of deep faith decides that murdering his children's mother is the answer to whatever was going on in his life that divorce couldn't solve.
While I am usually reluctant to point the finger at the husband so soon in a case, even I knew it was him right away. As we wait for further information and the AA, my thoughts and prayers are with two precious little girls whose loving Mama was violently murdered by their father ... horrific!
May justice be swift and severe.
Godspeed Ashley.

Husband of Ohio teacher shot to death in home charged in her murder

Updated: 10:12 AM EST Feb 20, 2026

[…]

The investigation first began when officers responded to the 900 block of Cunningham Court around 2:30 a.m. Monday on a report of a burglary and shooting.

Responding officers were met at the home by an adult male later identified as Caleb Flynn and their two children. Police say Caleb Flynn called 911 to report a burglary and shooting.

At the home, police located the woman identified as Ashley Flynn, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said the two children were sleeping in their rooms when the shooting happened and were unharmed.

Caleb Flynn has now been charged with one count of murder, two counts of felonious assault and two counts of tampering with evidence.

"The Tipp City Police Department appreciates the community’s patience and support while this collaborative investigative team worked diligently on this complex case. We also extend our sincere appreciation to the many agencies that have assisted—and continue to assist—in this investigation involving a tragic loss of life," the department stated.

Police Chief Greg Adkins said the investigation gave them probable cause to charge Flynn with the murder of his wife.

Court documents filed allege Caleb used a 9mm handgun to shoot and kill his wife.

911 call just released.
Listen:

CF was not prepared for the operator to ask "what are you seeing?", CF responds she has two shots to her head. Wow. Very specific for him to know that, because this would be a horrid bloody messy scene if she was shot in the head, twice. He volunteers the door to the garage was wide open.

There is SO MUCH to unpack in this 911 call. I think the operators question (what are you seeing) from the start did not play into the rehearsed narrative he played out in his head.

The 911 operator is more worried about his children than he is. CF is not worried about them because he knows HE didn't harm them, he didn't shoot them like he did their mom.

What a weak and pathetic MAN.

911 Call Released

So ... listening to this 911 call I am very curious as to the lack of any movement, noise, yelling, crying ... anything from the children! I am wondering if they were drugged ... how is it possible with their father talking on the phone, crying, repeating Oh My God, Oh My God ... and then the arrival of the police, all that conversation and movement ... after two gunshots! How could they possibly be sleeping???

OMG, he is such a bad actor with his fake crying and hyperventilating. He was with the children when it happened, but he left them to go investigate. uh huh. Wow. He is toast.

"Ashley baby, baby please."💩

DISPATCHER "can you go check on the juveniles for me" while he does everything but that

So unnecessary and so unfortunate. Is there any information on whether perhaps she had intended to leave the marriage? Bless the dear victim and her children. :( And I am no way casting any aspersions on the victim!

Now I will sit on my hands and type thoughts on the husband, apparent assailant CF.

I will report to moderators to update this thread with an arrest. And perhaps CF name should be prominently spelled out in the title as the arrested one. SMH. MOO

He clearly had his story planned out and practiced before he made the 911 call, and I agree, the fake crying and hyperventilating were so over-the-top. I bet when LE arrived, it was obvious he had not actually shed a tear..

Another thing to consider when listening to CF's 911 call and many people don't know this. Most 911 systems begin recording as soon as the call connects to dispatch, which can be before the caller hears the operator speak. Considering this as potential, listen to the start of the call again before the operator speaks.

It is common for people in a crisis to escalate their emotions when they are speaking about the events. But, I just hear a small sigh before dispatch speaks, then he get's right into his bizarre hysteria.

Again, there is so much to unpack in this disaster of a 911 call. IMO

Disgusting piece of trash. So it is who we all thought it was. Though I was trying to believe it wasn't him because then the children lose both parents. What makes a person do this? If you google, there are SO many women killed by their SO lately. What are the signs someone you've known for 20 years will kill you? I simply can't understand why a man would do this to his wife and mother of their children? How does someone think they will actually get away with this bs story and not spend the rest of their pathetic life in prison? It just makes NO sense to me. I think friends and investigators should come out and state what the warnings signs are in each of these cases. I mean, he must have been thinking and planning it out for a while. Or does someone suddenly just snap one day and do this? Again, just trying to make sense. I am currently not on good terms with my husband of 18 years but I don't think he will just someday come into my bedroom and shoot me. Or will he? That sounds terrible. But how does one ever know??
I have a relative that every time they do something despicable excuses it by saying, "but God wants me to be happy". I think this guy is similar. It's a lifetime of grandiosity fueled by his religious narcissism. That's my take.

Shades of the 911 call in Ellen Greenberg’s case and Alec Murdaugh’s 911 call. These guys are really lousy actors.

OMG, OMG, OMG. What a call! The 911 operator did a great job though he's clearly not buying it.

Didn’t CF at one point on the call say he was with the children? Then he said wasn’t - they were alone in their room asleep. Then he was with his slain wife?

And he kept jumping back and forth between whether he was speaking of the children - or the slain wife.

And how he was so quick to say that he heard no noises. He was asked that at least twice by the 911 operator / dispatch. IMO I think he deliberately waited for the kids to be asleep and then……

I agree. That 911 operator was seemingly onto the fact this wasn’t adding up at all. Sad as the case is, the 911 dispatch should be commended for what he elicited from the ‘distraught husband’ - arrested assailant. MOO

his high pitched fake distressed crying hyperventilating act served only to make the dispatcher believe they were talking with a female. Ma'am? ma'am. What an awful human CF is.
